Come to the Northern Oregon coast and be charmed by this two-bedroom Rockaway Beach vacation home! Carefree beach living is spread out over two levels, with a master bedroom, full kitchen, second bedroom, and two additional unique sleeping areas in the loft. You'll enjoy details like knotty pine walls, a deck, an outdoor fire pit, and beach access that is just a short walk away.
The living room features lots of windows for natural light, comfortable furniture (including a queen futon), and a TV with dish service, a DVD player, and DVD library full of movies. Here, you can gather your friends and family around for a fun movie night or an evening of board games.
The full kitchen has all the appliances needed for vacation meals - start the day with scrambled eggs and bacon, and finish it with a roast chicken. Of course, if you don't feel like cooking, you can always head out to one of the area's restaurants.
Also on the main level, there's a laundry room so your group will always have clean, warm clothes, and a master bedroom with a queen sized bed and a lovely antique armoire. For added convenience, there's also three bathrooms - one with a tub, the other two with walk-in showers.
Upstairs, knotty pine paneling gives the space a cozy, cabin feel. There are two sleeping alcoves, each with a twin sized bed, and one space even has its own TV and VCR. The bedroom has two queen sized beds and a queen size futon. A cute little upper-level deck is just the space to enjoy a quiet conversation over a glass of wine. This ocean getaway will sleep 10 guests comfortably! Two dogs are welcome for an additional nightly fee.
From here, it's only a short walk across the street to the beach access trail and then you can enjoy the views of the famous Twin Rocks, walk along the shore, or build sand castles. At the end of the day, when you're all back at the house, talk about the day's adventures at the backyard picnic table or roast marshmallows in the fire pit.
Of course, Rockaway Beach is a great location for planning day trips all throughout the Northern Oregon Coast. A short 20 minute drive will take you to Tillamook for an afternoon of cheese tasting at the Tillamook Cheese Factory. Only 10 minutes north is Manzanita, a beautiful ocean-side city with seven miles of sandy, pristine beach. And when you want to stay close to the house, you're only a 15 minute walk from the main drag's restaurants, antique shops, and ice cream parlors. For your next Rockaway Beach getaway, your group will definitely enjoy relaxing at this charming vacation cottage in by the beach.

Charming home. Love the location. Perfect for a family.

This little hidden treasure is a beautiful hideaway just outside of Rockaway Beach block and a half from the ocean. It was super quaint and very cozy and accommodated all of our family and friends!

Beach Charm was a quirky and fun place to stay, kinda felt like staying in a boat! There was plenty of room for everyone, the house had lots of books, movies and games to play and the kitchen was well equipped! Only a short walk to the beach passing through a tunnel cut out of bushes and trees, kinda magical! Everything else was close by as well.

As advertised, this is a charming home with a short walk to the beach. ... BUT, based on our experience; I would be hesitant to rent homes from VACASA and suggest you look elsewhere. In my opinion; VACASA fees to the customer are excessive and do not necessarily mean a great experience. I don't know the fees charged to home owners; but I suspect the home owner's budget is squeezed so much that is hard for them to provide good housecleaning help and to keep homes maintained.

My family had a blast staying here! It was a nice, cozy beach cottage ! We were hoping to use the small fire pit outside to do s'mores but with the overgrowth of shrubs, we were afraid of starting a brush fire! But, the beach is SO close , we had a bonfire on the beach! Watching the sunrise and set everyday was amazing!!! The bedroom upstairs is great, just watch your head, the ceiling aren't made for tall folks! The fan in the bathroom near the stairs wasn't working , so black mold was growing on the ceiling since the steam had no where to go! But my family had a memorable time there! We would like to do this every year and we would definitely stay here again!

This house is so cute and comfortable. Very much like home. We loved the floor plan. Lots of room upstairs for kids to have their own space. Plus the door between the kitchen and living space provided a quiet place for early-risers to gather and let others sleep-in without interruption. And it's only a block from the beach.
Amelia Kenneth W.Jul 2017
Good place, block from nice beach. Not much to eat nearby. Just an old ocean town. Watch out for cops, they were doing stings in town at crosswalks. house needs some updates but was good.

If you are looking for a place to getaway with the family that feels like home, this is a great property! My children loved staying there so much that they were sad to go and still a day later want to go back! It had everything we needed and literally was home away from home for us! We will be booking this property again!

I am retired construction worker and I have always been interested with the look of wood on walls, floors and the intricate cuts upstairs were very interesting to me. Plus the cabin feel also I was very impressed with the pictures and general home layout. Plenty of sleeping space also.

