This property is located in a secluded community which was just the ticket for a weekend getaway

Great place to stay! We originally planned to take our kayaks, but a mostly cloudy weather forecast and the purchase of a new car that was not equipped to haul them made us change our mind. We regretted it. It was sunny and beautiful much more than anticipated and we would have been on the water almost every day. The beach off the deck is perfect for putting in and since it is a bay, the water was mostly calm. Lots to do all over the island. Shops, great restaurants, hiking. Went to a great little local theater in Langley (The Clyde). Great for people who have a hard time unplugging and slowing down.

This place was great for our family! We have two kids who love the bunk beds and playing on the beach. That really is the biggest draw!! There is no AC (pretty standard for most houses like this) but with the many fans we were comfortable. This was our second time visiting and we were pleased to see they upgraded the fridge, outdoor blinds and put bed bars on the top bunks. Can’t wait to visit again!

This is a cute little cabin with many sleeping spaces. A great view and good place to stay while experiencing the attractions of south Whidbey Island.

Wow! Thank you for opening your home. 🤓 The Sandy Hook community is a safe, quiet place to be. The property was super clean and maintained, and my grand kids had a BLAST! We hope to return again.
One comment why no 5 star rating: the two bunk rooms were cute, but the kids were not keen on sleeping without a rail so high up, and as a result, the adults beds were full of sprawled out kiddos. 😂

Fabulous view, walk on the beach from the deck. Bedroom situation was just ok. Not what you think of when they mention 3 bedrooms. I am 6'1" and 260lbs. The bunk bed was tight. Our daughter and infant were in the queen bed. Husband on the futon in the living room. Grandma in the other bunk room. Yet every one slept ok.
Tons of towels. Good pillows.
Cable tv was lame...a dedicated Bayview channel? Bed prepared to log in with netflix, Disney, or youtube TV
The place was clean. And spacious common areas. Might be fun in a storm if you can sleep.

Can’t beat the view, from bald eagles to deer roaming the neighborhood, from the tides flowing in and out to the Olympics majesty.... it is all here.
The house is cozy, although a little chilly till we got the wood stove cranking. Everything was adequately appointed, a bit beach kitschy for my taste. We had a great stay. Thanks!

The house itself was just “fine” - beautiful location on the water but inside was definitely lacking. The bed/mattress was so uncomfortable and the frame rolled every time you moved. There was no dishwasher liquid and it seemed the kitchen hadn’t been cleaned in a LONG time. There was a tiny couch/loveseat in the living room (not big enough for two adults to sit together) and separate seating area had a futon which had some questionable-looking stains on it. There was a keurig but no coffee pods to use with it.
Manager response:
Hi, Ashley! We are sorry to read you were disappointed with some aspects of your accommodations. The bed used to be on carpet, so we will be sure to get a locking frame to prevent it from rolling on the new, laminate flooring. We apologize for any oversights in the kitchen; dishwasher tabs have been restocked, and the kitchen has been thoroughly cleaned. We will schedule a professional cleaning for the wine stain on the futon as soon as possible. Thank you for staying with us!
