Mountain views, nearby skiing, and a shared hot tub await from this great condo

Location, location, location - this three bedroom Ketchum vacation condo definitely has it! From here, it's only a five- to 10-minute walk to the ski lifts and gondola at Mt. Baldy. Totally remodeled in 2012, this stylish and contemporary space makes a great home base for exploring the Idaho mountains.

Upon entering, you'll find the main floor with an open living room, dining area, and kitchen. On cold winter nights, you'll want get comfortable on the big comfy couch and warm up in front of the beautiful gas fireplace. Maybe watch cable on the large flat screen TV. After a day on the slopes or walking around and exploring downtown Ketchum, lay out a bunch of snacks on the glass coffee table and have a cozy night in, enjoying the room's original nautical accents from the Pacific Northwest, skylights, and surround-sound stereo.

In the full kitchen, you'll have access to all the major appliances you'd expect, including a Bosch dishwasher, stainless steel appliances (including a gas range with griddle attachment), knotty alder cabinets, and beautiful granite slab counters. Creating everything from holiday feasts to a big pot of chili to a hearty pancake breakfast before a long day of hiking is no problem here! And when it's time to eat, the kitchen island is a wooden butcher block, with bar stools for casual seating.

Right off the living room is a small deck with a gas grill for fixing up burgers, chicken, or whatever you're in the mood for. From this level of the condo there's not much of a view, but the deck is still nice for enjoying the crisp mountain air or having a glass of wine outside after dinner.

Also on this level is a master bedroom with a queen sized bed, luxurious radiant floor heat, and a master bathroom with double sinks and a soaking tub. On this level there is also a half bath and a stackable washer and dryer set for keeping everyone's vacation clothes all warm and dry.

When you head upstairs, you'll pass by the wood barn siding covered wall, referred to as the "Wyoming Snow Fence" by the condo's owner. One bedroom on this upper level has a California king bed and a very nice view of the ski hill. In the other bedroom, you'll find a sofa bed - this condo will sleep six guests comfortably.

In the complex, there's an outdoor shared hot tub but the real star here is the proximity to all that's happening in this charming resort community. After a short stroll, you'll be right at the ski lifts at Bald Mountain and ready for action. At the gorgeous River Run Day Lodge, have lunch or a cocktail after a day on the slopes, or do a little shopping at the Brass Ranch - featuring one of the largest collections of European and American ski and sportswear to peruse. During the lively ski season, there is also a band playing during specific dates. And if you want to mix it up a bit, the ski lifts at Dollar Mountain are less than a 10 minute drive away.

In the summer, you can take the gondola or hike up Mt Baldy and hike or ride down, all the while enjoying stunning mountain views. The Roundhouse, mid-way up the mountain where the gondola stops, is also open in the summer for lunch with an amazing view. Fishing fans will want to head to the Big Wood River for a chance at catching rainbow and cut-bow trout. Just at the base of the River Run area, this fly fishing spot is an easy five to 10 minute walk away.

Also right near the condo, there's a bus stop that will take you right to the center of downtown Ketchum - of course, it's also just a 10 minute walk to the center of town if you'd rather get a little bit of exercise. From here there's movie theaters, museums, shopping, and restaurants to explore. Also year-round, the Ketchum and Sun Valley region has its share of special events - in January there's the Sun Valley Nordic Festival, the Sun Valley Film Festival in May, the Arts and Crafts Festival in August, and Ketchum's unique Trailing of the Sheep Festival every October.

No matter when you visit sunny Ketchum and Idaho's mountains, you'll enjoy resort town hospitality, great skiing, fishing, hiking, and a comfortable, home-away-from-home at this lovely three bedroom condo.

Overall, the place was clean and met our needs for space requirements. However, this rental is HOT. The average temperature indoors in the afternoon/evenings (3PM-10PM) is 75-80ish degrees. This unit is west-facing and has no AC so it gets really hot every afternoon. The property manager brought us 4 fans the day after we arrived because the condo was in the mid 80s until about 3AM so our first night was terrible. The fans helped, however, we spent about 15 minutes every morning and evening (for 10 nights) moving the fans to different doors and windows in an effort to cool the place down enough for us to sleep. There are 3 skylights in the unit, none of which have a cover, so the skylights add to the immense afternoon heat. One of the skylights is in a bedroom making it impossible to go to sleep before 10PM unless you are able to do so with the "lights on." If none of this bothers you, then this is the place for you. It was not the place for us, and unfortunately put a damper on our vacation. I do not typically leave reviews but did not want this experience to happen to another family.