Had a great time staying at Rockaway beach. Very good proximity for fishing. Tons of room in the house and had a great time cooking dinner and relaxing. The cable was a big bonus and I think it would be a good spot for larger groups of people. Thanks
Patty C.Sep 2016
Our big family totally enjoyed our stay in this fun little house, that was right next to the beach!!!
Denise R.Aug 2016
Plenty of beds - kitchen is well stocked - really cute little cabin in a quite neighborhood - added bonus is handicap beach access down the road - we will stay here again
David L.Aug 2016
Doesn't look like much in the outside, but the inside is very nice. Upstairs is good for kids beds (very low ceiling with lots of angles - WATCH YOUR HEAD IF YOURE OVER 5'4").
Master bed is only a full...I slept on the futon after the first night. Not enough room for both of us.
Well stocked house, very neat and clean. Close to the beach. And it was nice and quiet, since it's off the road. The train does go RIGHT by the back of the house, but it's only a few times in the daylight hours. We weren't home too many times to even hear it.
There's no driftwood at this beach. Be warned - if you like a nice fire on the beach - you're gonna have to buy it in town. Which sucks since the beach 1/2 mile south is covered in firewood. That was the only drawback to staying here. We usually have a big fire every night, and only had 2 small ones since firewood isn't free.
Washer and dryer are pretty old (and small). Dryer needs to be run twice to get anything actually dry.
The kitchen table is big enough for 8! And there's still a dining room table that seats 6!
Michael A.Aug 2016
Great spot for a large family to get away and relax. Large informal dining table and another for games.
Fire on the beach when it's calm, fire in the outside fireplace when the wind is strong. Outside shower to rinse off sand.
Perfect for us. Thanks.

Great quirky space. Would be great for two families, was a squeeze with three. Upstairs is like belowdecks on a boat - low ceilings, small windows, sleeping alcoves, group bedroom, wacky bathroom - great fun especially for able bodied kids (very steep stairs). All 12 (plus two dogs) of us fit around the kitchen table! No one big communal space, but several smaller ones- good for multiple activities going on at once. Kitchen, though small, was functional with a central isthmus. Outdoor picnic table next to BBQ and fire pit, little lawn area. Great little roof deck with view of steam train chugging by. 101 road noise was imperceptible over the constant dull roar of the ocean. House now has crab crackers! Not recommended for people with walking challenges- many minor grade changes throughout the house.

We had a great time with a 4 couples and 3 babes under the age of 2 without any problems.

Fun little old house that's been added on a lot! Great woodwork through out. Some original others added. 3 bathrooms, large well stocked kitchen with great table for after dinner kids board games and a door to drown out the noise in other areas of house. A small dining area off the living room is great for puzzles. and a Plethora of videos and video games. Located on a dead end. you can view the historical train as it comes by daily. The kids loved it. Walk to beach is easy on the wooded path.

The house is so cute, Loved the kitchen!! Had a great time!

Lovely place that felt like a beach house. We hope to return.

We rented this house for 2 nights (Friday & Saturday nights), and were lucky to have the late checkout option, which allowed us to stay until 7pm Sunday evening. I love the location, it is just a block from the beach access, which is a trail leading to a very private expanse of beach in front of Twin Rocks. The house was cozy, but the many separate spaces allowed for some privacy. We enjoyed meals at the big kitchen table and benches, and had fun playing board games at the big table in the dining room. There are tons of board games in the game cabinet, and even an X-box with many many games. The Wi-Fi is excellent, and there's even a bit of cellular reception here (in case you can't deal with being disconnected). There are two actual bedrooms, one being a normal size with a full bed; the other upstairs has very low ceilings...reminiscent of Gandalf visiting Frodo in the shire....but it has 2 full beds AND a queen futon in it--works out great for parents with small children. The other two sleeping nooks are spacious, with a chair and even a TV/dvd in one...but not private, so great for older kids. We were three couples, and one 4 year old. Plenty of bathrooms for everyone, but the third couple had to share a sleeping nook with twin bed (they are young and used to it). It's an older house with it's quirks, but very comfortable and ideally located for beach activities. We had a great time.

This house was perfect for a family our family.
It is a small house but the layout helps everyone have some space if needed.
I would say the upstairs would not be a space that everyone would enjoy as it has short ceilings. However, the property was very clean and a nice close location to the beach. We are looking forward to coming back.
Kim M.Dec 2015
The kitchen has good prep spaces and it's a great place to cook together but bring anything you might need if you're particular, including your own scrubber and trash bags. Upstairs is awesome for lots of kids but the ceiling is too low for even short adults. The location makes this a sweet place and if you're not out for luxury and just a couple with lots of kids, it's great.
Justin L.Sep 2015
House is cozy and perfect for a weekend at the coast. Great location, lots of bathrooms, and fun games for the kids. We loved it!
Anjali G.Jul 2015
This was a wonderful little house. It is well stocked with vhs movies, has two vhs players upstairs, and dvd downstairs. The kids had a great time collecting shells and laying them out on the picnic table to sort and trade. There is a small barbecue grill on which we grilled salmon. The pots were adequately large, and there plenty of dishes. The access to the beach is a block away. The woodworking is beautiful and cozy.
Some items to bring: a flashlight (to get back through the path from the beach at night), dishwasher detergent (which was missing), spare lightbulbs (quite a few lights burnt out).

