Dog-friendly hillside cabin with private hot tub and stunning views!
Please your family, friends, and canine companions with an adventure in Tennessee's breathtaking Smoky Mountains! Between gorgeous natural views and modern comforts like a private hot tub, you're all set for an unforgettable vacation.
On your way to your new home away from home, stop in the nearby town of Wears Valley. The humble community features rolling green hills and shops just to the east of your cabin. Once you arrive, marvel at the lush valley below from one of the wrap-around porches, or from the comfort of the private hot tub. Your dogs will love it here, too - they're more than welcome for a small nightly fee!
Inside, the wooden textures throughout the home and rustic knick-knacks adorning the walls and shelves create a homey, welcoming atmosphere. Warm up by the fireplace in the living room, which gives you easy access to the views of the deck, as well as plush seats on the sofa and recliner. Just because this home lets you unplug from WiFi, doesn't mean you have to go without entertainment: The TV offers cable and a Blu-ray player.
Once it's time for dinner, flick off the TV and head into the kitchen. All the basic appliances give you everything you need for cooking, to say nothing of the charcoal grill on the deck. Savor your food at the table for six - or out on the deck - before loading the dishwasher and heading off to bed.
Two bedrooms - along with a futon and queen sofabed - allow eight guests to stay at once! The loft and master bedroom each have luxurious king-size beds. Freshen up with a shower in one of the three bathrooms and get ready for a fun day out!
From restaurants like Smokin' Joe's to the gentle babble of the Little River, nearby Townsend is always worth a visit. Meanwhile, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is within reasonable driving distance and offers tubing, hiking, horseback riding, and more. No trip to the area is complete without a trip to Pigeon Forge and family-friendly fun at Dollywood.
Place your reservation and prepare for a relaxing getaway you'll never forget!

Loved the breathtaking view and the peace & quiet. Also just minutes to the Smokies!
Everything was great including the view. I recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get up that dang hill. Thank god we had my truck.
Enjoyed the scenery being close to the mountains
We had a wonderful weekend at Rocky Top Jewel. We were blown away by the view, and the wrap around porch was an added bonus. We had plenty of sleeping space with the two large beds, bunk beds, and sofa bed. Rocky Top Estates is a beautiful community of cabins for families. We had our wedding in Cade’s Cove so all of our families stayed in separate cabins within walking distance of each other.
The cabin was very clean. We enjoyed the outside fireplace and the view was Amazing
This was our first cabin rental and could not be happier with the experience! The cabin is beautiful and is in a gorgeous area. The views are what really what makes this cabin shine! Our biggest issue was getting the loaded minivan up the hill to the cabin (its steep). We found the cabin to be in great condition, clean and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, glasses, mugs and cookware.
In regards to some previous reviews, I was concerned about the review that mentioned roaches in the kitchen and even called Vacasa ahead of time about it. I was told that they "had an exterminator out there and the problem should be remedied." I am happy to report that we saw absolutely no trace of roaches anywhere. Another reviewer mentioned the beds. If you have a sleep number at home and like it super soft, you may not like the beds. Yes, they are harder than what I have at home but after hiking several miles every day in the park, I still slept well. By the way, speaking of beds, it is not in the listing but the sofa in the lowest level family room is actually a fairly comfortable pull out.
In short, we loved the cabin and will definitely try to get this cabin again if we are back in the area.
Great cabin home with beautiful views! The house is great for a family. Plenty of room for the kids to play in the basement (with games provided) while the adults enjoy the fireplace upstairs! The house is well equipped with dishes, paper towels, linens, pillows and blankets that you might need. Location is great and a short drive to grocery store and National park entrance.
Thank you for a great weeklong stay in this cozy cabin close to town with a feel a million miles away!

