We were happy to find a bran new remodeled backyard for entertaining. Great location and this home had everything we needed ...including portable fans in every room to beat the heat. The only thing that wasn't so great is that the home is located on the corner of a busy street with a lot of morning noise.. so bring your earplugs for the front bedroom and enjoy your stay!

We absolutely loved this house, it fit our family of 4 very well. The location was convenient to the lake as well as restaurants and other activities. The newly remodeled house was done very well and we moved in and immediately felt comfortable. This house will be on the top of our list the next time plan a trip to the area.

Among all the houses we’ve rented over the years, we had a less-than-positive experience this time.

We reached the place at 9pm, found the lockbox, but it wouldn’t open with the code given to us. There was supposed to be backup lockbox, which contained no key.

So I tried calling the Vacasa number (even the local Tahoe number turned out to lead to a call center somewhere), and had to leave a voicemail because nobody answered. We were stuck outside the house for 15+ minutes until the housekeeping manager randomly came by. She said she had not heard from Vacasa, but I’m not sure why she popped in though. She helped us find the key which was dropped somewhere in the yard by one of the other housekeepers.

Once inside, there was a stench of spoilt eggs. We roasted coffee at night to try to kill the smell.

On the last day, we called to see if a late checkout was possible, like we’ve done many times, and exactly as the Vacasa email suggested we do. The property manager said that we could rent the place for an additional night for full price (so, clearly, it was unoccupied), but they would not allow a late checkout, even for a price, because the homeowner had chosen not to allow that.

All in all, we were a bit disappointed with this property.

Driving up to the property, we we're not so sure that it was going to be as nice as it turned out. Do not judge it by the outside. Once you get inside, it is beautiful. All new appliances and furnishings. Comfortable furniture and beds. Great location. Just blocks from Kings Beach. They were also beach chairs and towels for guest use.

The house overall was great. On the outside you wouldn't know it but inside the home is clean and new! Everything inside the house was great. Only two issues, ac was not working and the ice maker also didn't work. The other issue was the trundle beds, you can only use one at a time, it's really not possible to use both so the option is sleeping 4 is not accurate. Besides that the home was great, every amenity you could need. Coffee maker is awesome too! Also outside seating was great. Definitely recommend this home for a small family up to 6 persons, not 8.

The property is very nicely remodeled, and everything in the house is very new! The kitchen is VERY well stocked -- we ate every meal at home or packed lunches for outings .

The beach is a mere 5 minutes walk from the beach and shops which is the biggest plus of staying here!

We were a bit surprised upon arrival as the exterior of the house was not yet remodeled, but forgot all about it once we entered the property and it didn't hinder us from enjoying our stay in the least bit. We loved the low-key, relaxing atmosphere of Kings Beach and will stay at this property again.

This is a small thousand square-foot house, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, which has recently been remodeled on the inside. Although unassuming from the outside, the inside is lovely.

There is a state-of-the-art kitchen with a very nice gas range, a large ranch door style refrigerator with water dispenser and icemaker, coffee machine, and single-serve Tassimo coffee maker as well. Barbecue tools are provided as well as many other kitchen tools.

The living room is comfortable, with a wraparound couch, glass coffee table, and a very nice entertainment system with an excellent TV, Dish Network television service, and good sound. Each of the bedrooms also has a television as well.

The master bedroom is a large bedroom off the living room and has a medium firm mattress which is softer due to a memory foam topper. We found it very comfortable with the topper, but some might prefer the to remove the topper for firmer support. The queen size bed was pushed against the wall, which made it hard for one of us to get out of the bed, so we moved it out slightly. I'd suggest moving the bed out from the wall permanently so that both people can get in and out of bed comfortably.

The master bath is small but very nice with marble and glass and an excellent shower head.

The second bathroom is off the living room and is large and comfortable, also with nice marble and glass shower and a very nice shower head.

The second bedroom which is off the living room is somewhat smaller, has a very firm queen mattress (but also has a memory foam topper which makes it less firm). The bed is in the middle of the room so it makes it easy for both people to get in and out of bed. There is also a television mounted on the wall in this bedroom.

The third bedroom which we didn't really use has two twin beds. We didn't use these beds. There is also a television in this room.

There are nice wood floors in both bathrooms, the living room, and the kitchen, and carpet in all of the bedrooms.

The kitchen has a very nice modern Samsung gas stove and French door style refrigerator with ice maker and water dispenser. The icemaker was not functioning and probably needed defrosting, but it was not obvious how to do that so we lived without it.

I did Google the problem and discovered it is common with these refrigerators. It might be a good idea to supply ice trays in the regular freezer so that if the ice maker freezes up one can still make ice.

The kitchen has all of the utensils one might need, as well as nice pots and pans and even plastic storage containers. We were impressed with how well supplied the kitchen was.

The house got a little warm during the day (temps in the 80's) but cooled off quickly in the evening when we opened up the windows and ran the big fan in the LR window, and a smaller box fan in the master bedroom window.

Outside there is a large yard, with a large glass outdoor table underneath a large cantilevered umbrella. You could easily seat a number of people for an outdoor barbecue. There's also a gas grill and a bear proof garbage can. Make sure you try flipping the switch near the base of the umbrella for romantic led lighting on the underside of the umbrella!

It is obvious that the owners care a lot about this place as everything is very nice and there is plenty of attention to detail. There were also plenty of supplies in the kitchen and the laundry room. We greatly enjoyed our stay at this house.
