The Borders is well situated. It is a short walk up the hill to BC Village. The Elkhorn lift is right out the backdoor. The lobby is large and inviting with lovely furniture and a fireplace area to hang out. (the only thing - that area is not handicapped accessible as you have to go down a few stairs to access it.) There was coffee/tea and water station everyday.

Lower 206 in particular is spacious and comfortable. It has a washer and dryer, too! Take your own spices, though, if you plan on cooking. They only have salt and pepper! It did have a Mr Coffee and a Keurig (bring your own kcups)! The home looks out on the front of the resort to the pool and hot tub. There's plenty of room at the front door for coats, hats, gloves and boots. The second room with twin beds is small but adequate. Oh! we couldn't use the closets, though. They wouldn't open (Probably owner's stuff in there?) The main bedroom was huge. The bathroom has a nifty heat lamp to keep you warm (I loved that after a cold day of skiing!) The second bathroom shower door is weird as you have to reach in around the door to turn on the water. (you guessed it - you get sprayed in the face.) We found if you left the door open inside the shower all the way and reached around it to turn on the water, the door gets hit first and the water can warm up - then close yourself in. Not a big deal, but the first day surprise face-wash was invigorating!

The Borders has an ample ski locker room to store your ski gear and it's right out the door to the lift!
The only downside is parking (all over the Village). If you bring two (or more cars), the second one has to park way down by the entrance to the resort (about 1 1/2 miles away) and you shuttle back. And you pay $10 a day. Carpool if you can.
