Modern oceanfront duplex with bay windows, private deck, and sea views
Breathe in the scent of evergreens and ocean waves at this enchanting Yachats vacation home. Located on a bluff just a few hundred feet from the water, this lovely duplex offers wonderful views of the hypnotically blue Pacific, a private deck, and a recently remodeled and refurnished interior.
The rental is located on a quiet stretch of the Oregon Coast Highway that's perfect for anyone seeking a romantic getaway or simply an escape from the world. Downtown Yachats is about seven miles north, and you're also close to the spectacular headlands of Cape Perpetua (five miles).
You can walk down a steep path on the property to a secluded beach, though if the weather is damp or you're traveling with children we recommend driving to a nearby wayside for the safest access to the sand. If you'd rather stay close to home, relax on the outdoor swing and watch the sun set slowly into the Pacific. Keep an eye out for elk and bald eagles, too!
Back inside, stretch out on the couch and enjoy the natural light pouring in through the skylights and sliding door. The attached kitchenette is perfect for preparing small homemade meals and is equipped with a microwave, toaster oven, and waffle iron. Enjoy dining out on the deck, or pour yourselves a glass of wine and share an intimate dinner at the bar.
Please note that while free WiFi is provided, the rental's remote location means the connection can be uneven at times, which makes this location ideal for spending some quality time with your special someone. You can also rent both halves of the duplex together if you're traveling with a larger group. Please call Vacasa for more information!

Beautiful spot just south of Cape Perpetua. House is quiet and comfortable inside. The beach below is beautiful. And endless places to explore nearby.

We loved the peaceful setting at the Oregon House, this was our first stay but it won’t be our last. The beach & sunsets were amazing.

Have stayed here before but this duplex at the end is my favorite as it is very private. A few amenities didn't work but other than that it was great!

The view from this unit is incredible. We’ve stayed here twice and will stay here again. The only bummer is that there is no stove/oven. We know this so plan accordingly and eat out most of the time anyway so it’s not a big deal. This is the end unit for the entire property so very quiet and private.

This duplex is designed for just two people so likely couples are using it as a getaway. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was lovely. However, that’s where the pros stop. The place had a strong musty smell and I recommend they get an ionizer/dehumidifier to help combat with the moisture that is creating the musty/moldy smell. You do get used to it after the first day. The living space upstairs felt like a college dorm room with mismatched furniture, cheap coffee table and end tables, only two glasses and two forks and only 3 plates. We had to hand wash dishes every single meal which isn’t something you want to do on vacation. Table service for 4 would be ideal. The wall decor didn’t even go together. It did not have a luxurious couples retreat feel. The view of ocean was wonderful but there was no screen door on the sliding door to the deck, and because we wanted to hear the roar of the ocean, we kept the sliding door open but then had to deal with insects flying in. The bedroom was downstairs and it felt like we were in a basement. Dark wood and dark curtains surround, although the bed was comfortable. Price is too high and does not reflect the condition of this rental. Im not usually this harsh on reviews but our romantic getaway was definitely not what we planned.
Thank you for staying with us, Sheree. We are sorry to hear the condition of the condo did not meet your expectations. We will ensure that all areas of concern are addressed appropriately in an effort to provide a more pleasant stay for our guests. We appreciate your feedback and hope to provide you with a more comfortable experience next visit!

Oregon House is a perfect get away! It was beautiful and relaxing! We loved the private beach and beautiful sunsets!

This was the second time that I spent a few days at the Oregon House. We enjoyed the spectacular view from our deck onto the ocean and the property's beautifully maintained grounds. We took advantage of the access to the secluded beach that allowed us to to go on daily walks. The duplex was clean and in very good condition, except for a water leak caused by a disconnected pipe under the one of the two bathroom sinks on the ground-floor. This should be fixed. The king-sized bed was comfortable. Since we knew that the unit does not have a stove or hot-plate, we brought our own supply of pre-cooked meals that we could heat up in the microwave. The two skylights looked fine by day but at night we could see they were covered in cobwebs. Overall a pleasant stay.
Hi Alexander, we appreciate your feedback and are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay. We do wish we had been advised if there was a leak in the home. We always want to check on leaks immediately. We will let the local staff know so they can review it further. Thank you for staying with us and we hope to host you again.

The view is amazing! And I love the private little beach that is an easy walk away from our room.

