Take it all in from the deck, or even your private hot tub!
Inside, floor-to-ceiling wooden details along with naturalistic paintings, create a relaxing rustic atmosphere. Take a seat in the cozy living room to read a book or lounge with your nearest and dearest. There's no internet access in this home, but with nature all around you, and your sweetheart snuggled up beside you, you won't miss it one bit.
The kitchenette makes dinnertime fun for everyone! Everything you need to make basic meals is present and accounted for in this compact cooking space, with a nearby table for four where you can enjoy your food.
Three guests can sleep in this home at once, thanks to a twin-size chair sleeper and a queen-size bed in the loft upstairs. Wake up and step outside to breathe in that fresh, clean mountain air, before showering in the bathroom and heading out for the day!
Maryville is nearby and offers a nice change of pace with its bustling atmosphere. The town has several shops and restaurants for you to explore, on top of historic attractions like Fort Craig Spring. Pigeon Forge, meanwhile, is a short drive to the east and offers family-friendly thrills at Dollywood and WonderWorks. Of course, you shouldn't forget about the Smoky Mountains themselves - natural beauty awaits you at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

This was a sweet little cabin, perfect for a couple get-away or with one child. We would recommend having really good knees and hips since the stairs are steep.
Georgia D.May 2021
The cabin is decorated nicely. I few suggestions, a few plugins would help with the musty smell. Another end table in the living room for putting belonging on. Hangers for clothes up in the bedroom area and also a chair would be great. There was no waste basket up in the bedroom. We really enjoyed our time in Tennessee, great food, shopping, riding our motorcycle, seeing bear and spending time with friends. Thank you, Georgia Davis
Hi, Georgia! Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your visit. We will suggest plug-ins, hangers, and an additional trash can to the homeowner. We hope to see you again!

This cabin has it all: Adirondack rocking chairs to take in the mountains on the front porch, hot tub to soak away stress, and fully equipped home away from home!
Kevin C.Apr 2021
We came here for our 15th anniversary and we absolutely loved it! The cabin and setting is perfect! It’s a perfect get away for 2! Highly recommend this place!

My husband and I stayed here for a few days and we had such a relaxing time. It is off a main road but it wasn't distracting to us. Its not secluded but its tucked away enough to have your privacy. It was clean and tidy when we arrived and the pictures show exactly what you are getting. I misread the description and brought food to cook in an oven. Overall, we would absolutely come back to stay! This is what we needed to reset and relax.

We stayed five nights in Bear Haven. It’s a small but perfect for a couple. The hot tub was a plus as well as the wood burning fire place. There is a tv with cable, we loved the electric reclining love seat, it was very comfortable. The bed was too, although only a queen size it was still comfortable. The only negatives, there is no oven or dishwasher and the yard was not kept neat, it looks a little neglected. We also missed having a view.
We did see bears, they walked right past the back door and all around the property.
Hi Linda, thank you for staying with us. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay. We apologize if there were any appliances not included in the home. We provide photos, a virtual tour, a unit description, and a list of available amenities so that future guests know exactly what they will be seeing upon arrival. We appreciate your feedback and hope you'll join us again soon.

Tin roof was amazing with the rain and the bed was so comfortable.
Rolanda S.Sep 2020
Great secluded cabin. Not far from places to go, eateries, and attractions. Very comfy and home like feel.
Donna H.Aug 2020
The cabin was so nice. Enjoyed the small town and it’s shop’s. It was very relaxing and that was what I needed. Loved my stay.
Jacqueline K.Aug 2020
Very secluded, yes there’s a house next door but no one was there and we couldn’t see it unless we went off the deck. Did have a bear in the backyard one afternoon, it was cool and it left after a few minutes. Hot tub was amazing, furniture was really comfy. Overall a great place we’ll come back to in the fall/winter.

