Oceanfront, Dog-Friendly Home just Steps from the Beach w/Free WiFi & Fireplace
This beautiful oceanfront Waldport vacation rental is right next to the beach and features a dog-friendly attitude and all the comforts of home. There's no better place to plan your next fun-filled beach getaway.
Tthis home has access to a spectacular stretch of sand in Waldport just on the north side of the Alsea River. The beach is a short 50 feet away (via a somewhat hilly path), and around town you will find plenty of restaurants, some shops, and great crabbing, clamming, and fishing opportunities.
Colorful and modern, the interior of this home has pops of bright colors that will put you in the mood to have fun! Ample sunlight streams in through skylights and large windows, creating a homey feel.
Inside, walk over to the living room to find enormous windows that offer jaw-dropping views of the nearby ocean. Have a seat on the chairs or sofa and get a fire going in the wood-burning fireplace, then turn on the TV and watch some cable programming. While you're here you will also have a DVD player, WiFi access, and board games to keep you busy when you're not out walking on the beach.
A full kitchen is decorated with exotic blue tiles and features everything the chef in your group may need to prepare culinary delights. There is plenty of space for everyone at the dining room table. Just past the kitchen are a laundry room and a bathroom.
When it's time to head to bed, you and your guests will have plenty of comfortable places to rest. Two rooms have soft and warm queen-size beds, one has a full-size bed, and there's even a cozy sleeping area with two twin beds that would be a great place for children to sleep. There is another shared full bathroom, and the master bathroom features a gorgeous jetted bathtub and a spacious shower.
All in all, up to eight guests will be perfectly comfortable here. You're even welcome to bring up to two dogs with you, though please note that an additional nightly fee will apply. But with so much space and such close beach access, you will surely want to bring your loved ones and dogs to enjoy this wonderful home.
Downstairs there is even a room with a Ping-Pong table that will delight any young (or young-at-heart) guests! The back deck leads directly to the beach, so you can spend as much time enjoying the sand and surf as possible.
In lovely Waldport you will find just about everything you may need to have a fantastic time. There is a grocery store where you can stock up on supplies, some shops to explore, and some great restaurants (be sure to try the breakfast platters at Carol's Cafe!). The Alsea River runs right through town, and you can use the Alsea Bay dock to launch your boat and go fishing or crabbing, though you can also try dock crabbing right from the shore or go clamming during low tide.
Around this stretch of the Central Coast there are plenty of fantastic ways to stay busy. Make sure to drive about 15 minutes south of Waldport to Cape Perpetua for some absolutely breathtaking views of the ocean. Keep driving south just a few minutes to reach the scenic Heceta Head Lighthouse. If you head north from Waldport about 20 minutes you will reach the larger Newport, which offers a famous aquarium, plenty of fabulous restaurants, shopping, and much more.
However you spend your visit, this oceanfront, dog-friendly, modern Central Oregon Coast vacation rental will ensure you have a fantastic stay! A damage waiver, covering up to $2,000 of accidental damage to the property or its contents, is included in the cost of your reservation.

We loved the view and closeness of the ocean. It was a very roomy, comfortable home for the 7 people in our group. Our dogs loved running on the beach, as there were very people on the beach.
Joan A.Jul 2021
The house layout was perfect for us. The bedrooms were far enough apart to give us all a lot of personal space which was appreciated by all. The pool table was a great bonus for the kids and my adult nephew too.
My only complaint was the bedroom blinds were either too short to fit the window, hard to raise and lower or broken. All need to be looked at and fixed or replaced. Also the lower front panel of the oven (one build into the counter). It was raped in several places so I don’t think it is a new problem.
Thanks for a wonderful stay,
Jon G.Jun 2021
We absolutely loved this place, perfect size for our family,It's right on the beach after a Lil hill. They have everything you need.Towels, dish&laundry soap.extra tp,paper towels. All the dishes & utensils needed.Just bring yourselves and food!! Beautiful house and view. Seating on the deck.We highly recommend.

