The cabin we stayed in was wonderful. Clean, neat and well kept up. The surroundings were wonderful as well being set in the woods and just far enough away from others. All in all it was a wonderful place to stay and will be back.
We came for the Christmas holidays and the cabin was very clean and fully decorated. It put us all in the Christmas spirit.
The bear themed décor, the bedrooms, "bear cave" for kids, game room, fireplace. Everything was great and exactly as advertised.
We loved the bear decor and the hot tub!
Plenty of room for our family. The kids loved the game area!
It was better than I expected. The cabin was clean and organize. Lots of black bears decorations, very pretty! 10/10 I will definitely stay at that cabin again!
Nice place to stay. Place could use some repairs but overall enjoyed the stay.
The cabin was nice and clean. Beds were very comfortable. Nice location and very quite area. You were back on the parkway in a few short minutes. We would stay at Big Daddy’s again. We loved it!
We had a great time. The cabin was the perfect size for two families with small kids. My only concern was this: I received a text from the company the evening we checked in stating to let them know if we needed anything. When putting our baby to sleep the first night, I noticed the smoke detector had been opened and the batteries taken out. I texted the company immediately and let them know that this was the case. They responded and said they'd have someone out the next morning to get it working. However, no one showed and we spent the weekend with at least one non-functioning smoke alarm. Given the recent forest fire incidents, I thought for sure that would be a bigger concern, and certainly wasn't a worry I needed in the back of my head the whole weekend we were there.
We sincerely apologize the smoke detectors were not addressed during this stay and certainly do not want our guests to worry unnecessarily. The smoke detector has been addressed. Thank you!
The cabin was cute and we had a great time. The only 2 issues we had was how musty it smelled and the leaking from the upstairs shower. Everyone followed the shower instructions but there was still leaking in the 1st floor bathroom.
We loved our stay. Cute cabin, big backyard, lots of privacy! We loved that it was away from the main drag of Pigeon Forge but still close to everything - a 10/15min drive to grocery stores & an adorable little Amish store right up the road.
It had everything we needed (even a baby gate - which was perfect for us!!)
The only thing to note is the blinds aren’t very private, so if you’re in the front bedroom - change clothes in the bathroom.
We will definitely stay here again.
My 4 year old grandson cried to stay. I had 4 generations under one roof and everyone loved this cabin. My mom said it was the best equipped place she had ever stayed. My daughter in law wants a bed like they slept in. Can’t say enough good things about this cabin.
We went for the labor day weekend and we had a good time. The place is easily accessible and is clean. I would recommend this cottage and visit it again in fall.
Over all it was pretty good vacation the place was nice and neat only thing wasn’t comfy the mattress and the internet was very poor or I should say there was no internet other than that we enjoyed the stay
I loved that fact that we were able to have our own home cooked meals at anytime. The kids loved the bedroom upstairs cuz it had it's own bathroom and the game room was right there. They also loved the hot tub alot. Only down fall was that the shower upstairs leaks so we all had to share one shower, and none of the frying pans were big enough except the cast iron pan and I didn't want to use that on the glass top stove, but we made due just next time I'll bring my big pan.
We really enjoyed our stay! It was a great cabin that we really enjoyed!
Our family, ranging in ages from 9 to 72, loved everything about this charming cabin. It is clear that a lot of thought and care was put into the decor and amenities. You can see little bear-themed decor peaking out from all sorts of places.
The kitchen has everything you need and includes a crockpot, toaster, coffee pot, and plenty of cookware. There were even skewers under the sink that we used to roast hot dogs and make smores.
The three beds were very comfortable and there were extra blankets and pillows tucked away if we needed them. One note: the hideaway area for the little ones is in the master bedroom. Keep that in mind if you would prefer a completely private area for a couple to share.
The location is far enough out that you don't have to worry about constant traffic, but it is just a 10 minute drive over to the Parkway through Pigeon Forge and about 20 minutes down to Gatlinburg. We found it to be just the right mix of proximity to attractions with plenty of privacy.
We wouldn't hesitate to stay at Bid Daddy's Hideaway if we return to the area again. We loved it!
This cabin really has it all. We loved everything about it. We like to cook our own meals while on vacation and this cabin has everything you need to cook/make whatever you want. The entertainment is endless with foosball, air hockey, puzzles, various other games, a fire pit, outdoor seating, a spacious yard to explore, a hot tub, a short trek down to a creek, and DVD players in all 3 rooms! The cabin was extremely clean and well organized while offering comfy beds (the bear cove was a huge hit), ample blankets, plenty of seating for our family of 5, a wood burning fireplace (much appreciated since we had snow 3 days of our stay and temps never broke above 45), as well as laundry pods, dishwashing soap and pods. The only downside is the weather was too cold for us to enjoy much of the outdoor offerings. We did take advantage of the provided walking sticks. I mean, so many things were considered while equipping this cabin. The drive in is not scary or difficult. There is a slight incline, but nothing severe. The directions were spot on and much needed as GPS steers you wrong.
