Vacasa service left a lot to be desired. In my opinion their representative are untrained in customer service.
Hi Ben, thank you for taking the time to share your review. We are sorry that we were unable to offer an earlier check-in and that it caused an upset. Our housekeeping team needed extra time to ensure the home was cleaned and sanitized, especially due to COVID. When you emailed we were very prompt and kind in responding. We ask that guests are kind and respectful in return. Thank you.

Great view, affordable. Not the cleanest when we went, but overall satisfied.

Nice: high quality bedding, good view from deck, beautiful setting, dog policy.
Not nice: small room size, tiny bathroom, no food service in "restaurant," no towel refresh.
Needs improvement: deck railings, parking lot surface.
We have sent your feedback to the local staff for further review. We appreciate you letting us know there is room for improvement and will work diligently with the homeowner to make any updates and repairs. We look forward to hosting you for your next vacation!

Loved the view and access to the deck, the room cleanliness and the amenities. Loved the bed, slept like a baby. Enjoyed the beer garden experience. Great stay.

My husband and I stayed here for an extended weekend winter getaway. We weren't in the room much because we were out snowmobiling but everything was very clean, the bed was soft and comfortable, and I like having a microwave & refrigerator in the room. The location is just off the snowmobile trails making it a perfect location for those wanting to sled in Eagle River. My only complaint is the poor Wi-Fi connection, but we hardly needed it because we were out most of the day. I would've booked the entire following week to work remotely if the Wi-Fi connection was better. I did rebook for the following weekend because we liked the room and location.

We booked a 2 night stay for a snowmobile trip and was very happy with the room. It was snowmobile friendly and had a trail running by the motel. The room was clean and rustic, perfect for an outdoor adventure. We like the check in process. Having a pass code emailed to us before we got there made it so easy to get settled into the room with out a check in process. I felt like we got a good value for the cost.

Comfortable, quite and beautiful lake shore location. Had coffee on the patio and enjoyed the sunrise and various boats going out for the morning. Would recommend to anyone and will definitely stay there again.

The chanticleer is clean, fun and fairly priced. If you think it’s expensive by looking online compared to others in the area, go stay there, sleep there, then write me and tell me if the clean rooms and the warm family feel of Jake and his welcoming family provide is still expensive.

Our room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. We enjoyed sitting on our deck and watching the boats “jam on the brakes” when they passes the no wake buoy. Everyone was accommodating and cheerful. We will be back (soon).

My husband and I needed to get away from the big city and recharge our batteries which is why we chose to drive to Eagle River. The Chanticleer Inn was the perfect spot because not only was it tucked away on several acres of beautiful trees, but it was right on the lake with several boat slips and a private beach.
We stayed in Room 57 of the motel which was very clean and updated and also had a mini frig and microwave. We had our own private deck off the back of the room that overlooked the water which was very peaceful. Chanticleer is on a channel that connects two lakes and is no-wake for the boats, so it’s a very quiet part of the lake, but a popular place for boats to travel thru which made it a perfect spot for boat and people watching.
Because of COVID-19, the restaurant is closed, but there is a small beer garden outside that is open daily from 11:30-6 which serves food cooked on a grill and drinks if you choose to stay on the property for lunch or dinner.
Across from the property is a trail to Dollar Lake which is a 5-minute walk. Chanticleer has their own private beach there where you can swim and watch beautiful sunsets. There are also trails on the property that you can walk.
Even though this property was built in the 1920s, they’ve done a good job keeping it updated and we would definitely stay there again.

The owner and property manager were more then accommodating. The facility was clean and beautiful. I will defiantly be making a return trip.
