Three cabins w/ lake views, firepit - walk to Sebago Lake Basin beach & moorings

Reconnect with your friends, family, and loved ones at this charming Windham property, a comfortable and convenient summer escape with three separate cabins, a gorgeous deck that overlooks Sebago Lake Basin, and easy access to a neighborhood beach, moorings, and a boat launch on the lakeshore.

Perfectly situated near the heart of North Windham, these cozy cabins sit about 150 feet from the eastern banks of Sebago Lake Basin. Whether you're beach-goers, boaters, or anglers, you'll love being only one mile from Hannaford Supermarket, a Walmart Supercenter, Dunkin Donuts, and a variety of restaurants and amusements, and just 17 miles north of downtown Portland.

You'll find three separate cottages on this summer compound - a main cabin, a guest house, and a bunk house that create a fun-filled getaway for large families and groups of friends. The bunk house was built in 2012, while the main cabin and the guest house were outfitted with new roofs, decks, windows, and carpets shortly thereafter.

Your vacation begins in the main cabin, where you'll find a comfortable living room with hardwood floors, a futon, and a pair of armchairs to welcome you home. Choose a novel to read, scroll through the cable offerings on the flatscreen TV, or use the WiFi to keep in touch with friends and family back home.

Begin each morning on a high note, as you use the full kitchen and standard appliances to prepare breakfast feasts of blueberry pancakes and scrambled eggs. Swing by Dunkin Donuts in town and grab a few sweet treats, which you can share at the patio table on the private tree-lined deck.

Spend sparkling summer days in the great outdoors, walking to the sand beach on Sebago Lake Basin in a matter of minutes. Use the boat launch and moorings to kayak and canoe, watch your children splash in the buoyed swim area, and bask in the sun all day from this west-facing point. The neighborhood has even been treated for mosquitoes to ensure your outdoor comfort.

When you've had your fill of swimming, boating, and fishing, head back to the cabins to lounge on the lake-facing deck. Light the gas grill for a barbecue dinner, play a board game or two at the patio table, and watch the beautiful sunset over Sebago Lake Basin. As the stars begin to shine, you can move down to the private outdoor firepit for an evening of S'mores and ghost stories.

With a total of five bedrooms and three full bathrooms, these cabins will accommodate a total of 10 guests. The main cabin features a master bedroom with a queen-size bed, a kids' bedroom with a twin-over-full bunk bed (with a top bunk capacity of 200 pounds), and two full-size futons in the sunroom and the living room. The full bathroom is snug, but it offers a stall shower.

The guest house is a studio-style space, with a living area that doubles as sleeping quarters with a full-size futon and a full-size sleeper sofa. You'll find a bathroom with a shower here, as well as a second kitchen for afternoon and midnight snacks. The bunk house is one large room with two twin stand-alone beds and one set of bunk beds with full-size mattresses (please note that none of the bathrooms on the property have bathtubs).

Have a larger group? New Marblehead Lodge, right next door, can also be rented.

Additional amenities include several flatscreen TVs with cable service for your evening entertainment. A private washer and dryer are also provided, ensuring that your clothes, bathing suits, and beach towels are always clean and sand-free.

A beloved summer destination for decades, Sebago Lake Basin is the perfect place to spend quality time with your family in the wondrous outdoors. Enroll your kids in the Center Day Camp, a quintessential Maine experience run by the Jewish Community Alliance of Southern Maine that offers swimming, hiking, theater, arts and crafts, and much more.

Treat your children to a day of water slides, splash pads, and other aquatic features at Seacoast Adventure only two miles north, or retreat into nature at Sebago Lake State Park 14 miles north. And if the rain moves in for the day, fear not - you'll be just one mile down the road from Smitty's Cinema.

Come and experience the summer wonders of Maine - a stay at these Windham cottages will become an annual tradition for years to come!

We stayed over a long weekend for a wedding with a group of other couples. There were three cabins, and they all had a beautiful Maine feel!

The property was okay but not as nice as what we should have been able to get for the money.
