Lakefront mansion w/private pool, hot tub, pool table & lake access

Words do little to describe the beauty of this lakefront Grand Isle mansion. Enjoy a grand interior, a private pool, a hot tub, a billiards table, tennis court, and a postcard-perfect setting. This is the ideal spot for a large traveling family, or group retreat looking to stay in style.

Nestled on the banks of Grand Isle, right in the middle of Lake Champlain, you'll be six miles from North Hero. Set in the picturesque peace of Vermont's towering trees, you'll have everything you need for a fun-filled, relaxing stay.

As you step into this mansion built from Vermont Pink Marble, your attention will be drawn to the expansive layout, wood-beamed ceilings, and antique-style furnishings. You'll find plenty of places to lounge and chat in multiple sitting rooms of various configurations. Enjoy cable or a DVD movie on one of the multiple TVs, or tickle the ivories on one of the pianos.
(please note all the fireplaces are decorative).

Head down to the basement rec room for a game of pool on the billiards table while you listen to some music streaming over the free WiFi, or do some work in the office. Take a swim in the private pool and float the day away as the trees sway in the breeze. After doing a few laps hit the rejuvenating hot tub in the enclosed sunroom to ease your muscles and feel the stress from the daily grind melt away.

Take a fresh-squeezed glass of lemonade onto the patio and fire up the gas grill to whip up a dish from the fresh local produce from the farmers market. Pop open a bottle of crisp white wine and enjoy the secluded privacy as you dine al fresco, or mix up a sangria in the "secret" dry bar.

This home comes with not one, but two fully equipped kitchens! The main-floor kitchen (with a decorative antique stovetop) offers plenty of counter space, plus two functional stove top/oven combos so you can create a feast with ease. Upstairs on the third floor is another kitchen with all the major appliances. Enjoy your meal at the elegant table in the formal dining room, out in the breakfast nook at the farm-style table, or make it casual at the eat-in kitchen table on the main floor.

When it's finally time to turn in, this home will easily let up to 12 guests in seven bedrooms. Four bedrooms are upstairs: the master bedroom with a king-size bed and a private sitting area, a bedroom with a queen, then, in the "servants quarters", one bedroom with two twins, one bedroom with a double bed. With four full bathrooms and two half bathrooms, everyone will be able to spread out and enjoy some privacy.

You won't have to leave the property to experience the full effects of relaxation that come with this home. Stroll to the lake shore and enjoy your morning cup of coffee as the waves gently lap against the rocks. Paddle out with a kayak to explore the shoreline, or get out into the middle of the lake to fish for the big ones waiting below.

If you're looking for an opulent retreat that boasts amenities that will please every person in your party, treat yourself to a luxurious lakefront Vermont escape with everything you need for a once-in-a-lifetime vacation.

Old stone home from the 1910's, very spacious and appointed in period furniture (some a bit weathered). Updated kitchen and some of the bedrooms and baths. Sprawling floor plan and lots of green lawn all around. Very relaxing. Some of the rooms musty/moldy so be careful if allergies or asthma.

Enjiyed every minute of the time at this place. Although some things couldve been imrpoved, such as outdoor lighting almost none at night, indoor lighting is pretty dark and some bathrooms do not have shower heads

What didn't we love?! This house is so beautiful and so well appointed with incredibly maintained period furniture. Our 10 people had so much space for quiet time, but still tended to spend time together enjoying the lake breeze on the veranda. We never had to leave the house since we had everything we needed to prepare beautiful meals and with the pool and lake right there. Our kids had a blast fishing off of the pier. Lake Champlain has several interesting species and kept the kids busy reeling them in! The house, property and everything about this rental were absolutely perfect!

How did we like the house? We loved it. What did we think of the house? We loved it. Grand Isle is beautiful to begin with and the “Mansion” was just perfect. We had so many rooms and so much space we were never tripping over each other. The period and older furnishings made for a wonderful ambiance. Our millennials just knew it was haunted.

We were 5 minutes from the Marina and our boat....... and the front Veranda was to die for! We had man a great game of Categories while out there sipping cocktails. The private pool got lots of use, as did the Pub room and its huge table that could accommodate all of us for board games. A pool table in the basement was another added plus.

Lucky Luke (the cat) and Mike the caretaker are terrific Grand Isle Ambassadors. Get the idea we liked it? WE DID!!

This is the most amazing property I have ever rented. It is like having your own private resort, that has the best of the old world and new. It is perfect for up to 14 people and is so large that you can easily find a quiet spot to get away from the others. The views of the lake, the pool and the size of the land makes for a very secluded getaway.

Awesome house for a group of families. Great pool, hot tub, and lake front.
