Dog-friendly home w/ SHARC passes - shared pools, hot tub, sports courts
This is a classic Meadow House vacation home in Sunriver, a family-friendly resort community that boasts world-class golf courses, hiking and biking trails, and year-round activities. 17 Meadow House is the lower level of a duplex in the highly sought after Meadows area near golf courses, the SHARC aquatic center, and the fun-filled Village. Having had only one owner since it was built, this home has been very well maintained. Cozy and all on one level, it's the perfect place for a family or group of friends to get away from it all and have the ultimate Sunriver adventure!
The exterior boasts two private decks, one enclosed for privacy and one that views a lovely green area out the back. Spend lazy summer days out on the deck, just sitting back, relaxing, and enjoying the peace and quiet. Inside, it's just as serene, with vaulted wood ceilings, a large wood-burning fireplace, and comfortable furnishings that will thoroughly charm you and your group. Enjoy time with family and friends after an action-filled day of golfing, floating the river, or having fun at SHARC.
There's a large flatscreen TV with cable and a DVD player in the living room for movie nights and plenty of room for everyone to find their favorite spot. On chilly high desert evenings, a favorite activity may well be just hanging out together in front of a toasty fire, playing board games and talking about the day's adventures.
A full kitchen has everything needed to make meals and snacks. Whether it's coffee with biscuits and gravy in the morning or a giant spinach salad for a light dinner, you'll have it all covered. On a nice evening, you can even opt to cook outdoors on the gas grill. The home offers multiple dining areas so you can choose to dine indoors or al fresco out on the deck.
There are two large bedrooms - one has a queen sized bed, flat screen TV, comfy reclining chair, and a door out to a deck. The second bedroom has two twin beds and large floor to ceiling windows for a nice view of the surrounding greenery. There is also a sleeper sofa in the main room, which allows up to six people plenty of room to stretch out and relax. This home is also dog friendly (though a nightly fee per dog and a minimum fee per stay will apply) so you don't need to leave your furry friends behind!
With extra wide hallways, and two easily accessible full bathrooms, this home is also perfect for any individuals who just aren't as mobile as they used to be, or for little ones that haven't learned about stairs yet. There's also has a laundry room with a full sized washer and dryer for the convenience of always having clean clothes while on vacation!
Sunriver has over 33 miles of paved bike trails and plenty of shopping and dining options in the charming Village at Sunriver, so there's always something to do right outside your front door. If you're looking for even more outdoor fun, SHARC is only a 10 minute walk away. Sunriver's newest attraction, this facility has swimming pools, a lazy river, and hot tubs. Best of all, this home comes with six unlimited use SHARC passes, so you'll be able to enjoy it all as often as you want. In winter, Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort is less than a 30 minute drive away!
For a fun day trip any time of year, head to Bend, also only a 30 minute drive from Sunriver. Spend the afternoon browsing through galleries on Wall and Bond streets, walking around Drake Park, and then stopping at Deschutes Brewery Public House for pints of Mirror Pond Pale Ale and boar meatloaf sandwiches before returning home to your comfortable Meadows home.
This Sunriver getaway has it all - an exceptional location, great value, and a cozy, well-maintained atmosphere. You will definitely enjoy your time at 17 Meadow House!

17 Meadow House was close to everything I needed in Sunriver. The place was clean and quiet. Passes to SHARC were part of the package. I was quite satisfied with my stay.
Really great location located close to SHARC, Villiage, Lodge, Marina, and Nature Center. Nice commons area. Condo is clean and accurate to the posted photos. Worked out great for our family of four.
My sister-in-law who did serious cooking said the kitchen is well appointed. Everyone else was very comfortable.
Clean and comfortable. Let us bring our dog.
VACASA really goes out of their way to make you feel at home without intruding on your vacation. This property was more spacious than expected. Perfect walking distance to shops and pool.
The condo location is perfect. Near the village, near SHARC, on the bike path. However, this condo is very dated, and in very poor condition. Furniture is old, carpet is worn out and is a tripping hazard with large visible rolls and bumps. Kitchen is not well stocked, with a joke for pantry storage. With a few updates, this condo could shine, but unfortunately, the current condition would prevent me from renting again.