I will start with the positive...
The cabin is beautiful and well laid out. It is in a great location which was easy to find and very easily accessible. The views are spectacular! The hot tub is awesome (but no privacy screen and there are neighbors on that side of the cabin with a clear view). There is a decent amount of privacy as far as the other cabins in the neighborhood go.
The cabin was not very clean when we arrived. The fireplace wasn't working on day 1 (they did fix it quickly, however). There is a cockroach infestation in the kitchen and we were fighting them the whole time. I also had to be EXTREMELY careful packing our things so we didn't transfer any back to our house. The mattresses are AWFUL...we stayed for 8 days so it really impacted our ability to get a good night's sleep. They are extremely hard, no cushion at all, and they have the dip in the middle so you are constantly rolling towards the middle. There is a significant amount of road noise from the road below the cabin.
Suggestions for the owners....
It would be nice if you provided at least enough wood for one fire outside. After driving 12 hours to get to the cabin, we would have liked to make a fire but weren't sure to get firewood yet and had to wait until the following day to find some. There should be instructions for using the TV. I am not great at that stuff so that created some frustration. Replace the mattresses. We stayed for a week and paid what was the equivalent of a month's rent for us, and sleeping was miserable. We both left pretty tired and with stiff backs. Mattresses should be a priority if you are renting out your property at this price. Make the investment.
We had an awesome vacation, but we definitely WOULD NOT return to this cabin in the future.
The exterminator has provided an additional treatment for the home, and we have advised the owner of the comments regarding the mattresses. We are sorry to see our guests did not get good sleep while staying with us.
We loved the house and will definitely return. Good location for us.
This cabin's location was wonderful for a peaceful, relaxing trip to the Smokies. Minutes from Townsend and the entrance to Cade's Cove. Also close to Wears Valley and Pigeon Forge. The cabin was very clean - both inside and the deck areas. The furniture was comfortable, including the beds. The view was the best we have had in our years of renting cabins in this area. We were able to watch the mountains change from shades of green to shades of green with yellow/orange/red added. I will certainly plan to stay here again in the future.
Most of the recommendation literature was for the Gatlinburg /Pigeon Forge area. We were staying on the Townsend side and could have used more info on the vendors in that area.
We were only there for the Cades Cove Loop Lope and the location was perfect. We had a perfect stay and weekend. The weather was warm the leaves were spectacular and the cabin was most comfortable, roomy and cozy at the same time. The cabin met all or our needs.
This was just a short trip for my wife and me. The cabin was fantastic and the surrounding area equal. I definitely would come back again! Thank you very much.
I stayed for a weekend for a little get away and the place was just amazing all around!

This cabin had a beautiful view of the mountains! It's in a quiet neighborhood, and the stars are so bright at nighttime. We enjoyed our stay here.
The cabin itself was great, and the view was beautiful. Having the hot tub available after running was extremely nice, however the cell reception (especially data) is very spotty in the Townsend area. If you don't care about internet connectivity this is a 5 star cabin, if you really want at least some internet connectivity I would rate it a 3.
I vacation in the Smokies every year and seems like there is always a disappointment with the cabins I've stayed in the last couple years with Moose Creek Crossing. Dirty hot tubs, appliances not working, cabin and grounds needing cleaned. When you spend $150 (plus hefty cleaning fees and taxes) a night you expect your cabin to be clean and functional. Totally disappointed this year especially when I was very specific about what needed to be checked and ready when I arrived. Rocky Top Jewel is a lovely cabin with a spectacular view but needs an oven and a clean and properly functioning hot tub. The only saving grace was the outdoor fireplace. Since it rained during our stay and got very cool it was a game changer for sure. Indoor fireplace didn't work, either! Disappointed this year so I'll be checking out other places to stay next year.
We stayed at Rocky Top Jewel and fell in love with it. The view is worth every penny. The only problem is that there is very little space for a dog to use the bathroom. Also my dog is older so she had a difficult time going up and down the hardwood stairs. Overall it was a fantastic place to stay.
The porch has one of the most stunning views of any of the cabins. It was nice to get away from the business of gatlinburg and pigeon forge to escape to the peacefulness of the mountains. It was easily accessible to anything you could want. The inside was gorgeous also!
Very nice cabin for a family vacation. The deck had a fabulous view of the Smokies. Bedrooms were spread out between three levels and each has a full bath which was great. Cabin is an easy drive to the national park and other tourist locations but allows you to retreat from those busy areas and enjoy the peace and quiet of the mountains.
The cabin was beautiful and the views were amazing. The cabin was perfect and met all our expectations. I did not like the steep, narrow, winding road leading up to the cabin, but that's to be expected in the mountains. I think I got several gray hairs on this trip.
Very nice property. Beautiful view. Very nice cabin.
I really enjoyed the beautiful view of the mountains!
Our family of 7 adults were very comfortable in this cabin! We spent most of our time on the deck enjoying the beautiful view. The hot tub was amazing. This cabin is located in a good spot not too far from attractions in pigeon Forge. Also not too far from Cades Cove which is a must see. Overall we were very pleased with the cabin and the setting . The only change they could benefit from is more seating in the living room. I would definitely recommend!
Stayed at Rocky Top last week for spring break and LOVED it. The view was simply beautiful and my kids loved the drive up each time. The inside had the "log cabin" feel and was plenty of room for our family of 6. Everything we needed was found in the kitchen, if not Townsend was a quick drive away. We loved going into Gatlinburg and Pigeon but it was so nice to get away of the "craziness" when we returned back to Rocky Top. The hot tub was an added bonus, especially after spending a full day in the Smokies climbing to both Laural Falls and Clingmans Dome. Achy muscles were feeling better for days after. Thanks for a wonderful stay. Would highly recommend to friends and family!!
Great view located close to smokies and cades cove. Great for our family of five.
The cabin was spacious, yet cozy. The owner's provided extra amenities to enhance the experience. The view was spectacular. My family will definitely return to this wonderful cabin.