We had two families totally seven people and two dogs and there was plenty of room for all us. The beach is a short walk over the sand dunes, as advertised. Plenty of towels and the kitchen was well-stocked with dishes and utensils. The TV is in a clunky location for how the furniture is arranged, but we didn't watch much TV. Where we were let down was on several fronts: 1. Blinds/window coverings were missing from the master bedroom and the larger queen room. This was especially problematic as without blinds, the neighbors have a direct view into the queen room from their lovely bay window in their kitchen. 2. The stove was lacking in power to cook. The flat-top side eventually heated up to boil water for pasta or cook eggs/pancakes, but the coils on the other side were quite grungy and didn't get red hot like they should when set on high. 3. Not sure what the deal was with the microwave. The entire fan exhaust cover was missing and there were a couple of large chunks broken off of the plastic door/handle. You'd have to literally hit the machine with something and with substantial force to have chunks come off. So our confidence that the machine was safe and working properly was not very high. 4. The shower door in the bathroom off the laundry room was off-kilter and didn't close all the way. Not a big deal for an adult to lift up on the handle to get it to close, but a big deal for children. 5. The wi-fi was somewhat temperamental and the router needed to be rebooted several times. Not sure if it is designed to really handle 6+ devices all connected at the same time. We didn't use the pool table in the basement area, but we did empty the water tank from the dehumidifier as instructed so as to be good stewards of house. Our expectations for an issue-free stay are pretty high when paying a nightly rate the equivalent of a deluxe resort on property at Disney World.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, Garrett . We strive for a standard of excellence in ensuring the home is clean and accommodating for our guests. If there are any concerns or areas in need of additional attention, we hope to be notified so we can make sure any issues are addressed. We look forward to hosting you for a great stay in the future.

Gorgeous site and beach access !!!

1. For whatever reason this house is available, thank you from the bottom of my weary soul.
2. The neighborhood signs against vacation rentals are a bit NIMBY.
Idk what makes that local economy tick but I guess these people don't need it.
Modest folks need the healing powers of the beach too.
3. Critics: There are little spots here and there where the walls meet or the beams show a little wear from water but this house is literally IN the sand, the ocean is brutal and wears everything down, even the grouches.
4. Loved the hilly dune walk to the beach if you so choose it, it did my legs some good!
5. Privacy. Each room/bath area feels private.
6. Stocked Kitchen.
7. CLEAN BEACH. Bigs shards of larger mussel shells, sand dollars, etc. Large Bull Kelp with bulbs, sparse but nice to pick up and chase someone with.
8. WiFi worked great, no issues with appliances, no issues with cleanliness.
9. Front door Key is a bit weird because you have to turn in a bit more than normal.

Quiet. Nice walk to the beach.
Mike P.Jan 2021
Heater in master bath doesn't work, all the blinds in every room are terrible don't work at all. Not a huge problem unless you have kids. I had to hang towels over the windows in the bedrooms that my girls were in. Cleaning crew forgot to empty the garbage otherwise house was clean and as advertised. My family had a great time, beach is just a short walk right out the back of the house.
Thank you for your review, Mike. The property manager is working on getting the master bath heater and broken blinds repaired. We hope to see you again!
Rachel K.Nov 2020
This is a great home to nestle into while enjoying the Oregon Coast! Good amenities, comfy beds, pet friendly and a good place to gather. The short walk over the dunes adds to the awe.... and the beach is much quieter than others along the coast!
Mary R.Oct 2020
We loved the cleanliness, the Windows the comfort, the kitchen.
Brian D.Oct 2020
very nice home.
David J.Sep 2020
Three old folks enjoyed a couple of days at the beach.
Rebecca H.Aug 2020
Walk to the beach, swings, tennis court and pickleball court. Food store near by. Loved the King sized bed.
Ian D.Jul 2020
The house was perfect for the size of our party. We had rooms for everyone, and there was ample space in the living room for everyone to spread out. The deck was great for afternoon sun, and access to the beach was a simple 30 yards at best over a pair of dunes. The billiard table was a great bonus, several of us play.
Eric F.Jul 2020
The house is exactly as described and worked out perfectly for our family. It has a nice layout with 2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms on one side and 2bedrooms/1 bathroom on the other. Nice beach access to a very large and open beach which we practically had all to ourselves. Comfortable beds and furniture. We would love to return.
Melody R.Jul 2020
Comfy king bed in master suite, roomy bathroom too. Other bedrooms and bathrooms well positioned for privacy and use. Great dining table seats all guests. Kitchen fairly well outfitted with basics and beyond. Beach access easy walk.
Sharon M.Jun 2020
Nice home. Bright and airy. Good layout.
MICHAEL H.Mar 2020
This was our second time staying here. With 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms it accommodated our family gathering quite well. Love the house and its very close location to the beach.
Jon G.Jan 2020
Enjoyed the house. Better than we expected. I wish they defined the recycling better and fire wood would have been nice to have. Wish in the description of the house that the overhead deck was not an option for renters to use.