Perfect cabin for a a couple. We honeymooned here and it was great! Fairly private, minutes from Townsend, 20 minutes to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. About the same to Cades Cove and the Smokies. We even had a Black Bear pass through a few evenings in a row while we were in the hot tub on the porch. It was less tan 20 yards away! Only downside is no wi-fi, which wouldn't be that big of a deal except the cell service is very poor except late at night and early in the morning.
Breanna S.Aug 2020
Very peaceful but close to town too had a couple bears stroll by and very nice sitting on the porch just listening to the wildlife definitely will try and get this cabin again when I go back to Tennessee
James S.Aug 2020
Found the cabin clean, comfortable, convenient. Hot tub worked great. Layout is cute with the loft bedroom. Nice frig/freezer room. There were two houses not too far away but this cabin is set so there really is privacy, even in the hot tub. Nice gazebo swing. Would stay again.

Quiet quaint accessible well furnished

That is on the go while in Townsend. A great place to recharge and close to everything. Only downside is no WiFi for internet. Verizon reception was spotty at best.
DANNY C.May 2020
We had a great stay at Bear Haven. It was so relaxing. Very nice cabin. Perfect for our anniversary getaway. We enjoyed the hot tub and even saw several bear right by the cabin. We would definitely like to stay at Bear Haven in the future! Would highly recommend this cabin to others
Drew B.Apr 2020
Pros - cute cabin, hot tub, nice kitchen, friendly peaceful town
Cons- not secluded, ad made it seem like it was secluded and private but there are houses right next to the cabin also hot tub was out in front while cars and you can hear every car that drives by. Those were our main issues, maybe mention that there are houses surrounding the area in the ad

The cabin was very clean and the location was perfect. Just 10 miles from Cades Cove. Townsend is the quiet side of the Smokies and we love the laid back pace.
The cabin was clean with plenty of towels and such. If it were my cabin I would rearrange the layout but that's just me. I would also provide wood for the fireplace but as far as a fun lil cabin to use for a weekend escape it's perfect. I would certainly recommend this cabin for a couple to spend some 1 on 1 time.
We're so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay in our home! We appreciate your feedback regarding the layout of the home. If we begin providing wood for the fireplace as an amenity, we'll be sure to list it in our listing description. We hope to host you again soon!

We were happy with our decision to stay at the Bear Haven cabin. It was quiet and away from all the activity, but close enough that we could get to our activities with an easy scenic drive. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. It was clean and had everything we needed for a great stay.
Joan M.Oct 2019
Convenient location, nice accommodations.
Mike C.Sep 2019
This small cabin off the main road in Townsend was just what we needed for our Honeymoon/Getaway. Our only complain was that the loft bedroom area was a bit hot
Stacey A.Sep 2019
This cabin exceeded all my expectations. It is very clean, comfortable, and extremely cozy. Perfect for a long weekend getaway. We can't wait to book it again.
Ariel W.Sep 2019
Cabin is nice. Just probably need to ensure the remotes are working and possibly update the tv and add-in Wi-Fi which would make it so much better.
Thank you for leaving feedback, Ariel! We are glad you enjoyed your stay at this cozy Townsend cabin, and we are happy to report that the remote is now working due to the replacement of new batteries. While this cabin offers a flat screen tv, we’ll pass your comments onto our management team for consideration. We hope to have another chance to impress you in the future!
Robin B.Aug 2019
Great place when all you need is a place to sleep and a porch to sit on:). Last morning there had morning visitors - two bears running down the side of the mountain, passing the cabin and playing together down the driveway. Of course - respect for the wild and nature and watched without disturbing. Great porch to watch nature and just a hop skip and a jump from Townsend’s main road for convenience.
Troy H.Jul 2019
Location perfect and very clean.
Shayne M.Jul 2019
The cabin was spotless and had everything we could have possibly needed. All furnishings were comfortable. Hot tub was great after a long day on motorcycle and was still close to town.
Diana S.May 2019
Very clean, great location, saw bears on the property. Only complaint was the address for the directions should've included W. or E. Would've saved us some time trying to find it.
Larry G.Apr 2019
We loved the privacy and the secluded part but still easy access to get out to all parts of the area
Ginger H.Apr 2019

JOEL P.Nov 2018
The price is fair and the hot tub is nice. Its easy to get to.
Ian H.Nov 2018
This is a lovely little house. Convenient to everything and includes everything you need. The cabin was cozy and comfortable. The fireplace and hot tub were great perks. Very quiet and peaceful and we felt very secluded, even though the main road is close by! We did not see any bears.
Cindy K.Oct 2018
We loved the town of Townsend so quite. Close to Cades Cove our favorite place to visit!! The CABIN was great!!
Clark H.Oct 2018
Quiet, comfortable, surrounded by trees. Other houses closer than you think, but layout makes it unnoticeable. Gazebo needs some work, but otherwise excellent.
Janice M.Sep 2018

