My husband and I stayed there with another couple (our niece and nephew-in-law, and had a lovely time. The view is beyond amazing and it is a quiet, fishing community. We spent the last 5 nights of our trip here after starting in Newport Beach and then going to Key West. After our busy times there we loved the laid back vibe of Bokeelia and all it has to offer.

Also, this house has plenty of amenities that allow you too cook, grill and enjoy the space for anything you are hoping to do. Before we left my husband already asked if we could go back to that location again.

The unit itself was quite cozy and comfortable. Everything we could have needed, to include coffee filters, was provided. It really did feel like a home away from home.

This is a fabulous little slice of old Florida. The house and the area have amazing charm. The view is spectacular. Can sit in the sunroom, on the deck or beside the water and watch the tides, birds, fish, dolphins, sunrise and sunset. Can't decide which is more perfect! Everything we needed (except a pen to add our little note to the owners). It was perfect for our group of 4 that have outgrown the hustle, crowds and loudness of other FL cities! Perfect relaxation!

Being on the water. Sunrise and sunsets viewable from the deck. Island life yet still able to visit closeby museums and attractions without much difficulty. Acommodations were good. Loved the rustic cabin feel without giving up the modern conveniences.

Really enjoyed a much needed vacation. The view was great! I liked that we had a separate balcony to use instead of just the shared outdoor space. Especially with covid. The house is right on the water. It is also set back from the road slightly and is hidden from the road by foliage, which was very nice and provided a lot of privacy. Only a couple negatives...there was a very strong musty smell at arrival. It would have been nice if the unit was opened up and aired out a couple hours before our arrival. Some of the window screens had holes or rips which made those windows unusable if you wanted to keep insects out. The bathroom could use some updating. I would definitely stay here again.
Manager response:
Hi, Catherine! We appreciate you letting us know about your stay. We do apologize for the musty smell; the owner prefers the windows shut and air conditioning off when the home is vacant, but the home airs out quickly when guests arrive. Thank you!

We loved the location, the view was amazing. Theres a rustic/retro theme and it was cozy.
My only complaint would be there was only one roll of paper towels, one roll of TP and one trash bag left for us our whole stay.

Great location with view. Would definitely come back for a longer stay!

I enjoyed the view and the space was fine.. but there were some issues which could have been avoided. Lack of some basic supplies, (I even had to go out and buy a sponge to do dishes) some ants inside, some silverware and pans that were put away kind of dirty. One big reason I rented this property was for the kayak launch but it was unusable...I would have had to drag my boat over huge boulders and rocks at an awkward angle pretty much guaranteeing damage. Also the interior was not well lit...the pics make it seem a lot brighter than it actually were enhanced, not straight out of the camera guaranteed.

Right on Pine Island sound between changing tides, boats passing by, and beautiful weather related clouds this cottage is welcome to a small family or couples. It is very homey and warm- even had Christmas decorations up for our family staying there from Minnesota. Easy walking along the shore with a couple local restaurants nearby. Everything we needed for a week!

The location at the northern tip of Bokeelia was spectacular. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets, lovely view from the deck and from the enclosed sunroom. We loved the historic cabin, with everything upgraded. We will be back!

We were looking forward to this stay, but couldn't come. We are from Jacksonville and Savannah and could not risk being unable to get back out of SW Fla to our families before the hurricane hit. We didn't have trip protection, not sure it would have covered us anyway.

The feeling off being ons with nature.