My only suggestion would be to provide more towels. I did have to wash to keep up with our crew. This could probably be avoided if there were separate towels for the hot tub with an outside drying rack (just a thought).
All in all, my whole family loves it here. We cannot wait to go back and reserve this cabin. We have made many trips to the Smoky Mountains and have always stayed in a cabin. This was the smoothest, most pleasurable stay. The management company is very clear and concise with communications regarding stay, expectations, area attractions, directions, and exit requirements. No guessing games here; just top notch! Thank you to the owners of this cabin for allowing us to rent and have a wonderful stay. The cabin is beautiful and decorated quaintly.
This place is a gem!! As soon as we pulled up we were not disappointed! The cabin is beautiful but yet has a very home like feel. We grilled out, played games, relaxed in the hot tub and enjoyed the peacefulness of the area. If you book this cabin you will not be disappointed!
We came from west Tennessee to ride the train before christmas with my sisters and their families. The house was lovely for a getaway but no more then 4 people and two compact cars for the house! My husband and I dtive full size trycks so it was a tight squeeze but we enjoyed iur stay! It was festive and quaint. My nephew loved the bear den in the master suit until it was bedtime lol. Great experience
We loved our time in the Smoky Mountains Area and 'Big Daddy's' made a great home base! Great location that is quiet and woodsy, but still close to town (really closer to Pigeon Forge rather than Sevierville which was perfect). The beds were super comfy and all of the furnishings gave a great cabin feel. The whole place was very clean and welcoming. Sadly we didn't get the opportunity to use the fire-pit, but it looked awesome! The common area and kitchen were a bit smaller than expected , but still functional.
Our family of 4 stayed here during Thanksgiving week, and we loved it! I specifically wanted a wood burning fireplace (which we found here) and a fire pit outside. The kids loved building fires and roasting marshmallows. The floor plan was perfect. The kitchen had an abundance of plates, utensils, cooking supplies etc. It was nice to have a fully stocked kitchen because we ate at the Cabin quite a bit. Lots of extra blankets and pillows were provided, which was a great help on those winter nights. We also enjoyed the hot tub outside on the back porch and the air hockey table and fuse ball table in the loft! The only complaint I have is that it was a bit noisy. There is no insulation between floors, so you can hear every footstep or every cough when you were trying to sleep. If we were sharing this with another couple, there would have been no privacy. Luckily it was just our little family, so it was ok. Other than that, we are very happy with this cabin and it's location! It had everything we wanted.
This cabin is nice but the kitchen & upstairs shower are very small. There was no cabinet space in the kitchen for the guests food or snacks. The kitchen cabinets are packed with dishes, plastic cups etc. The back yard is very nice with a fire pit etc. which we really enjoyed. We have stayed in several Moose Creek Cabins in the past & look forward to next year.
We enjoyed Big Daddy's Cabin! It is beautiful!
Lots of great spaces and activities for kids! Hot tub was very nice too.
We enjoyed our stay here very much. Cabin was nicely furnished, hot tub was nice (a little too full) but that was ok. Dishwasher does need to be replaced. It works but is falling out of his slot when the bottom drawer is pulled out and full of dishes. Be mindful that it is a legit cabin so you can hear everything between rooms and upstairs and downstairs. We had a small child(2 year old) and we stayed upstairs. We could hear everything downstairs from the tv to other guest talking and they could hear him crying and waking up early in the am. Location is great! Close to the Island and restaurants.
The dishwasher has been repaired. We are glad to see this guest enjoyed this great spot!
First of all we did have a great time at this cabin. I was very pleased with the location. Very private and only about 10 minutes away from pigeon forge. It was a little on the smallest side than what I had expected. Other than that it was very nice and well furnished.
Great place, family enjoyed every minute..safe and clean
Upstairs shower is small otherwise it's a very nice cabin
Very good cabin.we had 7 total family members and plenty of room for sleeping.very close to sights such as dollywood;dixie stampede;resturants. .about 15 minutes from all.
This was a nice cabin, location was fine! It is very well supplied and clean. I would suggest updates on furnishings and privacy covering for bedroom windows. We enjoyed our visit!!
Overall the cabin was to our satisfaction. Our only small complaint is the bedroom upstairs was hot at night (making it difficult to have a restful sleep) and the shower in this same bedroom was extremely small for adults to shower comfortably. We loved the spacious bedrooms and definitely loved the fire-pit! The area couldn't be better, close to everything...a big plus!
Nice cabin! It was a quiet location, a little smaller than what I thought it would be. However, overall the stay was great!
The cabin was very cute and surpassed our expectations. Sign of cabin outside helped us locate correct cabin.
Wish I could have stayed longer
Cabin is in a great location. Hot tub and outdoor fire pit were great. Kids loved the cabin. Upstairs bed was so comfortable. Great place to stay
We had a blast it was amazing up there
The house was perfect and very easy to get to. Vacasa made checking in and out very easy.
