Charming Big Bear getaway w/ private hot tub & wood fireplace - close to slopes!

Get the most out of your vacation days when you stay at this lovely Big Bear vacation rental! Perfect for a small family or a few close friends, this two-bedroom getaway offers a private hot tub, a private washer/dryer, free WiFi, and a convenient location close to both of Big Bear's ski resorts.

Situated in a quiet neighborhood, this cozy home is one mile east of Snow Summit Ski Resort and one mile west of Bear Mountain Ski Resort. The lake itself is within a few minutes' drive, as are several business districts, making it easy to pursue a variety of activities and interests.

Upon arriving at your new home away from home, take note of the front deck. Built-in benches invite you to relax with a glass of wine while the evening winds down, and a gas grill is available for any impromptu barbecues.

Head inside and find yourself in the main living space. To your right, a comfortable sectional couch faces a large flatscreen TV. Put your feet up while you browse the cable channels, or bask in the warmth of the wood fireplace on cold winter evenings.

To your left, there's a dining room table and a breakfast bar, which can together accommodate up to six diners. Enjoy a home-cooked meal as a group, or grab a quick snack between adventures.

Speaking of cooking, the well-appointed kitchen has everything you need to put together a tasty meal, including a gas range and ample counter space. When you're finished eating, the dishwasher makes cleanup a breeze.

When it's time for bed, up to five guests will sleep comfortably between this home's two bedrooms. One bedroom features a queen-size bed and direct access to the private backyard hot tub, while the other bedroom features a set of twin-over-double-style bunk beds.

Big Bear is a well-established year-round vacation destination, so regardless of when you visit, you're guaranteed to find plenty to do. In the winter, Big Bear is renowned for skiing and snowboarding, and additional activities include ziplining, Segway tours, and moonlight snowshoeing.

During the summer, the surrounding mountains offer abundant hiking and mountain biking trails. Spend an afternoon kayaking or canoeing on Big Bear Lake, or visit the Big Bear Discovery Center and go for a nature walk. Check out the Alpine Zoo to learn more about the area's native fauna and see some of them up close.

There's no better way to spend your vacation than at this charming Big Bear home. Start planning your trip today!

Our mini spring break at big bear getaway was amazing. We defiantly felt at home. Our kids loved the Jacuzzi and basketball post. We're close to most attractions and stores. Defiantly thinking of going back during winter or summer.

This cabin is super cute!!! Loved the proximity to the slopes. Loved the fireplace and hot tub after a long day of boarding. Also loved the proximity to grocery stores. Others say it's dated, but I figure if you're renting a cabin like this you should expect it to be rustic and charming. Would definitely recommend and we'll stay here on our next trip.

Upon arrival, the first thing that I noticed was the strong smell of smoke. Wow. But the house was very clean, tidy and ready for our stay - horray! I'm assuming that the smoky smell was from the fireplace - but since it was a wood burning stove (meaning that when in use is closed and smoke does not escape) I'm not sure.

The cabin was small but nicely setup and enough room for me, hubby and our two middle school age kids.

Kids loved the foosball table! We all loved the hot tub!

While none of us had any cell service in the cabin, the internet was strong and we could text / email without any difficulty.

Great location that was residential and quiet, but easy access to stores / downtown / slopes.

The house had mostly everything we needed... but wonder why there were:
Only 2 towels for use in the hot tub when there were 4 of us (there were other bath towels, but there were hot tub towels laid out on the bed near the hot tub, and bath towels were in a different place - so we guessed that we were supposed to use these towels for hot tub. We had to use both kinds)
No butter knives?
Only 4 bowls (2 of which were dirty - I'm assuming this was from a previous guest since the cabin was very clean, but it was still yucky) - I'm glad there were not 5 of us staying (the max in this cabin is 5 people)
While these are little things - they make an impact.

I had not read the review about there not being cable TV - or any local TV that we could get. The TV is a smart TV, Netflix was fine, and you can access other smart TV features. But that was disappointing.

Overall - nice cabin and an easy place to stay. Thank you for having us!

For me this cabin was too comfortable. It had all the comforts of suburban society, which I was hoping to get away from. But, it is a great house either way. Feels like a home away from home. This level of "galmping" is a little to much luxury for my pallet. Had a great time, no less.

Cabin was clean. Hot tub was great. I was really surprised that there wasn't cable TV! It's 2018 and I didn't even think to ask if the cabin had cable! We are a active family but cable is a must as an option for late night. For that reason I would stay elsewhere.

My husband and I were anxious for a little weekend getaway. This little cabin was cute and cozy and perfect for the two of us. It was quiet and peaceful and quite romantic. We had everything we needed in close proximity. Thank you so much for a great and memorable time!

My friend and I had a blast at this cabin. It's real close to shops, horseback riding, enjoying time on the lake, or just hiking at all the close by trials. The next time we stay, I will most definitely stay in this cabin if it's available.

Thanks for a great weekend.

I booked this cabin for the weekend prior to July 4th and enjoyed so much we extended for 2 more nights. Very quaint in nice quiet neighborhood within walking distance to Moonridge Coffee. ( Big plus!. Great coffee and delicious pastry and breakfast sandwiches) the hot tub was the big selling point. Being able to relax and enjoy in the private rear patio was wonderful. Will definitely make a return trip.
