Very quiet setting. Cabin was clean inside. Outside lawn area needed some help. Our dog loved the fenced yard!
First time in the area and enjoyed it. Nice restaurants and friendly people.

Great location, dog friendly, walking distance to villlage

We had a great time staying at the crow's nest over the New Year's holiday! Our dog and kids loved the fenced yard and fireplace, the beds were large and comfortable, and the main living space very cozy, though the bedrooms were a bit chilly at night. Ensuite bathroom in the master a plus! Only two things we would change - the water pressure in the master was really low, probably just needed a fix. Also, more kitchen pots and pans would be helpful, especially for long wintery weeks of being cozy indoors. Thanks for a lovely stay, we'll be back!

We had a quick getaway from San Diego, and loved the look of this cabin--a little boho and cozy. The location is excellent. The owner's fees are steep, and since we were only staying one night, it made our stay expensive. Also, would have liked a 3pm check in. We requested twice, but did not hear back with a response.
We are glad you enjoyed your time at the cabin. We send guests an email no later than 9am the day of their check in if an earlier check in is available. The information can also be found in the online Trip Portal and we are sorry that this wasn't made clearer. We hope to host you again for a longer stay!

This place is very charming and super close to the downtown and a lot of hiking trails. And our pup loved being able to run around in the fenced yard.
Robert T.Dec 2019
well maintained cabin with all the nice little details to make it feel like a serene mountain stay plus and easy access to town. we will be back!

Everything was great. Loved the house. If I had to say something negative, it would be the shower water pressure is lacking.
Fusun T.Oct 2019
15 min walking distance to the village. Awesome porch & frontyard. Very peaceful atmosphere! Very roomy inside, comfortably sleeps 6. No dishwasher but I didn’t mind.
Karen K.Oct 2019
The beds are comfy, the baths clean, plenty of towels. Inside is darker than photo. Well maintained. Needs new sofabed sofa ... very uncomfortable to sit on and not a fan of ‘shaggy’ hair throws ... seem dusty. Appliances are great. Kitchen small and dated ... very use-able. Need dish rack as no dishwasher. Wonderful deck and hot tub! Loved the fenced-in yard. Overall ... not bad!
Josh C.Oct 2019
The hot tub was lovely. The home and decor were great. We had relaxing, peaceful stay.

Thank you to the owners for allowing us as guests. Such a great property! We really enjoyed the wonderful comforts and amenities. Very quiet neighborhood, spacious deck with afternoon sun, fenced in yard and the dog loved it. Also, plenty of hiking options nearby, and Idyllwild town is walking distance. Can't wait to come back.

An amazingly quiet and well stocked home. Every room had a TV with streaming services. Kitchen was immaculate. And hot tub was just what we needed to relax
Stephanie R.Aug 2019
This home was well appointed with all the amenities and extremely comfortable. The lot was private and beautifully landscaped as well. We will definitely be repeat visitors.

It's everything the pictures present. a wonderful place to decompress and we look forward to using it a lot more.
Sara H.Jul 2019
We loved the location of this cabin. It was a very quiet and restful place. We also could walk into town and enjoy shopping or dining or both! It was a perfect couple get away for us.
Mindy T.Jun 2019
We had a wonderful time at this great little house & enjoyed every minute of it! The house was just as nice as the pictures & was very clean & well stocked & we felt right at home there. The neighborhood was so quiet & peaceful & it was wonderful sitting out on the deck & enjoying the beautiful surroundings. I called Vacasa twice with questions & both times got the same great guy who was extremely nice & helpful. We will definitely be back to rent this great little place in the future. The only suggestion is about the Nest thermostat & needing detailed directions for it. It was mid 70's /low 80's temps so we didn't need the heat on, even at night. I set the temp to 60 degrees & had to keep re setting it & later that evening it cranked up to 79 degrees while we were sleeping & was very hot so I got up & turned the heat back down to 60 & then very early morning it kicked back up again & I had to get up again & turn it down again! I could then see it's pre programmed to go to these higher heat settings at designated times (no matter what I set it at) & I had no idea how to change that & just have it stay on the temp I wanted. So I turned it off until we were ready to check out. Thanks for sharing this great place with us. :)

Great location. Very quaint and comfortable. Bedrooms and bathrooms very spacious. Great for 5-6 people.
Anna M.Apr 2019
The Crows nest is close enough to walk to town and grab a bite to eat and shop. So peaceful and quiet, just a slice of heaven. Very comfortable beds, up to date refrigerator, coffee maker and washer and dryer. If we had question called and got a response immediately. I would recommend to anyone who wants to relax in a serene, cozy charming cottage.
Devin L.Mar 2019
We loved our stay. Home is cozy and warm, close to town and close to hiking areas. Fireplace and spa were a plus, and we took full advantage of both. Highly recommended!!
Colin and Laurie W.Feb 2019
Fireplace, hot tub, kitchen, quietness, spacious, just right.
Nicole S.Dec 2018
The house is wonderful--great decor, comfy furniture and all the amenities you could ask for! Just a shout from the town, and at the same time feels secluded and in nature. The hot tub was great, the kitchen was well-appointed, and the place had plenty of light (natural and lamps). Great Roku setup for watching Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, etc., as well as cable. While there are many interesting restaurants in town, we cooked and enjoyed the pleasures of the house all week--we definitely will be back! PS--excellent washer/dryer too!
William S.Dec 2018
This was a very nice clean single level cabin. It is on a good sized lot where you don't feel crowded with neighbors and fenced so great for pets. Bed was super comfortable and it was so quiet. Loved taking walks in the tall pines.