It was very clean and I loved the location and how new it was. Only complaint was that internet didn't work.
Manager response:
We appreciate the guest's feedback. The internet modem was having issues and has since been replaced. We have refunded this guest for the loss of amenity and we do apologize.

We really loved the home. It was well appointed and well kept! Loved the location and ease of getting to downtown restaurants etc. Only issue we had was with WiFi not being reliable.

House was very clean, and in a perfect location to walk to the mountain, along with downtown.

We loved the location--only one snowboarder in our group but it was convenient to drop him off at River Run and walk to meet him for lunch/drinks later. Comfortable for a group of five (four adults, one preteen). The house had everything we needed, plenty of kitchen basics.

We enjoyed our stay here. Very nice accommodations.
The scenery was spectacular.

Came to Ketchum for a Nordic training camp and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this bright, clean condo. Kitchen was well stocked, neighborhood was quiet, and we were within walking distance of downtown Ketchum. Will definitely come back to this condo!

For the price we paid, we were disappointed by the size and the furnishings. The condo does sleep six, however fitting six people comfortably in the living space is challenging. The dining table is up against a wall and is small, no way to comfortably fit more than four around it. The kitchen island has two stools and two chairs, so four people could sit there. The couch seats two or three, and there is one extra chair in the living room.

The place is tidy but it definitely feels as if the owners don't stay there or give it much attention. The two coffee makers I tried didn't work correctly, there weren't sponges, and there wasn't enough detergent for the washer. The radiant heating didn't work correctly in the living room.

Great location if you want to ski, though. You can walk to the River Run lifts in about 10 minutes.
Manager response:
We apologize for the inconveniences experienced. We have asked that the radiant heating be left on if guests will be arriving within 48 hours as we do understand it takes some time for the heating to be fully effective. We will also be lowering the maximum occupancy as we also understand this unit can be a tight squeeze. We hope this guest still had a delightful experience in the area.

Great location and nicely appointed! Ketchum is an awesome getaway. Wi-fi signal a bit weak.

This condo is located in the River Run area, a short walk to the River Run lift. Although it is advertised as a 3 BR condo, it would be crowded with more than 4 guests. The third bedroom is quite small, and only has a sleeper sofa.

Great location. Clean and has everything you need- will stay again next time we are in town.

This was a perfect spot for our family of 5. Clean / well maintained property that was walking distance to everything in Ketchum (restaurants, shops and ski slopes).

Great location to River Run Lodge, clean, nice bathrooms and updated kitchen. Just needs more comfortable bedding and seating.

It was overall a good place to stay. If I were to get it again though I would only have 2 people. The living room was less than comfortable with 4 people. I couldn't imagine if there were 6 people trying to stay there. The remodel was great. The internet sucked. I was there for work and play and I had to hotspot my phone a number of times because the internet stopped working often. Overall though the place is worth the stay.

This was a great vacation stay! We enjoyed every moment. Ketchum is beautiful! The property we stayed at was awesome. Could not have asked for more. Highly recommend it!

The plumbing fixtures and appliances were first class. Location is great, with a View of Baldy from the master bedroom. Bus service was convienient.
Cable needs an upgrade. I couldn't watch my Buckeyes beat Alabama.
Hot tub is new and inviting after a day on the slopes.
Coffee table top wobbles. Sofa needs an upgrade. Quiet neighbors. Great value.

This condo was either new or totally renovated, and quite nice - much nicer than the photos. The location is great - easy walking distance to downtown Ketchum, and the building is directly next to the River Run parking lot - I don't think you can stay any closer to the lifts.

This is a lovely condo located near skiing and down town. We appreciated the location as well as the size of the home. It was perfect for our group! It has a lot of charm but with a modern kitchen. I would recommend updating the couch, since it seemed pretty old. The king bed was also very firm, maybe add a softer mattress pad as an option for guests who don't like a hard mattress.

My family and I really enjoyed the property and the location to everything was perfect. Wonderful place to stay. My kids had a wonderful time and we were able to relax and really enjoy our stay.

The condo was great! Its location couldn't have been better. It's literally down the road from Mt. Baldy and very close to Dollar Mountain. We became quickly familiar with the town of Ketchum and easily found our way back to the condo just by following Sun Valley Road. The heated floors were a welcomed feature in the early mornings. The kitchen has a few pans and one pot. There is a waffle maker, coffee maker, toaster and blender. We really had a lovely time and will absolutely stay here again.
