94288 Highway 101 , Yachats, OR 97439
Modern oceanfront duplex with bay windows, private deck, and sea views
Breathe in the scent of evergreens and ocean waves at this enchanting Yachats vacation home. Located on a bluff just a few hundred feet from the water, this lovely duplex offers wonderful views of the hypnotically blue Pacific, a private deck, and a recently remodeled and refurnished interior.
The rental is located on a quiet stretch of the Oregon Coast Highway that's perfect for anyone seeking a romantic getaway or simply an escape from the world. Downtown Yachats is about seven miles north, and you're also close to the spectacular headlands of Cape Perpetua (five miles) and easy beach access at Tenmile Creek.
You can walk down a steep path on the property to a secluded beach, though if the weather is damp or you're traveling with children we recommend driving to a nearby wayside for the safest access to the sand. If you'd rather stay close to home, relax on the outdoor swing and watch the sun set slowly into the Pacific. Keep an eye out for elk and bald eagles, too!
Back inside, stretch out on the couch and enjoy the natural light pouring in through the skylights and sliding door. The attached kitchenette is perfect for preparing small homemade meals and is equipped with a microwave, toaster oven, and waffle iron. Enjoy dining out on the deck, or pour yourselves a glass of wine and share an intimate dinner at the bar. When you're ready for bed, the king-size bed in the bedroom and a twin-size rollaway bed offer room for three guests.
Please note that while free WiFi is provided, the rental's remote location means the connection can be uneven at times, which makes this location ideal for spending some quality time with your special someone. You can also rent both halves of the duplex together if you're traveling with a larger group. Please call Vacasa for more information!

We loved the furnishings, the view was amazing, and access to our own beach.
Nice everything except unlighted hiway sign that only faces south.
This was prefect for our beach trip. It was the most beautiful place and we enjoyed every minute of it.
We had a fantastic time!! The house fit our needs perfectly. The bed was comfortable and the property is beautiful.
The mostly private beach was magical! Our kids just ran and ran and my husband and I were able to relax. I will absolutely stay here again in the future.
Loved the grounds. Beach access is easy (if you can do stairs) and the beach is fantastic. Unit is nice if slightly under furnished especially in the kitchen as others have said. Not a place your going to want to do any cooking in. Bed was great. A little 101 noise but not bad. Overall great place.
Literally, a fantastic place for a couples get away! Huge shower, great king size bed, with confortable mattress, great pillows, good tv. New carpet, etc....
The 1 thing that you should be aware of....... the kitchen is tiny, no oven, & a mini fridge. We were not prepared for that, and had to get creative to make breakfast in a small toaster oven. (No pots/pans/etc). 1 microwave, 1 toaster oven.
Everything else, was awesome!!!!!
We absolutely loved this location- you get the trees, the lawn, and the beach all in one place. It’s nice that it isn’t right in town. It’s just a short traveling distance to either Yachats or Florence. It was right along the highway, but there wasn’t much noise. The rental was cozy, but you still feel like you had your own space. The space has a well equipped kitchenette, and a small charcoal bbq in the lawn that was nice for grilling.
Pros: This is a great place to stay. Bed was so comfortable, bathroom was awesome, living room view was spectacular and there is a private stairway to the beach. We truly enjoyed our time there. We plan to stay there again.
This duplex is located in a beautiful area of the coast. Hiking trails, lighthouse, sea lion cave, unique shops and restaurants all within a short drive. Great area to visit.
Cons: "Perfect for preparing small home cooked meals". This is the statement in the description. I did not find that to be true. You can re -heat a meal you bring or toast a sandwich/bread in the toaster oven. No pans of any kind, no hot plate, or can opener. There is a waffle iron and blender though for fixing things like that.
Even though a previous guest had reported 5 months before our visit, that the microwave flipped the power strip after 30 seconds, the problem had still not been fixed. This was quite frustrating since there was no other way to heat the meal I had prepared at home. This concerns me about the time it takes to fix a problem.
There isn't any pantry basics such as salt, pepper, coffee, creamer & sugar. Make sure you pack everything, plan to drive into town to buy staples or just plan to eat out. There are many choice places to eat within a 10-15 minute drive.
Summary: We will stay again! Loved the place.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The views were wonderful and having access to the beach was great! There were stairs all the way down which I didn't find nearly as intimidating as the description made it seem. I saw a 3 year old handle them just fine! It's a bummer the kitchenette is so bare. I didn't see a hotplate or any pots/pans when we stayed like someone mentioned but I could have missed it. It is a little difficult to find at first, but remember to check out the mile markers when you do so you know how to find it again!
The setting is superb. Walking on the huge expanse of private beach with only gulls and seabirds was a perfect Oregon Coast treat. The stairs down to the beach from this home's perch atop the landscaped bluff, are solidly built.
The location just minutes from Cape Perpetua and the town of Yachats is convenient. This duplex unit served as a perfect home base for me and my 11-year old daughter while we explored the rainforest, the dunes, the ocean's edge, and the solar eclipse. Close to pizza, but far from crowds :)
The home itself has been nicely updated. It felt clean and fresh. It is not cluttered nor does it feel tired or run-down. The kitchenette was fine for just us two. As my daughter and I were on a hybrid trip of half camping and half renting homes, we had everything we needed. I brought a hot plate, as the home's description indicated no stove or oven, and hat cooking pots, etc in our car camp kit.
The home has a smart tv and wifi, which were convenient, but we were out exploring most of the time.
My only recommendation would be for Vacasa to provide a more precise location of the laundry facilities. It was not obvious where the laundry was, as I drove in and out of the property, but I didn't need to do lame chores badly enough to walk up to the other 4 buildings to find it, either.
The unit was very clean, GREAT beach access, awesome views of the ocean from the yard below with chairs to sit in. There were outdoor BBQ's and picnic tables. The beach is pretty private, we really only saw a few people while down on the beach for a couple of hours. Found lots of nice agates and beautiful rocks.
The unit description was a little lacking and I'll admit I didn't really process what they listed. It is a duplex, our unit had 1 bedroom (with king bed) and a full bathroom with a shower, on the floor level. Upstairs has the kitchenette (that's the part that didn't process) and a half bath. The listing says two bedrooms and one bath. I'm not sure what they are calling a second bedroom since the second bed is a roll out that is in the closet by the kitchen. There is no stove and the fridge is a mini fridge. They do have a single hot plate, microwave, toaster oven and hot water pot to cook with. Unfortunately we discovered no pot or pan to cook with. We double checked the check-in email and it did list pots and pans, so we called Vacasa and they put in a ticket to get some to us. We finally received a small pot and pan the following afternoon. Things are very limited, not a single spice anywhere, so don't depend on someone else leaving any. There are only 4 of each utensil, dishes or cups. (Though there were 4 corkscrews!) There also aren't any cooking utensils, only tongs. Otherwise, the bed was comfortable, Roku and wifi worked well and though cell service is spotty, they have a landline you can use for local and long distance calls. The beach, access and view were a plus, we saw each sunset and listened to the waves at night.
Beautiful, private spot on a wooded beach. Lay in bed and listen to the waves. A true getaway spot. Enjoy, you deserve it!
A beautiful setting on a bluff overlooking an almost private beach. A very peaceful place for a quiet getaway.