Robert R.Sep 2018

Quaint cabin, Nice and quiet. We enjoyed then bear hanging around. Trash was shattered around and trash can smashed. We picked up trash and left in cabin with our trash. Might tell renters to to keep trash inside. will be back

We loved our stay here! Everything was perfect. Very relaxing atmosphere and low key town. My husband and I stayed for 3 days and we didn’t want to leave. We will be back! This cabin is close to Cades Cove, Tuckaleechee Cave & the Heritgae Museum. I suggest you visit them all. If you are looking for a cozy, calm place to stay —-this is it!

Daniel M.Apr 2018
We loved the cabin. Near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park entrance. Very comfortable.
Kristina M.Apr 2018
My husband and I stayed two nights for an anniversary getaway. It was so cute and cozy, we didn't want to leave! We loved having a fire in the fireplace to keep us warm, and we cooked all our own meals in the cabin. It was a perfect little getaway!
Peyton B.Mar 2018
It is not a secluded cabin. You are a .10 of a mile off a 4 lane highway and a 2 lane is right in front of the cabin. We wanted to get away and relax in the mountains away from traffic and watch some tv, but we didn't have a tv to watch until the day we left. Which was 2 days after we notified them, and it sure wasn't secluded. It was a wasted trip!!
Nicole B.Jan 2018
My husband and I spent our anniversary in Bear Haven! Perfect location. Cabin fits description and pictures. So cozy! We loved the hot tub! Great area in Townsend with grocery and food options! So pleased.
Lana B.Nov 2017
We stayed during Thanksgiving . Perfect cabin for two. Hot tub and fireplace added to the cozy atmosphere . Bed was comfortable and bath linens good quality. Several added touches that made stay special. Nice community away from tourist congestion but still super convenient to cades cove and attractions. Would stay again.

Rafal R.Oct 2017
Another great week spent in this cabin and once again we were very pleased with everything offered. It’s a perfect place to spend some time away from work.
This place offers everything from A to Z so all you have to do is just to be here. Nice and quiet cabin, away from road traffic so you can fully relax. We’ll be back next year. Thank you for another superb vacation.
Kenneth G.Oct 2017
Very peaceful & restful
John A.Oct 2017
This cabin is priced right, pretty much right in Townsend and yet very secluded. Only steps from the running path which we enjoyed very much. We will be planning to stay here for future visits. Loved this place so much.
Tracy R.Sep 2017
Simple, cozy, quiet and price just right.
Veronica B.Aug 2017
This cabin is a wonderful place to stay. It's convenient to Townsend, Pigeon Forge & the mountains. It is also a beautiful place just to unwind and enjoy the quietness. The property is well kept. I loved the gazebo.

We honeymooned in a campground outside of Gatlinburg and spent a few days at the end at the cabin and it was the perfect way to finish the vacation!
James F.Aug 2017
Wonderful cabin. Would highly recommend
Brooke A.Jul 2017
My boyfriend and I spent a long weekend in Bear Haven, and it was fabulous. The cabin is secluded, but still close to a lot of great activities. If you stay during the summer, make sure to bring a small AC unit. It gets very hot in the loft, which is where the bed is. I can't wait to go back!
Steve C.Jul 2017
We enjoyed staying at this cozy cabin. Quiet and secluded but close to the park and activities. We would definitely be interested in staying again.
Tina D.Jun 2017
What a pleasant surprise this cute litttle cabin was. Very clean and easy to get to. Came here to visit for a friends wedding and this place was perfect! Pigeon Forge about a 25 minute drive. A quiet little place away from the busyness of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We had a great time relaxing here! Loved Townsend and Tuckaleechee Caverns (very close). We will be back!
Anna K.Jun 2017
The cabin is cute and quaint, also we had a bear get into the garbage can our last night there around 1: 00 in the morning
Crystal B.Jun 2017
The cabin was clean, cozy, and convenient.
