I stayed here with 2 friends for a 50th birthday/winery trip. It was nice and clean and close to Main Street. We loved the location, the size and having the kitchen. We didn't love the outside shower. It was a bit chilly, being October and a colder/rainy weekend. We would have liked the option of an indoor shower as well.
Beautiful little cottage in a great location.
We Loved Everything about the Friday Haus! It was beautifully decorated, and the furnishings were wonderful antiques. It was large and spotless. We loved the touch of the fresh flowers. It was stocked with all amenities of home. Absolutely loved the outside shower! The only thing it is missing is a bench or rocker for the front porch. We plan to rent this house again next year. It was very close to town and all the shops. Quiet neighborhood.
Stayed here for a girls getaway and it was perfect. The house was stocked with towels and toiletries. We all LOVED the outdoor shower and the location was excellent. We loved being able to make a pot of coffee i. the morning too. Would definitely rent again.
Loved it. Great location. Quaint. Roomy. Lovely furnishings. Comfortable beds. Clean. My only suggestion would be to add non slip strips to the tub.
The house the house was very beautiful and comfortable it was close to all of downtown Fredericksburg would recommend it to anyone. Next time I go to Fredericksburg I will stay at the Friday house
Great time at this place. Very cozy and comfortable stay. Love the simplicity here, along with the close access to the winery's downtown.
Loved this place! Outdoor shower was a nice touch!
The Friday Haus was the perfect place to stay on our weekend getaway to Fredericksburg. Beds were comfortable, the space was spotless, the outdoor shower was refreshing... it was all terrific. We also appreciated little touches like the fresh flowers by the bedside, ice in a bucket chilling in the freezer, and new soaps in the shower area...we felt taken care of without having seen a single person. My family can't wait to come back.
This house was adorable! It was a great location, was very well set up, the décor was perfect and we even loved the outdoor shower. As much as I love the décor in the living room, the couch and chairs weren't conducive to a movie night...antiques make it hard to get comfortable, but it does compliment the décor of the house. Regardless, we will be back for sure!
This littlecabin is beautifully decorated! There was plenty of room for our family of four, including 2 teenagers. The beds were very comfortable. There were plenty of linens and kitchen basics. The location was so close to Main Street.
My wife and 2 teenage grandsons stayed in the Friday Haus for 5 nights. It's beautifully done and had everything we needed. I was a little disappointed that the tank on the gas grill was empty but we were able to find a place to fill it up. Also, there is no paved path to the outdoor shower, be prepared to wear shoes to get back to the house with clean feet.
I would highly recommend this house and we will be staying there again in the future!
Loved the old feel with modern convenience.
Being so close to everything..... yet in another world...perfet get away!
Absolutely gorgeous and beautifully maintained. Loads of character and hill country charm!
This is a unique place. Nice two bedrooms. Expect it to be drafty with the old windows. Within walking distance to Main Stree stores. Quiet area across from a Christian school.
The place is nice and cozy; however, my daughters visited with us and there was not enough sitting area to watch a movie together in the living room. We would have loved a fireplace in the living room as the temperature dropped to the teens and the front part of the house was freezing even with the central heater on. Also, my husband was too big (not fat, lol) to fit in the tub. :(
We are sorry to see there were some disappointments with the house and hope the stay was still enjoyable.
We enjoyed the historical architect, extreme cleanliness, roominess, ease of getting keys & parking, & decorated so lovely for Christmas including beautiful tree in living room.
Unfortunately, we were unable to enjoy our stay because we had a family tragedy occur just prior to departing for our trip and subsequently we lost out on our rental fee of $593.26
We are sorry to see this guest was unable to make their reservation. We do provide Trip Protection for our guests upon booking the home, and guests are always welcome to call us regarding these circumstances. Thanks!
Very cozy and great location. Definitely would stay there again.
Such a cute piece of history to stay in! The house was absolutely adorable and in great such a great location. We've visited Fredericksburg many times, but staying at the Friday Haus made if feel like a totally new and different experience.
Beautiful little cottage! Loved the outdoor shower!!!
Great location and a lovely change from hotels during our road trip.
While staying in this home, you can relive history. The home has so much character, walk the property as it tells a story. It is walking distance to the town shops. Make sure and take the drive to the bat caves in Mason at watch them in the evening. It is truly amazing, millions of bats!!
Over all the house is comfortable with very nice beds. The kitchen had mostly everything needed to cook if that is the plan. It is close to the shops on Main Street. The off street parking is great. I recommend staying here when in Fredericksburg.
This would be a great place to stay for Christmas vacation.
Such a charming place to stay! I loved it. The wood floors, old construction, and simple decor almost bring you back in time. Everything was very clean private feeling. I would 100% stay here again. That being said there were a few issues that should be addressed and some that would just make things more convenient. The outside had downed branches left everywhere that we had to pick up so we wouldn't trip and the shrubbery was overgrown over the walkways. There were 2 keys in 2 lock boxes on two different doors, but they only unlocked the front door. We wish they worked on the side door, because that would have been easier coming and going and loading the car that way than going around to the front. The overall seating situation wasn't very comfortable for a family of 4. My husband would have liked a more comfy couch, larger tv, and tv in the other room/s. The beautiful claw foot tub was peeling off and it was the only indoor bathing area (stand up shower is outside), so no one wanted to bath in it. It was a bit awkward to shower outside and go through the muddy areas to get back to the house. The yard was great and would have been perfect for a fire pit. Overall these were minor inconveniences to us. We still enjoyed staying here!
We are disappointed to see this guest was not fully satisfied with their stay. The owner will be reaching out to their lawn care provider to follow-up with them regarding the state of the yard. The property manager inspected the tub and found it is need of repair; she will begin investigating options right away. There are stepping stones leading from the outdoor shower to the home for guests to step on after rinsing off. Thank you!
Perfect location and cool place to stay
We enjoyed staying in this quaint historic home. Beautiful furnishings. Only a few housekeeping changes need to be made for this to be a perfect stay!
Charming little house great for solo, couple, or up to 4. Only one bathroom, though!
Close to downtown, but enough away to not be in the middle of things.
Everything you need is pretty much provided, and they are a phone call away. Great memories!
