We loved it all!!!!! The house is well laid out. We enjoyed both the sound and gulf side with a short walk to both or sitting on the front or back porches. The kids enjoyed bike riding the island and hanging out on the porch or setting up their hammocks underneath and just being teens. The kitchen, dining room and living room are all right there so you can enjoy each other at the same time and never miss a conversation.
Thank y’all so much. We will be back.
Our group of 7 adults and 2 children spent the week at Summer Breeze and were very pleased with the house. It was large enough to give us all some space of our own, yet the main living area accommodated us all as well. We were able to eat each meal together, either at the dining table or on the deck facing the bay. We had one small problem with a smoke detector that needed a new battery and the management company was very responsive.
I had tried ahead of the trip to determine what was exactly in the house that we would not have to bring but found it hard to get that information for that particular house. (So, yes there's a Keurig, a baby gate, grill tools, wagon to haul gear to the beach, and cookie sheets.) If I went again, I'd bring cheap vinyl tablecloths for the two wooden picnic tables, and a couple of old quilts to throw over the benches.
The view of the bay and the bridge from the back porch is calming, and the ocean is about 100 yards away across the street. We founding birding from the back of the house along the bay shore to be rewarding.
The bathrooms were especially clean and well maintained, and the bedding was clean and comfy, and I'm picky about that. I also never go barefooted in rental homes, but felt fine on these floors, which were well maintained and clean.
We were on the island to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday, so we made our own meals and made our own fun. Day trips to Fairhope, Pascagoula, Mobile, Gulf Shores/Ft Morgan. Though not the management's fault at all, there's a very limited supply of restaurants on the island and an even smaller possibility to buy groceries. We knew that ahead of time and hauled in everything we needed, stopping in Mobile for the last perishables. Just be aware.
We will probably not return, but not because we were displeased. We like to explore new territory and now we've covered lower Alabama pretty thoroughly.
Our family vacation to a new location the week of thanksgiving. What a wonderful house. The pictures online is what you see in person too. Well stocked kitchen. Views were amazing from both sides.
My family of 11 stayed at Summer Breeze for 7 nights. Great location and the staff was so helpful and friendly. The house had 2 carts to hall things to the beach which was a life saver. 8 adults and 3 kids fit perfectly. Any more adults would have made things a bit tight.
The house was immaculate, clean and modern. The view was great. Huge bedrooms, plenty of space throughout for entertaining. We will definitely be back!
This island is perfect for little ones and adults! Its quiet and peaceful. Didn't have to worry about finding a spot on the beach nor losing one of the little ones like you would on a big public beach. Everyone on the island was very nice. Its close enough to orange beach that the older ones took the ferry acrosd for parasailing. The house was fantastic! The upstairs loft was perfect for all the kids while the adults were all able to have their own bedroom. We will definitely be coming back!
Perfect location for young and old. Private beach on the sound allowed for fun in quiet waters and a very short walk out us in the gulf waters. House easily accommodated 14 ranging in age from 1 to 65.
Our family of 14 had a very good time. The house was very clean. We arrived after Tropical Strom Cindy. Roads were still flooded. Some maintenance issues with the house. Turn in a list of things to fix. It was nice to be close to the water on the Bay side and the Gulf side.
The house is beautiful, well maintained, very clean. It rained every day we were there, but the property and the island are so magnificent it did not matter, we had a great time anyway.
A relaxing week at Dauphine Island Alabama. Plenty of room for the whole family and the kids loved the loft with two queen beds, TV, and bunk beds. Great access to the bay and easy walk across the street to the Gulf side.
We really enjoyed this beautiful place. Out grown children were able to come and go when they could. We really enjoyed the porch. Exceptionally clean. Provided everything we needed. Thanks for the great memories
Loved the four bedrooms and the loft
Kids loved the beach.
The house was wonderul. It was very comfortable and very clean. It's on the sound side so it's very quiet. The beach is just a few steps away. The area is very dog friendly and our "girls" had a great time. The house was better than advertised and we can't wait to return.
