Spacious, clean and tidy but the décor and finish a bit tired.

The house is very cozy and ample. You can find all you can expect in your own house.

We had a blast staying at the Quiet Forest Getaway. Beautiful location, with a deck suspended in the trees, and a fireplace to keep you warm on chilly evenings. Fun and easy!

When renting during winter, it is important for someone from Vacasa to ensure that the property is atleast moderately habitable when guests arrive. In our case, the house was at 35 degrees, only a couple of degrees higher than outside. It took the best part of our first night to warm up the house and we spent the entire night freezing. We had little kids and seniors and overall it was a miserable first night. It could have been avoided with just a little thoughtfulness or professionalism on the part of Vacasa in ensuring that the heater was on a few hours before guests were slated to arrive.

The home had a difficult access into the property. It was impossible to see the entry driveway at night. When we went back to Pine Mountain lake entrance, the security folks were unhelpful. They had no advice beyond for us to go back and look. In the end it was essentially by accident that we found the driveway. A couple of pictures or special instructions on how to get to the property (especially at night) will help

The house itself was great. It was clean, quiet, and well-maintained. We came specifically for Yosemite and drove over an hour each day to get into the heart of the park. If you don't mind driving that far or are in Groveland for other interests, this house is a great choice.

Overall the property was adequate for the money (considering access to Yosemite). The property had dated furniture with old bath salts and body scrubs leftover in bathrooms. Carpet stains in multiple locations and had a musty smell (it aired out a bit when we opened the windows and let in some fresh air). They could do a lot to help with a deep cleaning and wipe down of the home. There was no toilet paper or kitchen trash bags available which was a little aggravating. There was no place to put the outside trash cans. When we arrived, it was apparent that animals had gotten into the trash from previous guests (all over the property). We cleaned it up several times during our stay because we were unable to get any response from the local staff to address issues that arose. We called everyday, sometimes 2x a day. The national company representative responded but was unable to have anyone help out until the day before we left. Once the local staff did respond, they were unapologetic about the delay, but instead reasoned with us that she had been off for several days (on vacation) and no one was there to cover for her and respond to calls. Because of this, we had to purchase basic materials which should have been provided (toilet paper and trash bags), but most aggravating was the fact that they wouldn't come and get the outside trash cans. Animals kept getting into them each night. The only safe place to keep them was inside the house, which was impractical due to the smell. The house was basically clean. Some areas such as the tops of some shelves and other corners were dusty and had cob/spider webs. The outside deck area could also have been been blown off (lots of webs on furniture and railings). Another issue was that the entrance (both the driveway and pathway leading to the front door) was very steep. Not an issue for everyone, but we were traveling with elderly parents who had difficulty making the climb. This is NOT and ADA compliant home which could have been noted in the description. We probably won't stay here again as there are probably better options in this area due to the number of rentals.

We came around 4:30 with 2 kids who were super tired after 4 hours of driving. We tried to unlock the lockbox but we could not. Before our trip I received 2 emails with lock box code, one of theml was sent a few hours before our arrival. This area has no cell phone coverage at all except Verizon. Luckily we had Verizon on the iPad so would be able to call vacasa customer support service. However, they had the same info that I received in my email. We drove to the local vacasa office and lady said that she forgot to update the system with new lockbox code. I don't want to imagine if we had come after office hours with 2 hungry and tired kids what would have happened.
Manager response:
We apologize for the oversight with the lockbox code and appreciate this guest's patience in the matter.

In the house description it should be mentioned that the location of the house is out off the Pine Mountain Lake community, and the bathroom were not clean enough.
Manager response:
We apologize if there were any housekeeping oversights in the bathroom. Guests can call us if a clean is sub-par so that we can rectify the matter. Thank you!

The location is great, the house is spacious and nicely decorated, and it is well equipped. Parking however is challenging because of the way is curved

This was a great place to stay and was an easy drive to the park. Comfortable beds, pretty property. Would definitely stay again.

I love this place and love Vacasa. I will definitely come back this place again. The house we stayed is not inside the gate of the Pine Mountain Community so we don't need to pay for all of the vehicles. Just pay for 1 since we want to take the kids to play at the lake. Perfect view and good for family vacation. Love the no Wi-fi thing so everybody just talking to each other. We definitely come back next year.

Looking up through the trees from the patio was my favorite part. We stocked home. The sports memorabilia in the downstairs bedroom is pretty cool.

You don't need anything to bring with you, almost every thing you need is there.