We absolutely loved this place. Clean, comfy, up to date interior. The kitchen has all the necessary items to cook breakfast and dinners. The fenced in yard is perfect for privacy and also allows dog owners to let their fur babies run around without worry. The yard is nice to sit and enjoy the surroundings, drink your cup of coffee in the mornings and have a nice glass of wine in the afternoon. The jacuzzi is an additional bonus. We will be back. Felt like home. Thank you Crows Nest! ❤

We had an awesome time here with our two kids and dog. It was quiet, peaceful, and the layout of the home felt roomy. Plenty of towels, toilet paper, paper towels, and dish soap. Even on a very hot day in idyllwild the cabin stayed cool.
Susan K.Jun 2018
My friend and I needed a place to stay while we attended a week long art class in Idyllwild. The Criw’s Next was remote yet just half a mile from town. The bedrooms were lovely, the beds comfortable and having two bathrooms was a plus. The TV had plenty of station options, the outside had tables and chairs to enjoy the evening air. My only suggestion is that the kitchen could be better stocked with some essential supplies such as aluminum foil, handiwrap, olive oil, condiments, etc. In other homes I have stayed in, the kitchens were well stocked and had welcome books to explain how things worked, where the nearest bakery, coffee shop, etc. are located and a guest log with feedback, comments from other guests.
Enjoyed our week!!!
Bryn N.Jun 2018
Truly a relaxing location. We enjoyed coffee in the morning and afternoons spent reading on the deck, while hummingbirds and butterflies danced among the blossoming lilac bushes. What a treat to find the cabin very well maintained and a fully equipped kitchen. The close proximity to hiking trails and downtown Idywilld made for a wonderful vacation.
Helen H.May 2018
For 2 or 3 and a dog, it is perfect and in the perfect place.
Meredith L.May 2018
The house was very well appointed and the location was perfect. Beautiful views from the deck of all the wonderful trees in the area. Close to town. Comfortable beds and sitting areas. Perfect for three of us and one pup.
Cheryl B.Apr 2018
What a great retreat from the desert heat! After golfing in 95 degrees, it was refreshing to drive back up the mountain and relax in the hot tub and sleep with the windows open. The space of this cabin is perfect for two couples and the area has a lot to offer with hiking, shopping and surrounding beauty.
Greg G.Feb 2018
Perfect location, super clean, dog- and kid-friendly!
Dara D.Dec 2017
My husband, yellow dog & I did a 4-day/3 night getaway from LA. First time in Idyllwild & we had a lovely time. The house is super tidy & looks as though it's been updated in recent years. The indoor fireplace is awesome & the outdoor hot tub is fantastic. We only ate out twice (#1 the brewery, super friendly staff & good brews, #2 FERRO first class Italian cuisine, wine & also had a jazz band playing on Tues. night). We went on a long-ish hike around the Nature Center on the first day & took advantage of Karen at Idyllwild Massage the second day. The gas grill outside was great to use. All in all, the perfect spot for a couple. There isn't much of an indoor dining area to accommodate more than four, so if traveling in the colder months, may need to get creative with this one if you're with more than four. Would love to stay at this place again!
Teresa T.Nov 2017
This was a special spot to share with our adult children and 21 month old grandson. Beautiful outside grounds for the little guy to roam and a good size deck to enjoy the out of doors. Clean sheets and plenty of towels. We hope to return!
Eli B.Nov 2017
A very nice home, great creative space. I will be staying here again in the future (If they’ll have me).
William B.Oct 2017
Perfect home for a get away. Everything is perfect. Can’t miss with this beautiful home. So cozy, cute, and comfortable.
Meredith N K.Oct 2017
The house was gorgeous and really comfortable! All of the appliances worked really well, including the jacuzzi and grill. The house looks bigger in pictures than it is in person, but it is still big and comfortably fits 4 people. The master has a huge california king. Make sure to bring your own cooking supplies if you stay here, like oils, tin foil, sponges etc since the kitchen was fairly empty.
Mark W.Aug 2017
The Vacasa staff - i.e. Nikki and Susan - were outstanding and attentive to all of our requests instantly. Five stars for their service - can't say enough great things about them. The house itself is cozy and comfy, especially for relatively short stays. For longer stays (more than a weekend) it could benefit from some upgrades in kitchen equipment and outdoor seating, but overall the house rates well compared to comparable rentals in Idyllwild.

Lovely little house, surrounded with trees. Much more than I expected. My family enjoyed our stay! Dog and kids safe with the gate and driveway. Very close to the town but a good enough distance to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of being in the mountains
Jeffrey T.Jul 2017
Is an adorable cabin. My sister and friend stayed there while visiting me. It was an Idyllic piece of Idyllwild. I would highly recommend The Crow's Nest. The only issue we had was with the tv remote and instructions. Other than that it was just what they wanted. Thank you for allowing us into your home.