Whether it is summer bicycling or winter skiing or just a place to stay while visiting the sights of central Oregon or using two golf courses or boating on the river, Sunriver seems convenient and full of amenities. Those with airplanes seem to be able to taxi to their doors, but the rest of us common folk do nicely as well. We did not have time to check out the nature center and the observatory. There are charges, but not exorbitant ones. Shops and restauranrts are varied and meet most needs.
The property itself was satisfactory. Vacasa and it's relationship with VRBO are the reasons I would never stay here again. The rate advertised was ~$240 per night stay and the pet fee was reasonable, however, the cleaning fee was outrageous given the level of cleanliness of the home when we arrived (stains on the carpet) and the length of stay and between that, the 25% taxes charged per night and not only a booking fee but a service fee as well equated to more double the nightly rate quoted per night overall. Had I had any other option I would not have chosen nor will I ever chose to reserve with Vacasa or VRBO ever again. The false advertising and exorbitant amount of additional charges make the stay not worth it at all.
Great location and access to outdoor space, however the property is in need of a deep clean. The condo was tidy, but there were cobwebs, dust and spiders. The couches and large lazy boy chairs have seen better days, and the carpet is old, stained and dated. The clothes dryer is broken. It runs for a few minutes then turns off... this was very inconvenient with two children under the age of 3. Fortunately we didn't spend much time indoors. If this condo gets some updated furniture and a thorough cleaning we would stay again solely because of the location. Otherwise, we will try to find somewhere else that is more comfortable.
The dryer has been fixed by a technician, the carpets are scheduled to be cleaned, and the home will be deep cleaned this fall. We have also recommended to the owner that they update the furniture. We apologize for any inconveniences or disappointments this guest experienced.
This is not a posh abode...but we aren't a family who cares if we can bring our dog, the place is clean and the price is right. We had two teenage boys, grandma, a set of parents, and a mellow labrador. Grandma got the nice master suite, the boys got the twin beds and the folks got the hide-a-bed in the living room. The layout worked perfectly. In the morning we had breakfast and coffee on the rickety porch overlooking the grassy commons and in the afternoon grandma read her books in the shade on the private patio nearest the parking area. The HVAC system in the condo kept it comfortable at all times. The condo provided towels to be used at the SHARC which was a nice perk.
The Village and the SHARC are within walking distance for a fairly spry 82 yo and an easy bike for anyone younger. The location was awesome!
Most everything in the condo is outdated (clean) but works. There are a shortage of forks and spoons and dinner plates if you don't want to run a load of dishes every meal.
We had the pleasure of seeing an owl in the trees on the grassy commons side of the condo as well as watching bird shenanigans in the trees.
Overall, it was a good deal. The location was perfect and the lodging adequate. Perfect for us and our family.
We had a wonderful experience with Vacasa! All information about our reservation was communicated clearly and with great detail. We checked in and out with ease :-)
I have been leasing in Sunriver for decades and this is my least satisfactory experience. All of the issues mentioned by other reviews (wish I had read more of them) from as song as 9 months ago are still unaddressed (for example, the recliner is still broken, decks are still pretty sketchy.) I could add half a dozen of my own- here's just one… the heat pump makes a loud noise like a pressure washer or generator- you will have to turn the TV up when it kicks on. The description says "A full kitchen has everything needed to make meals.." If you plan on actually preparing meals there, bring your own kitchen knives, dinner plates, and serving spoons. The lack of any local management - Vacassa's nearest office is in Portland- is obvious. Do business with a property management company that has a presence in Sunriver.
We are very sorry that some prior issues appear delayed in being addressed. The property manager is in the process of solving several items as quickly as possible. The carpets have been professionally cleaned. The heat pump has been looked at and it's true the noise from it is noticeable. The kitchen supplies are well stocked and any missing utensils will be added. The recliner is being diagnosed and a decision will be made soon. A contractor is looking at the deck and will submit a quote in the very near future. Thank you.
Comfortable, close to main attractions, clean, quiet

Always a pleasure to visit Sunriver and Vacasa made the visit very easy. We will use your service again. Thanks.
