The view, balcony, and quick access to the beach were great, but the room itself (and perhaps the Atlantic Hotel in general) needs updating. No outlets in the bathroom worked, the ice maker didn’t work, the shower made an awful sound at certain water temperatures, some lighting features didn’t work, the carpet was old and ripped in a couple places, the bed was lumpy, the furniture was old and worn, a vent near the closet leaked water, there were no USB connections, and the tv didn’t have modern streaming apps or allow Bluetooth connection to other devices. Moreover, you have to schedule and pay separately for housekeeping and other standard hotel amenities when staying in this “private booking.” Finally, the hotel itself seemed under-staffed and it often took a long time to get any service.