Wonderful little place overlooking the coast. Perfect for our honeymoon getaway!
Randy S.Feb 2020
Perfect for 2 people get-away; the only thing that was a slight disappointment is that there is no beach access, but that is probably because the area is higher off the beach. Great views if the waves coming in, though, both from the house and the grounds, and the area is well groomed!

This was our 3rd time back to the Oregon House and love it more and more each time! We have previously stayed in the cottage and the Duplex now twice. The Duplex offers an amazing view, clean and updated living space and everything you need to have for a fun and relaxing time! What we love most about the vacation home is the property. You cannot ask for anything better. From the bluff view by the homes itself, the safe trail down to the ocean and plenty of spaces to lounge and take in the scene. The property is private, quiet and a perfect place to escape from it all. My husband and I love walking on the beach, watching out for passing seals, whales and dolphins, exploring the tide pools, watching the spectacular sunsets and feeling like the beach is our own. We love all the personal touches to the houses/duplex. Our room had beach towels, a flash light to explore at night, and all the kitchen items to make snacking and eating easy. Again, the perfect escape and provides an opportunity to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. Thank you Oregon House for providing a beautiful, safe and clean vacation home to make great memories. We can't wait to come back!!

If you are looking for the tranquility of a private beach and a beautiful setting. This is the place. I very much enjoyed the peaceful, undisturbed natural setting that allowed me to collect my thoughts.- The unit was very clean and had a beautiful view. The property was well kept with private beach access.-
One piece of advice for the owners: a toaster and an espresso machine would be a welcome addition to the kitchen amenities. These items could be obtained at very little expense.

Secluded sort of location. We drove past it once before finding the right turn off but other than that it was pretty easy to find and get into. No hassle at all.
Wish we would have had access to a hotplate or something to make dinner a few of the nights.
Access to everything on the TV (netflix, hulu, plex, amazon) and didn't have any problems with the internet. I would certainly come back.
AMAZING sunset viewing.

Fantastic location just minutes south of Cape Perpetua and Yachats. Gorgeous views and easy access to private beaches. Very clean and well appointed duplex. Yes there is no stove or heating element, but the location is remote and heavily forested, so can’t complain about extra fire safety. Appliances include: large microwave oven, small fridge / freezer, coffee maker, toaster oven, blender, waffle maker. Excellent food in Yachats!
David L.Jan 2019
Lovely unit, lots of privacy, beautiful ocean views unobstructed by cars or picnic tables. Not for anyone who wants to cook, though: there is a little microwave, but that's it, not even a hot-plate.
Aimee S.Dec 2018
Perfect middle of nowhere place! We would definitely return.
Hannah G.Oct 2018
We loved the furnishings, the view was amazing, and access to our own beach.
Jim M.Oct 2018
Nice everything except unlighted hiway sign that only faces south.
Marsha K.Sep 2018
This was prefect for our beach trip. It was the most beautiful place and we enjoyed every minute of it.
Holly G.Aug 2018
We had a fantastic time!! The house fit our needs perfectly. The bed was comfortable and the property is beautiful.
The mostly private beach was magical! Our kids just ran and ran and my husband and I were able to relax. I will absolutely stay here again in the future.
Sean O.Aug 2018
Loved the grounds. Beach access is easy (if you can do stairs) and the beach is fantastic. Unit is nice if slightly under furnished especially in the kitchen as others have said. Not a place your going to want to do any cooking in. Bed was great. A little 101 noise but not bad. Overall great place.
Julie S.Aug 2018
Literally, a fantastic place for a couples get away! Huge shower, great king size bed, with confortable mattress, great pillows, good tv. New carpet, etc....
The 1 thing that you should be aware of....... the kitchen is tiny, no oven, & a mini fridge. We were not prepared for that, and had to get creative to make breakfast in a small toaster oven. (No pots/pans/etc). 1 microwave, 1 toaster oven.
Everything else, was awesome!!!!!
Sarah N.Apr 2018
We absolutely loved this location- you get the trees, the lawn, and the beach all in one place. It’s nice that it isn’t right in town. It’s just a short traveling distance to either Yachats or Florence. It was right along the highway, but there wasn’t much noise. The rental was cozy, but you still feel like you had your own space. The space has a well equipped kitchenette, and a small charcoal bbq in the lawn that was nice for grilling.
Cindy J.Mar 2018
Pros: This is a great place to stay. Bed was so comfortable, bathroom was awesome, living room view was spectacular and there is a private stairway to the beach. We truly enjoyed our time there. We plan to stay there again.
This duplex is located in a beautiful area of the coast. Hiking trails, lighthouse, sea lion cave, unique shops and restaurants all within a short drive. Great area to visit.
Cons: "Perfect for preparing small home cooked meals". This is the statement in the description. I did not find that to be true. You can re -heat a meal you bring or toast a sandwich/bread in the toaster oven. No pans of any kind, no hot plate, or can opener. There is a waffle iron and blender though for fixing things like that.
Even though a previous guest had reported 5 months before our visit, that the microwave flipped the power strip after 30 seconds, the problem had still not been fixed. This was quite frustrating since there was no other way to heat the meal I had prepared at home. This concerns me about the time it takes to fix a problem.
There isn't any pantry basics such as salt, pepper, coffee, creamer & sugar. Make sure you pack everything, plan to drive into town to buy staples or just plan to eat out. There are many choice places to eat within a 10-15 minute drive.
Summary: We will stay again! Loved the place.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The views were wonderful and having access to the beach was great! There were stairs all the way down which I didn't find nearly as intimidating as the description made it seem. I saw a 3 year old handle them just fine! It's a bummer the kitchenette is so bare. I didn't see a hotplate or any pots/pans when we stayed like someone mentioned but I could have missed it. It is a little difficult to find at first, but remember to check out the mile markers when you do so you know how to find it again!