This is a super charming house that is a mix of vintage design and more modern remodeling. Set well back from the road, there is nice sense of privacy though if there were partyers in any of the adjoining properties it could be a problem. (They were all vacant during our stay.) Literally a 2 minute walk to a really nice beach that was nearly deserted the whole time we were there. A couple of small gripes: There are some kitchen items that were missing or broken, namely a bottle opener (none in the drawers, the one of the wall is unusable) and a corkscrew (broken). Also, the futon couch immediately slouched to the floor no matter how much we pulled it back on the frame, which made it nearly useless for seating. That said, this place is a superb value in a great setting that's close to most of the best spots in this area of the North Coast. We had a blast!
Thanks so much for review. Your suggestions have been forwarded to the local property manager, and we will work to have these concerns addressed quickly. It sounds like you had a great time, and we're delighted to hear that you enjoyed this beautiful home and its proximity to the beach. We look forward to seeing you again soon!
Preetha J.May 2015
We stayed a week. Mostly home cooked meals. The kitchen has all the basic. Although you may need to get a good can opener. I do agree that the upstairs bathroom is a bit awkward with the toilet right in the middle. The upstairs ceilings are low and everyone needs to watch their head. We were 5 adults and 2 kids. It is comfortable for the size of the group.

A group of friends and I stayed at Beach Charm and it was perfect. The house is incredibly cute. The kitchen is the perfect size and there is plenty of room for everybody to eat together. The beach is eighth across the street and it is the most beautiful beach. You have it all to yourself basically! The twin rocks are right there on that beach. The town is cute and quaint, but right in between Cannon Beach and Tillamook so you can explore those towns easily! I would highly recommend Beach Charm to anybody hoping to stay on the Oregon Coast!
We are so pleased to hear that you and your group of friends had a great time at the Beach Charm! This is such a great location with it being a block from Highway 101 and having the beach, with the Twin Rocks, right across the street. There is definitely no shortage of things to do with popular coastal towns in either direction from this house, or stay close and enjoy the town of Rockaway, with plenty of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Thank you for taking the time to send us your amazing review, we hope to have you as guests again soon!
Chrystabel L.Mar 2015
The house was perfect for a weekend and the location was perfect. Twin Rocks was gorgeous and we got to watch the sunset and have a bonfire on the beach. The community around there was nice and it was safe. It's good for anyone who enjoys the beach.

We stayed at Beach Charm for 2 nights in August 2014 following the Hood to Coast Relay. It was the perfect place to relax, rest and enjoy good times with friends. The house is ideal for a large group, with 3 full bathrooms, 2 large dinning room tables, and an upstairs loft full of nooks with beds. We enjoyed time outside on the upstairs balcony and outside on the picnic table next to the fire pit. It was nice to have a washer/dryer to wash clothes as well. For those wanting to be on the grid, some of our cell phones did not have service inside the house but the wifi was fast! Only complaint is that the kitchen was not stocked with basics like salt and cooking oil, but we hope to have resolved that by leaving our own leftover supplies! We will be back for another stay and highly recommend it for families or large groups.

Nestled among many other charming homes, this beach house lives up to its name. Wood trim and paneling highlight Its fishing and nautical themes and give the impression of being tied to the sea. Although it seems to have been built many years ago, it has some nice updates and feels comfortable. We liked hearing the ocean through open windows and feeling the breeze blowing through the house. When we were there it needed some minor maintenance and had an odd assortment of cookware, but we were able to find mostly what we needed. (Next time we would bring a good can opener.) The beach is a short walk down some lovely paths, and many other scenic locations are not far to drive. We would probably come again if we were to visit this area again. Note for tall people: there are some low doorways and ceilings that can give you some bumps to the head if you're not careful, especially upstairs. In fact, there are some spaces upstairs that are better suited to children than adults, and the beds are small and not extremely comfortable. Also, the upstairs bathroom is oddly arranged. Otherwise, there are some nice sitting areas and there is a lot of space for dining and setting up computer workspace. We found it quite adequate for our family of 6.
Nicole E.Aug 2014
This is a wonderful house. It is set back from the road and there are three bathrooms. There is lots of space to spread out and enjoy the house. There are three beach access trails within a block or so of the house. If you are looking for a longer walk, Rockaway Beach has quite a few cute shops. We would definitely stay here again.
Thank you for the thoughtful review. We are happy you enjoyed your stay and the home. We look forward to you visiting us again.

This was a perfect place to stay for a large group. The kitchen table is huge (and there are two of them) so you can all enjoy meals together! When you first arrive the place is a little hidden behind another house so you night drive by a couple times. It's nice and private and close to the beach!

My two grown sons and I had a great stay at Beach Charm over Christmas. It would be especially good for a big group. It truly is a charming house.
We are glad that you had an enjoyable time with your family. Thanks for sharing your review with us!
