It's the perfect place to enjoy your east coast retreat.

In the fully equipped gourmet kitchen, you'll find all the amenities you need and more for
whipping up some amazing meals. There's a gas range, plenty of counter space, and a convenient dishwasher for easy cleanup. Serve casual meals and snacks at the eat-in table for three, or head into the formal dining room, which has a table for six and a decorative fireplace.

Two bedrooms plus a loft and two full bathrooms will accommodate four guests comfortably. In the loft space, relax with a movie on the flatscreen cable TV with a DVD player and Netflix streaming capability, or enjoy some fun family games. Each bedroom features a queen-size bed, and both full bathrooms offer plenty of space, beautifully updated finishes, and modern showers. There's also a sofabed for additional accommodations, as well as a private washer/dryer in the basement for your convenience.

The Nest offers a “Man Cave Loft” on the third floor with a 55’ TV augmenting the whole-house Wifi and Netflix and media streaming capability (Apple TV friendly). Relax with an adult beverage, a movie or enjoy some fun family games in this unique inviting space.

When you're ready to explore, head over to Cashman Park just over a block away for views of the Merrimack River. Nearby along Merrimack Street, there are several dockside restaurants for delicious seafood and classic lobster rolls. The Waterfront Promenade Park is a must-see as well, along with the scenic old buildings throughout the downtown area.

This area offers plenty of trails, parks, and woods to explore for hiking. Use the bikes provided to ride the Clipper City Rail Trail and venture to Plum Island, The Parker River National Wildlife Refuge, and the beach. Maudslay State Park is nearby and features beautiful 19th century gardens, rolling meadows, and scenic spring flowers. In the winter, this place is a great spot for cross-country skiing and winter walks.

Sailing and boating is also a popular activity in Newburyport, whether you're looking to learn the ropes or simply relax on a cruise out into the Atlantic from the Merrimack River. This house is uncomfortable. No salt, a few sugar packets, used sponges, under sink. Watered down hand soap with about 1/4inch of liquid at three sinks, two broken dining room chairs. Two airconditioners were left in from last summer, therefore cold air blew in through them. A broken screen. The outside of the house was a mess. Broken fence, old woodrn furniture left out all winter. No yard work had been done, seriously nothing. Layers l leaves, horrible and very unsafe brick work. Two filthy plastic chairs near door. Overflowing rubbish barrels outside. The neighbors should be up in arms over this rundown property. What a disappointment. I should try to get my money back. Shame on the owners.

A quaint and comfortable home in a great location. Plumbing problems mid stay were dealt with promptly and a fabulous clean up team averted disaster.

This house was well stocked with everything we needed to cook, grill, and feel at home away from home. We enjoyed the quiet street away from the bustle of main street but close enough to walk everywhere.

We really enjoyed the Squirrel’s Nest. It is close to the port of newburyport which is so cute and fun to walk and discover. The house was comfortable and clean. The customer service is really efective too. We had no problem with the stairs but maybe for older people it would be difficult to manage. Also, we had a 10 months old baby with us and were not comfortable letting her walk alone in the house because she loves grabbing everything she sees and theres a lot of decorations. I would certainly recommend that place!

Loved the property and location in Newburyport. Super convenient to everything. Access to the loft is not suitable for seniors unless they are super agile climbing a ladder to access the loft for TV viewing.

The house was very comfortable and has a lot of charm and character. Would love to know a bit of the history. The stairs to the second floor were a little tricky and the ladder to the third floor was difficult. I would not recommend this home for older people or small children. It was clean and the kitchen was well supplied except I would have liked a few more glasses and some small plates for appetizers . The bathrooms were great except I would have liked a light over the upstairs bathroom sink. There were plenty of linens and the beds were comfortable. The owners might want to add a few board games and playing cards. The best part was the location. It was easy to walk everywhere in the downtown area but far enough away that it was very quiet. I loved the privacy of the street and the yard. There was hardly any traffic. It is a ten minute drive to the beach. It was a great house for a couple or a small family but would be hard for two couples because you have to go through one of the bedrooms to get into the bathroom. Since it was just two of us we really liked it and had a great time.

This house was build in 1746 lots of history attached to it and the quaint city of Newburyport. Wonderful atmosphere with excellent shops and restaurants. If you want to take a step back in time this is a great location to do it.
