The house is older, with most rooms sloping a bit. There are only two actual beds, the rest are futons in curtained off areas. It worked out ok for us because we were there with our children, but it isn't set up for more than one family. The view from the living room and deck are great but there isn't any beach access and you need to drive to get anywhere. Other than a lack of cereal bowls it was well stocked with kitchen supplies and nicely labeled.
Manager Response:
We have added new bowls in the home so there is an adequate amount for the maximum occupancy. Thank you!

House was nice, well kept and clean. It’s close to the water, we saw tons of whales from the living room windows. Check out list was super easy.

Needed a place for a few days to take our visiting family members from Texas to impress them on the Oregon coast -- and this home was so much more than expected! Everything was labeled for ease of use; plenty of sleeping space; the view is hard to beat; BBQ grill outside on deck; all the amenities for a comfy, homey vacation stay. It is an older home, but it has charm & character. The trail to the cliffside was a bit slick due to the weather & pine needles, so we opted to walk the street instead - which was fine for viewing LOTS of whales! Loved it. Would absolutely love to visit again.

We weren't quite sure what it would REALLY be like inside this home. We had read reviews that made us a bit cautious but we had no need at all. THIS HOME IS FUN! It has a lot of character; crannies and nooks, slanted ceilings upstairs, and a very homey feeling. It's a well-loved home (whoever owns it!)

I don't know what the pricing usually is but it was really affordable for a place that can sleep 11!

This home was great for my family reunion. It was nicely located, well stocked, and just an enjoyable place to stay.

This house was super sweet and very comfortable. Nothing fancy, but plenty of room, towels, bedding, kitchen equipment, etc all very clean and well organized. The “secret” path to a basalt beach created lotsa whale watching and tidepooling ops, the views were lovely, and we will be back! Re: other reviews’ observation about the floors— they were tilty but very stable. we got used to it quickly and it wasn’t a big deal. Unless u have significant vertigo/balance issues, u really don’t notice it after the first 1/2 hour or so.

The location of his rental is fantastic. Right between Newport and Lincoln. We saw lots of whales right from the living room and also from the lookout at the end of the path. It is dated as many of the other reviews say but it is clean and comfortable and was supplied with most everything you need to eat in. We had a full house with 11 people but it was still very comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.

What a wonderful birthday weekend for my friends 61st birthday, we all had a great time! The house is just beautiful and has everything you would ever need. The view is really nice and there is enough seating for everyone in your party. We will be back thanks again for a wonderful stay.

This home was a great place for my husband and I. We stayed here for a quick getaway for our 20th wedding anniversary. There is ample seating throughout the house. Lots of chairs and many couches! This home has a well-stocked kitchen with drawers labeled. There are ample linens/towels.
The view is amazing! We were able to see the ocean from the living room as well as our bedroom.
We could easily come back with all of our kids, there is so much space for sleeping, they really are quite creative with it.
The only minor thing to get used to is the light switches. They are oddly placed, some are labeled, but don't always work. So we just had to leave a lamp or two on all the time so we could see when we came home after dark.

The house is nice and there's plenty of room, but it has such a slant that at times you lose your balance, it is very noticeable. The furnishings are very nice, in excellent condition and the kitchen is very well stocked with utensils, dishes, etc. The view is lacking, only peekaboo views of the ocean itself. The house is in a very nice neighborhood high above the ocean with no direct access to the rocky shoreline for viewing or taking a walk and the homes are very close together. Just on the outskirts of downtown Depoe Bay.
Manager Response:
There is a path in the backyard that leads to a viewing area and vista point at the Hwy 101 turn off a few blocks from the home. The house does slant a bit, which is part of its 50 year old character, but most of our guests do not mind this. Thank you!

Although some might consider this home a little dated, we found it cozy, beautifully furnished and thoughtfully full of love. It was bigger than we expected, the view was better and the kitchen had everything! One morning spotted grey whales (think huge!) were close in to shore and with the binoculars I had an amazing experience as they stayed around for a hour. Hearing the waves crashing from the upstairs bedroom was awesome. Definitely would come back.

The home is situated at the end of a beautiful neighborhood with views of the ocean both south and west of the home, due to an inlet. It’s located in Depoe Bay, which is a cute town on its own, but the location is perfect with Newport and Lincoln City being so close. Great food, coffee, and restaurants all around! We were very satisfied with the condition of the property. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, there were many movies and board games for entertainment, several comfortable beds, and there was even WiFi and Netflix for us to use. There is a pathway going out the back of the property to a secret cove with a bench. Despite how great this rental property was, it was also great working with Vacasa. Vacasa was very helpful and even very responsive to us whenever there was a need. Their office is situated close to the Depoe Bay area, so there isn’t a feeling of isolation in case something were to go wrong. Overall I would say that our stay was very comfortable. It was truly restful. We filled the house to its capacity with our group, and every single person loved it. I would highly recommend this place. Great location, great value, great amenities, great views of the ocean. I plan to be back!

I was staying here with my parents, my siblings, and my cousins visiting from Colorado. The secret pathway to the cove was awesome! It was a great place to explore the tide pools in the morning and just the views were amazing and very peaceful.

I would come back here again!

We found the location and the view amazing and once inside we realized this house was a home and it made us fell at home all the furnishing were awesome and all the items you would find in a house where there nothing was left to chance in the house and kitchen it was by far the best rental house we have ever stayed in even across other companies like airbnb and expedia we were so blessed to have found this property that we are planning on coming back with other family members for the Thanksgiving weekend.
