Spacious condo ski-in/ski-out at Navajo & dog-friendly!

This lovely Brian Head vacation rental is a great place to stay with the family during your ski getaway! Featuring a location right in the middle of town and a spacious interior, this quiet and private condo will keep you comfortable while you're away from your own home.

Ski-in/ski-out to the lift at Navajo, this condo offers a great location for exploring the Brian Head Resort area, which also includes a small market, a restaurant, and a lodge.

Step inside your temporary home and you will notice the clean and cozy interior. This one-bedroom (plus loft), one-bathroom condo is spacious enough that up to seven guests may stay here.

On the ground level, just past the entryway is a mud room that is great for taking off any wet, snowy shoes before entering the main house. The many south-facing windows let it plenty of sunshine to keep the living area bright. In the living room you will find comfortable seating, plus a wonderfully cozy wood stove to banish those wintery chills. There's no WiFi, so enjoy the rare solitude!

A full kitchen has just about all the tools and appliances you may need during your stay. Go ahead and cook up a nice, hot breakfast for everyone to enjoy together before heading out for the day!

Up half a flight of stairs are the spacious master bedroom and a full bathroom. The bedroom has a queen-size bed where you will sleep soundly. Walk up another half flight of stairs to reach the loft, which would be a perfect place for any children to stay. Featuring a twin-over-full bunk bed, plenty of floor space to spread out on, and an attached nook that serves as a play room, younger guests will love this space! Two dogs may join you for an additional nightly fee.

Outside, you will have your own private deck (complete with a gas grill!) to enjoy the scenery. In the winter this would be a great, safe place for children to build snowmen or play with the snow that collects on the deck. During the warmer months, you may enjoy sitting out here with a cup of coffee and breathing in the fresh mountain air.

Within Brian Head you will find plenty to keep everyone busy. Many of the ski areas are very family-friendly, and offer tubing and sledding areas, as well as flat areas to have an impromptu snowball fight. This area is extremely popular with fans of snow sports, who flock here for the 360-inches of yearly snowfall.

During the warmer months, you and your guests will also have ample activities to keep you occupied! Hike or bike around Brian Head Resort, rent an ATV, visit a nearby stream or lake for some fishing. Take a scenic ski lift ride, zip line, or take the kids to the rock climbing wall at the resort. Drive to a nearby national park (Zion National Park is just 1.5 hours away) and surround yourself with the beauty of nature!

Brian Head has a few restaurants and a small market for groceries, though if you find yourself wanting more options, drive north about 13 miles to Parowan, or go 32 miles to the even larger Cedar City, where you will find ample dining, shopping, and entertainment options.

With close proximity to the slopes, cozy interior, and a loft area that children will love, bring the whole family to this comfortable and quiet Southern Utah vacation rental and experience a wonderful trip to Brian Head!

We had the coldest welcome due to 9F temps during the day. I don't know what it was like at night because we were very cozy and warm. The snow conditions were great and the kids camp (book in advance!) was amazing at Navajo lodge. We were introduced to tubing. Which we will definitely do again!
Recommend Brian Head for families. Great experience and everyone very friendly and helpful.

We have stayed at the Moose Hideaway 5 times. It is a nice little place for 2-4 adults. It is old but nice and close to the slopes so we keep coming back. The main complaint we have is that the place is not very large and Vacasa charges $90 for a "cleaning fee". I am 65 years old and could clean the entire place including vacuuming the carpet, making the beds, dusting, cleaning the bathroom, kitchen, cleaning the mud room and deck in less than an hour. Way too much money for such a small place.
So, if you don't mind a bathroom exhaust fan that hasn't worked in over a year and a ridiculous cleaning fee, this place is for you!

    Manager Response:

We are sorry to see that you are a bit disappointed with our services. The Property Manager will discuss the bathroom fan with the owner, and we hope that you enjoyed having a break from cleaning during your stay with us!

I love how cozy the cabin is. The wood paneling, the view from every window is just amazing. My family and I felt very comfortable in the cabin. It's very close to the Navajo lifts so that's a plus. Even if it's only one bed one bath, it has a lot of space! It has everything you need to have a comfortable stay!
Downside is it needs some work, first the water heater wasn't working when we checked in so we had to take cold showers when the temperature is 6 degrees outside. Someone was supposed to fix it the next day, but I had to call 3 times before somebody came and fix it at 3pm the next day. The kitchen light goes on and off so sometimes we have to eat in the dark. A lot of other light bulbs are not working around the house as well. The sofa bed needs replacing as well, I'm 105 lbs and when I sat on it, I sank in. And the most difficult part is the driveway! We have snow chains on but the snow was so bad our car filled with luggages was just getting stuck in snow. I called if they can plow the driveway, they said somebody will but at 5 nobody showed up so we had to park our car all the way at the bottom of the hill and carry all our stuff to the cabin. They usually plow the driveway in the morning, so at 9am my brother took the car and brought it up. We did the same thing upon checking out, we checked out early just after they plowed the driveway to make sure we don't slide down or get stuck in snow.
Overall, we still had a wonderful time! I will still book with vacasa for our next vacation!

    Manager Response:

Thank you for sharing your review. We apologize that the hot water was not working properly upon your arrival and that the driveway was an issue. The Property Manager has ordered a part for the kitchen light and will take care of it as soon as the part arrives. Thank you!

Small place, very little room to eat and store groceries. Comfortable for 2 people for sure, 4 would be ok.

    Manager Response:

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are disappointed to see that you felt the home was so small. The home has sleeping space for up to 7 and is a great spot to use as a home base while exploring the Brian Head area.

We've stayed here twice so far this winter - this cabin is perfect for recharging between days on the mountain. If you're looking for a posh, modern retreat this is NOT the cabin for you. But, it's a great functional property with all the living essentials included! There's a nice deck area with a BBQ. The location is more secluded than other Brian Head options (next to the Navajo Mtn) but I actually prefer to be out of the hustle and bustle of the main lodge area. I'd say you could comfortably sleep 6-7 people here but keep in mind there's only one bathroom/shower. The driveway is very steep and could cause issues in bad weather. Finally, bring your own firewood as the cabin's stock has already ran out.

Location was great, very short walk to ski in to Navajo. Pictures showed full stock of wood, but guest book said buy your own. One roll of TP. Lots of dog hair.

    Manager Response:

Thank you for this review! We are sorry for the dog hair and confusion on this home not providing wood. We are glad that these problem didn't affect your overall enjoyment of your stay.

My friend and I enjoyed the cabin. It was clean and cozy and the dogs loved it! The only downside was we were not told how long and steep the driveway was. It was iced over and required chains or snow tires. We could not drive up it and had to park at the lodge and pack all our stuff up from the bottom of the hill. Don't expect to get up this drive way with normal city tires.
