Classic home w/ partial ocean views, a horseshoe pit, beach nearby!

Treat your whole family to an unforgettable vacation on the Northern Oregon Coast at this vintage home with a picture framed view of Cape Meares landmark Pyramid rock from the living room. A spacious three-bedroom rental accommodating up to eight guests, it features such amenities as a half-acre level grounds, bean bag toss, horseshoe pit, and good partial ocean views.

In a beautiful quiet rural area, this home's location is perfect for beach days or exploring the area's abundant natural beauty. But if you'd like to sample the scene in town, take an eight-mile drive southeast to Tillamook, where you'll find shopping, dining, and entertainment options.

This one-level home's classic interior (which is a little over 2,000 square feet) is both cozy and familiar. Kick off your shoes and gather for some group entertainment in front of the wall-mounted flatscreen TV in the living area. Flip through cable channels to find a favorite show, or pop in a DVD for an evening movie all together. Between the generous sectional couch and two recliner chairs, there's plenty of seating for everyone. But TV isn't your only entertainment option - you'll also find board and card games, plus a small library of books and CD player.

When the weather is good, head outside to play catch or toss horseshoes in the large, half-acre yard spread out over three lots. You could also pour a favorite beverage and sit on the large wooden deck, or enjoy a summer barbecue using the gas grill.

Speaking of dining, you'll find everything needed for home cooking in the well-equipped kitchen. Serve up fresh Dungeness crab dip on its spacious countertops while waiting on the main course, then move over to the six-seat table when the entree is ready.

Afterward, why not explore the neighborhood? Take a leisurely stroll to the end of Pacific Avenue for beach access and benches to watch the roaring surf, or grab the kids' beach toys provided in the home and watch the sunset over the ocean.

At the end of your day, retreat home to any of three bedrooms (accommodating a total of eight guests) for the restful sleep you deserve. There are king beds in the master bedroom and a guest bedroom, plus a queen bed in the third bedroom. A sofabed adds space for your final two group members.

Wake with the sounds of the sea in the distance, then connect to the WiFi to plan your day's adventures. If you're in the mood for some day trips, you'll find plenty to do within an easy drive. Take a drive to Cape Meares and hike on lush forest trails in the area, or rent a watercraft to explore Tillamook Bay. Kids will love a visit to the Tillamook Cheese Factory (10 miles east), and the area's crabbing and clamming is fun for all ages.

We loved staying here! The beds were comfy, everything was clean, and the beach is just a few yards away. I would definitely stay here again.

I loved how big and spacious it was on the inside! Perfect for a weekend getaway and even better since the beach is right down the road :)

I was happy to find they had a pad on the king bed that softened it enough to be comfortable. The chairs and couches were nice and worked well. The kitchen was great except the water ice dispenser on the fridge was not working at all. There were several nice views and the beach was maybe a 2 min walk. We also enjoyed several games of horse shoes, which was a nice change.

We were very happy and comfortable in this home. We were able to have guest over with plenty of room for everyone. My daughter got engaged at the beach over the weekend and we were able to have all the family together at this home to celebrate this occasion. We were close to the ocean and town. I would recommend this home to anyone. Thanks again Watkins family. Your beach house was a wonderful place to stay.

The house is large and welcoming with view of the ocean.

the bedrooms were big and beds comfortable, lots of kitchen tools and could see the ocean

The house provided everything one could have needed: one sumptuous bathroom fit for a queen, another bathroom just fine, three spacious bedrooms, an entirely provisioned kitchen, including glassware, plateware, flatware, cooking utensils, utilities for all purposes. The entire house was immaculate.
The bathrooms were provisioned with a plethora of towels of all sizes. I was left with the impression of an extremely generous hosting . Well worth the price!

The house was perfect for 3 couples and a baby. It has a living area away from bedrooms for quiet and one closer for gathering around the kitchen. Cape Meares is the perfect spot to enjoy hiking the beach and hanging with friends and family. Sunny deck, fire pit, great neighborhood. Highly recommend it!

This is a very spacious rental. Myself and two friends rented Windhaven for two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Although it is a dated manufactured home, everything we could need was in the kitchen and the beds were comfortable. Instructions for using the TV and internet were clear. We would definitely stay there again.

We just got back from a wonderful family weekend at Cape Meares for the Eclipse. although outside the area of Totality, we found this house available. Having never rented a house before I was a bit nervous about the experience, but with not hotels available anywhere, (that were not jacked up to 650 per night for a 2 star place) I took the chance and I'm glad I did.

I saw from the pictures this place and knew this place was 1970's but it was available and at a reasonable price. It has 3 bedrooms plus a pull out sofa. We had 6 people so it was great.

It's a triple wide mobile home, but in a great location for access to a quiet beach, You go in and you walk back in time to the 1970's. There was a issues with the master bathroom in that the tub was not usable, but it's very spacious and was clean, and had everything we needed.

The beach is outstanding, and we had an easy commute into the zone of totality, and had a once in a lifetime experience.

We got to visit the sites around the Cape and Tillamook as well as the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum, about an 1 1/2 hours away.

So if you don't mind stepping back to the 1970's for a bit, I highly recommend it.

Enjoyed this home very much!

Very spacious for our family of 7. There were more than enough towels, linen, toilet paper, soap and other essentials for our stay. Beach toys, beach chairs and a garden hose to wash off the sand were enjoyed by everyone. The rooms were clean and well furnished. We enjoyed the nook with books and games. The master bathroom was quaint with an open tub, bath salts, candles and drapes. All appliances worked well, washer dryer was very useful. Wi fi worked, althpugh phone signal was very spotty. But they have a landline in the house. Just a few steps away from a picturesque, non crowded beach. Nice yard in front and back.
Cons- There are 2 gas grills, but only one worked. TV in the living room kept flickering on and off, so couldnt watch tv. Lights are rather dim for such a cheery cottage, oven, outdoor grills and stove could have been cleaner.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay away from all the bustle, cooking all of our own meals, exploring the beach and just chilling. Would live to visit again.
Manager response:
We are glad to see this guest had a nice stay. The property manager has removed the broken grill, cleaned the appliances, and made sure all TVs are working. Thank you!

We were two families: 4 adults, 1 teen, 3 toddlers. This was the perfect place for us and we can't wait to book another trip!
We loved that it was all one level, and the rooms were huge with plenty of seating and sleeping space. There was enough room at the table for us all to eat together, and the kitchen had everything I needed! (That is saying something, since I'm very creative and experienced in the kitchen!)
Everything was extremely clean!
The fire pit was great at night and we were the perfect from the beach. What a great spot on the beach, too! Almost like we had our own private beach.
Seriously- the next time we are on the coast, we will be booking this same house!

A short walk to the beach with breath taking views. A comfortable and clean home for a family to enjoy!

The home is very spacious and layed out very well. The paneling was a bit dark but overall a wonderful place to vacation. All the amenities needed were there.

Don't let the dated look fool you. Seems like someone intentionally tried to recreate their grandparents beach house from the 70s. Everything is well maintained with newer carpet and new w/d & fridge. Very spacious. The proximity to the beach is awesome.

Good price for this house. I have no complains but recommendations. The house was to the dead end so it is quiet and family friendly. Minutes walk to the beach, fishing and kayaking. Very near to the netarts bay. Everything looks like new and clean, from kitchen to the bathroom. TV, wifi and books are great. Many beach toys for kids. It was decorated from corner to corner, including the teeth brush holder. You don't need to any bring kitchen ware or cooking materials. They have everything even first aid kit. Not a hotel but a home. The gas grill was not working efficiently but I think the staff can fix it. Wanted to stay longer and will come back again.