Jane A.Dec 2019
Right on beach and a few minutes from town. Great house with comfy beds and great kitchen
Nicole M.Dec 2019
We loved cooking in the open kitchen with the huge island counter space. The layout of this home was perfect for us. The beds were all firm and comfortable. The couch was huge and fit the whole family; as was the newer dinning room table! It was so clean and bright! My adult kiddos loved the nostalgic CD selection. Great location between Yachats and Newport. Not much of a beach view, but we were aware there wouldn’t be. Definitely not a deal breaker. It’s a short walk over 2 sand berms to the beach. There were 4 rooms where the heaters didn’t work. We visited in December so it was cold. We turned up living room and bathroom heaters and slept with bedroom doors open. Also the basement room that the pool table was in smelled of chemicals. It was so bad that we never got to enjoy the pool table. I called the maintenance person, who got back to me on Monday after we were already home. I think that if these minor issues were corrected, this house is so great! We would definitely recommend it and stay there again ourselves!
Hi, Nicole! We apologize for any unpleasant odors you encountered in the home and any discomfort caused by the heating. We are in the process of replacing the broken bathroom heaters. Thank you!
Rachelle B.Nov 2019
Great location, layout of house was perfect for our group! (6 Adults(22-85) 2 kids) Kitchen was well stocked. Furniture was comfortable. A little wear on cupboards and fixtures, but you could relax and not worry about every little thing, the young adults were “bummed” the upper deck was un-accessible to renters. Will definitely keep the on the list of go to homes ! Thanks
Linda G.Jun 2019
Plenty of room for all in the family to have a grand time at the Oregon coast. Beautifully decorated and all enjoyed a rousing pool tournament in the pool room. Great access to the clean and huge beach for walking and nightly bonfires. Close to Newport where there are lots of art galleries and the Marine Science Center which is a must see.
Nina B.Apr 2019
House was a dream. Totally a happy house to stay in. Could see the waves roll in from the house.
Michelle E.Apr 2019
Loved the layout of this house, with 2 bedrooms on one side, and two bedrooms on the other. The view is spectacular and the wrap around deck is so fun to entertain on!
Laura N.Mar 2019
The house was great, weather not so much but we enjoyed the beach anyway. Everything that we needed was provided, we had room for everyone and the kids loved doing the puzzles we found in the closet. The TV was in a bit of an odd location, it is not convenient to watch from the couch, but we managed!
Joanne G.Jan 2019
What a wonderful place. We spent five days in the beach house on the Oregon coast in January. What a pleasure to read in front of a roaring fire or play cards with family.
Long walks on spacious beaches looking for sand dollars and enjoying the surf. The views are beautiful and the sound of the surf is the last thing you hear at night.
We spent our days hiking through state parks, visiting a beautiful lighthouse, and exploring the coastal restaurants. The aquarium is really fun and I highly recommend the crab shack.
The home has lots of space and cooking meals in the very well equipped kitchen was a pleasure.
Loved our week at the Oregon shore, "splash of blue" was perfect for our family.
Arlene G.Nov 2018
From the moment you walk through the door you’re just in ahhh. Splash of Blue is such a beautiful home, pride of ownership shows throughout. Everything you need is provided for you. The home is so comfortable and clean. Beds are very comfortable, you’ll sleep well listening to the ocean. Beautiful beach to stroll or just sit out on the dunes and enjoy the tranquility and beautiful sunsets.
I wish I never had to leave.
Edward G.Sep 2018
We enjoyed our stay at the house. It was light, clean, and tidy and it is well-equipped with everything you’d need for cooking. The furniture was comfortable and the appliances worked. We were only two people so there was plenty of room for us. The view from the house is of grass covered sand dunes, not of the beach. You can get to the Beach easily by taking a path across the dunes.
Our only problem was Vacasa’s rental agent. The key inside the lock box didn’t fit the front door lock. It fit the side door, though. So we could only use the side door because the front door locks if you close it behind you and there was no key for it. There could have been a front door key inside the side door lock box but we couldn’t get that lock box to open. We tried to reach Vacasa to discuss the problem but the point of contact listed on the refrigerator did not respond the whole 5 days we were there. We tried the Vacasa office but after 25 minutes of elevator music we gave up.
We would recommend the house if they can solve the key problem but don’t expect any help from Vacasa.
Michelle L.Sep 2018
We did have a total blast here but picked up padded folding chairs at fred meyers in newport and also things for the kitchen. The furniture is seriously uncomfortable. Couch is sized for giants, ikea dining room chairs numb the bum in less than ten minutes. The odd picture of Trump dressed like Napolean in the master bathroom was super creepy as who wants an image of that perv watching you take care of bathroom things. This house has seriously awesome potential - spend a couple weeks here yourself and you’ll see the ovens need to be upgraded as the temp controls are off and you’ll get furniture that doesn’t just look good on the sales floor.
