Nestled among the towering trees, this Big Bear Lake A-frame home provides the perfect base camp for outdoor enthusiasts looking to explore the beauty of the mountains. Whether it's winter or summer, you'll be surrounded by possibilities for fun!

Set in a quiet neighborhood just a mile-and-a-half from the Bear Mountain Ski Resort, and two miles from the pristine shores of Big Bear Lake, this home puts you right in the middle of the outdoor action. During the winter, we highly recommend using a 4x4 vehicle to access the home safely.

The floor-to-ceiling windows flood the A-frame home with an abundance of light, showcasing the open layout and casual ambiance. Pop in a DVD and sink into the soft couch to make it a movie night. If you forgot your favorite movie, simply log into your personal Netflix account and stream exactly what you want while the wood-burning Malm fireplace fills the home with cozy warmth.

Pop open a few local brews as you lounge on the colorful deck and take in the tree-lined views. Snap a couple photos, then connect to the WiFi to send the pictures to your friend stuck at home. Throw your fresh catch and some local produce on the gas grill to cook with a view.

if it's too cold to cook outside, the kitchen has everything you need to put together a quick dish for your group. Featuring an electric stove, full-size refrigerator, and a Keurig machine for fresh cups of morning coffee, keeping everyone fed will be a breeze. Enjoy your meal at the dining room table, and then head outside to watch the stars fill the sky.

This one-bedroom (plus loft), one-bathroom home will host up to four guests. Up the stairs in the loft bedroom, you'll find a soft double bed waiting to lull you into a restful night of sleep. In the bedroom there is a sofabed perfect for the kids or another couple.

Grab your snow gear and make the quick drive to the Bear Mountain Ski Resort to hit the fresh powder and carve out your personal trail down the slopes. Get the youngsters a few pointers at Ski School while you push your limits on the wide range of course options. Snowboarders will love the terrain park at the Snow Summit Ski Resort just two miles from your front door.

When the temperatures start to heat up, you can cool down with a rented stand-up paddleboard to explore the deep blue waters of Big Bear Lake. Take some time to cast a line or two and see if you catch one of the large local trout, or take a hike through the wildflower-laden trails to find the perfect picnic spot for you and your special someone. Afterward, hit up Big Bear Mountain Brewery to taste the seasonal ales and enjoy some upscale pub fare.

Pack your hiking gear, snow stuff, and camera for a fun-filled escape when you book your vacation to this Southern California home and revel in a stress-free stay.

The house was cute and there was enough furniture to stay comfortable. The large front window seemed great at first since it gave an open and bright feeling, but it ended up to be the down side of this property. There is not enough window covering on the front window so that it got too bright and too hot in the living room in the afternoon. The sun beat down on the entire living room space and there was no shady spot to sit and relax. If we decide to come back again, we will look for a different type of house where we can relax.

Overall stay was pleasant. The home is older and I believe it lacks insulation so during the day the house gets really warm- try keeping the fans on and windows open. At night it gets very cold!

The area was peaceful. The property was quaint. The few days we spent on the property was great. The fresh air n the lack of tourist traffic was wonderful.

Great unit at a great location! Will definitely plan on booking this on another trip back to the area. Short drive to all the "must go" spots in Big Bear Lake and surrounding areas, and is in a really quiet and scenic area just away from all the tourist areas. Having internet access available in this unit (albeit slow...) was really useful when you have mobile service providers with spotty signal coverage. Definitely planning another trip back with this unit at the top of the list of places to stay.

We were looking for a place to stay in Big Bear for the weekend, and we originally were going to book our usual place, but after browsing cabins we suddenly found this gem. This is a nice place to stay, We were very happy during our stay BUT the only thing is that the cabin around 10:00 am it gets a bit hot. We stayed in early March and I can't imagine how the cabin will get in the summer. There is AC but as you know it might take a while to get the place in a good cool temp.

The place is nice, comfy and great for a couple with kids, there is a small room near the restroom with a sofa/tv, if you have teenagers they will get bored easily. We have teens but they didn't come with us this time, otherwise I would have brought their game console.

Also the internet is sooooo sloowww, I figured that since the place is not occupied most of the time, that the owners have the basic internet speed, We were trying to stream a movie via netflix, but it was painfully slow even to browse a movie. So we rented couple of movies from Redbox, there is a kiosk on the Stater Bros. nearby.

- They have couple of board games. Feel free to bring your own.
- We brought eggs, bacon cereall and had a nice breakfast in the morning, and we ordered food to go and had dinner the following night..
- The bed upstairs is great for a couple, but if you have small kids that like to jump with you in the middle of the night, you might end up in the couch downstairs.

Overall we had a pleasant stay... oh forgot to mention that the view of the mountains from the bed when you are waking up are priceless!

We might come back again but not in the summer. ;)