The setting is superb. Walking on the huge expanse of private beach with only gulls and seabirds was a perfect Oregon Coast treat. The stairs down to the beach from this home's perch atop the landscaped bluff, are solidly built.
The location just minutes from Cape Perpetua and the town of Yachats is convenient. This duplex unit served as a perfect home base for me and my 11-year old daughter while we explored the rainforest, the dunes, the ocean's edge, and the solar eclipse. Close to pizza, but far from crowds :)
The home itself has been nicely updated. It felt clean and fresh. It is not cluttered nor does it feel tired or run-down. The kitchenette was fine for just us two. As my daughter and I were on a hybrid trip of half camping and half renting homes, we had everything we needed. I brought a hot plate, as the home's description indicated no stove or oven, and hat cooking pots, etc in our car camp kit.
The home has a smart tv and wifi, which were convenient, but we were out exploring most of the time.
My only recommendation would be for Vacasa to provide a more precise location of the laundry facilities. It was not obvious where the laundry was, as I drove in and out of the property, but I didn't need to do lame chores badly enough to walk up to the other 4 buildings to find it, either.

The unit was very clean, GREAT beach access, awesome views of the ocean from the yard below with chairs to sit in. There were outdoor BBQ's and picnic tables. The beach is pretty private, we really only saw a few people while down on the beach for a couple of hours. Found lots of nice agates and beautiful rocks.
The unit description was a little lacking and I'll admit I didn't really process what they listed. It is a duplex, our unit had 1 bedroom (with king bed) and a full bathroom with a shower, on the floor level. Upstairs has the kitchenette (that's the part that didn't process) and a half bath. The listing says two bedrooms and one bath. I'm not sure what they are calling a second bedroom since the second bed is a roll out that is in the closet by the kitchen. There is no stove and the fridge is a mini fridge. They do have a single hot plate, microwave, toaster oven and hot water pot to cook with. Unfortunately we discovered no pot or pan to cook with. We double checked the check-in email and it did list pots and pans, so we called Vacasa and they put in a ticket to get some to us. We finally received a small pot and pan the following afternoon. Things are very limited, not a single spice anywhere, so don't depend on someone else leaving any. There are only 4 of each utensil, dishes or cups. (Though there were 4 corkscrews!) There also aren't any cooking utensils, only tongs. Otherwise, the bed was comfortable, Roku and wifi worked well and though cell service is spotty, they have a landline you can use for local and long distance calls. The beach, access and view were a plus, we saw each sunset and listened to the waves at night.

Beautiful, private spot on a wooded beach. Lay in bed and listen to the waves. A true getaway spot. Enjoy, you deserve it!

A beautiful setting on a bluff overlooking an almost private beach. A very peaceful place for a quiet getaway.