We appreciate the guests feedback. Our local staff will be checking the oven temperature controls to make sure that they are set accurately. The picture of Trump in the bathroom will also be removed for guest comfort.
Linda B.Aug 2018
Location, quiet neighborhood, room for everyone, close to the beach, roof top deck, pet friendly house & neighborhood. Fun bright lighting and decor.
Michael K.Aug 2018
2 adults 4 kids. Plenty of room very clean! Easy access to beach great surf lots of good times. Seals swam up to the shore was amazing! Roof top deck beat place in town for a mornig coffee. Easy access to shopping and crabbing in the bay and short drive to Depoe Bay
JEFFREY J.Jul 2017
We were there for a family reunion - our group of 4 stayed here and there was plenty of room for more. We enjoyed the luxury of three bathrooms, one for each major bedroom, and the privacy the house afforded. Loved the light over the beach, kite-flying, walking, cooking and spending time together. Convenient pool, just a few minutes into Waldport and a few miles to Yachats, one of our favorite towns.
Catalina F.Jul 2017
Very comfortable house for 7 of us, three couples and a child. Loved the open layout and natural light. Even though it does not have a full ocean view, the beach access is literally next door. We like relaxed Waldport as opposed to busy Newport. The drive to Newport is only 20 minutes to access other activities and sites.
Kelly B.Jun 2017
This beachfront home had lots of room for our family - 3 bedrooms plus a den with 2 twins and a day bed in the basement by the ping pong table that was great for our tournament. The home was pet friendly and we tested it with our three dogs! However, it would have been nice to have a grassy or cleared section for the dogs to use. We had a path down to the beach from the back deck that was a little hard to find. The grandkids loved seeing the bunny rabbits hop across the deck. We also enjoyed playing some of the games in the cabinets.
Becky J.Apr 2017
Get out and explore the local city shops and eateries.
Frank V.Apr 2017
Had a great time at this property and would definately stay here again
Kristina U.Mar 2017
There is a short walk on a nice sandy trail to the ocean and is closer than it appears in photos! Very nice 4 bedroom home with everything we needed to have a relaxing weekend at home with family.
Shirley W.Jan 2017
And a splash is what you get. It is a pretty nice house but you cannot see much of the ocean from it. The furniture in the front room and kitchen area are not comfortable at all but other than that it was a good stay! We have rented many houses on that road this one was nice and pretty clean but not good for viewing the ocean.
Kacey T.Oct 2016
Had a great time with the whole family in this very comfortable house. Great separation of bedrooms, light and bright, well stocked kitchen. We will definitely rent this house again!!
Ian M.Aug 2016
We had a great long weekend at the Splash of Blue. Comfortable for 8 adults, great beach access, lots of attractions in and around Yachats, Newport, Waldport.
Nyle L.Jul 2016
The home was nice and arranged well. The beach is close, just over a couple of small sand dunes. It would have been nice to have been able to see beach and ocean better. you could see it through a couple of openings in the sand dunes.
Caitlin M.Jul 2016
Great house with lots of space! Liked the kitchen cabinet labels.
Kathy T.Jul 2016
Beach access was not what we thought it would be. We were told it was a "bumpy" path to the beach, but it was not easy to use.
Greta S.Jul 2016
Loved our stay here! Everything was just as described! Lovely open, clean, concept home. Has everything you can think of in the kitchen for food prep. and the view while cooking is perfect! The "extras" for the dogs was a pleasant surprise and made bringing them worth it! It is a spacious home that has been well thought out to make travelers feel comfortable! Can't wait to come back!!
Nils L.Jun 2016
Exceeded our expectations, a great vacation.
Julie B.Jun 2016
great location on the beach, big windows and open floor plan. The house had everything we needed including crab crackers. Very cool house!
David P.Mar 2016
This place is spacious and a fun getaway for families or large groups. It has a dining room table that seats 8. That is difficult to find. I love how private and clean the beach is. It's an excellent place to stay!
Colleen F.Mar 2016
Great location with lots if amenities.
Art H.Mar 2016
Great location great place to stay.
Donna C.Oct 2015
The house was set up really well, everything was labelled and there there was no clutter.
We loved the wall of windows and the view to the ocean. a great place that is also pet friendly and we will certainly rent this house again
Kristina N.Sep 2015
Gorgeous view. Beach access from house. Quiet beautiful pristine beach. House was large and full of amenities. I would definitely stay there again.
Swetha V.Jul 2015
We loved our stay at 1814 NW Oceania . Spotless and large enough to accommodate our party of 8+1dog comfortably.
Steps to the beach.
We got locked out once and got immediate help from vacasa! Kudos to the staff for helping us out on a july4th weekend.