This is an old unit and many of furnishings are very old too. This is a spacious unit in a good location and at a good price but don't expect luxury. The recliner would not recline, the lounge chair has virtually no springs left, and you have to kneel down to wash your hair because the shower heads are so low. On the other hand, the beds were comfortable, the bathrooms are fairly large, and the kitchen was fully furnished.
We loved the location and speed to golf courses
This property is incredibly outdated and in need of several repairs. The photos provided are not reflective of the current condition. There are weeds growing out of the decks which feel like they are going to collapse when you walk on them. The mattresses feel like the springs are popping through. The furniture is dirty and looks like it all came from a garage sale. The refrigerator only works if you turn it up to the maximum setting and then it freezes the food you store in the back. There are absolutely no amenities--no salt, pepper, foil, hair dryer--nothing! We have stayed in several homes in Sunriver and never experienced anything like this. Clearly these owners have not been by to visit in years.
We apologize for the disappointments this guest experienced. The Property Manager will take care of the weeks and inspect the fridge. We do not supply spices or tin foil and apologize for any inconvenience this caused our guests.
Great price point and location but underwhelmed by quality of the bedding and kitchen utensils.
the furnishings could use an update, most importantly the twin beds were very uncomfortable. if a good nights sleep is important for you the beds will not provide it. I really liked the condo other then this problem.
great lay out, great location, overall good experience!
We had a wonderful time!! This was a mini family ski vacation. After skiing we played board games and watched a little TV. Location was great. We never used the SHARC passes, not enough hours in the day. Booking online was very easy.
We loved this place. A little dated, but big, comfortable, and fully equipped for our family and pet. We went skiing, snowshoeing, walked to the village (about 1/2 mile) and overall had a great time. gas fireplace, big TV, all good.

Vacasa is very efficient and easy to work with. All arrangements made online and when you arrive you just go directly to your rental and the keys are in a lockbox near the front door. Easy! Everything was as advertised....hard to pick a bad location in SunRiver! We will consider using Vacasa again next year!
We loved this location, easy access to lovely walks and scenery, also the greater Sun River area and lava lands such a treat. The house was completely adequate but could use a face lift, a bit dark and the furniture while perfectly functional is very dated and hard on the visuals.
We loved our time at this place! It was so roomy and comfortable! We loved the views out all the windows and how peaceful it was. In spite of the minor maintenance issues that I'm sure will be quickly remedied, we were so happy there and will definitely go back!
There was a musty smell upon entering at first. The furniture was OK, but could use an upgrade. Pet friendly so there are always going to be some stains or smells. Overall not a bad stay. There fees almost doubled the price though.
We will take care of the musty smell and take your other comments under advisement as we are continually seeking ways to improve our properties and experiences for our guests. Thank you for choosing Vacasa!
Spacious, and clean this two bedroom, two bathroom condo is close to everything Sunriver has to offer. Quiet street close to paths and the meadow.
Nice experience and Sunriver is great. The place was spacious and clean. Bed in master was not very comfortable. Good pet accommodations.
We really enjoyed our stay at 17 Meadow House. The location simply cannot be beat - centrally located within easy walking distance of the Village and the SHARC, and great views to Mt. Bachelor across the meadow are only a few minutes away as well. The bikes in storage were an unexpected plus, though there was only one suitable for an adult.
The beds were comfortable for our family of five, and there is tons of space. The kitchen is smaller but worked well for us. There is lots of comfy seating and we watched several movies with the DVD player and new LCD TV.
A few things could use updating or fixing but everything was very clean. I loved having a ground floor unit all on one level.
We thought the location was perfect--close to the village while still being far enough that it was very quiet. The back patio was well suited for us to relax and drink coffee on in the mornings (it opens up to a large open grassy area). The furnishings inside were a bit outdated but it didn't really bother us because they were still quite comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed and we didn't have any problems with appliances or anything else. A few areas of the house could use a bit more light, but there are plenty of large windows to allow some natural light to come in through the trees.
Thank you for your review. This home has a great location and is very quiet. We look forward to seeing you again and are very pleased that you had a good time.
