The location was perfect for our needs,, if a tad noisy due to the nearby rollercoaster and Mission Boulevard traffic, but much quieter after 10pm. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Fridge brand new, well-equipped kitchen, large bed (mattress on the softer side). BYO Keurig coffee pods, and tea; no spices or culinary oils provided either. Previous reviewers commented on odors; we found none. Very deep garage, perfect for our minivan.
Manager response:
Rachel, thank you for the review after your stay at Beachclose Beauty. We are so glad you enjoyed the home and the location. We do not furnish oils, spices, baggies, foils, coffee, or teas in our homes. We furnish a starter pack of paper products and soaps. We look forward to hosting you in the future. Thank you!

Cottage exactly as represented in as. Only problem is that the property needs a smart TV or they should recommend the renter bring their fire stick or Apple TV. We actually left a day early so we could catch the PGA play. Other than that, we lived the property.

This place was a dump! The heater and TV were broken, called the property owner who promised to bring space heaters. Those never showed up and it was 50 degrees! The rental was not cleaned very well, the floors were dirty, we didn't see any bugs but judging by the overall condition of this property I would not be surprised. Do yourself a favor, do NOT RENT THIS UNIT.
Manager response:
Hi, Steve! We are so sorry to read you did not receive better service during your visit. There are two space heaters kept in the closet at all times since the home does not have a central heating system. Thank you!

Everything was as advertised. Clean and comfortable and great location.

The bungalow is in a great location for walking out the front gate to the right to the bay and to the left to the beach. It is built on walkway between houses so you don't actually drive down Island Ct. The garage is off an alley so can be tricky to find the first time. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was convenient and well stocked with dishes, silverware, etc. There is a Keurig coffee pot so bring your own coffee pods. Vacasa was very responsive to our concerns about the television not allowing us to watch any channels, the window whose hinge was falling off the frame, and they were going to work on the fireplace that wouldn't turn on. There is a lot of charm in old bungalows like this one, but remember they are old and come with things like single pane windows. Cold in the winter and some won't open for the summer. Overall, it was an okay experience. The best part is the location.

The Beach house was perfect for the two of us. Very clean and located near the Bay and easy walk to Mission Beach/Belmont Park. Had everything we needed. The garage was an extra plus for parking and security. Definitely recommend and would stay there again.

Our family of 4 spent the week in August. The place was very clean and just like the pictures, the house look good and clean.
The home is super close to the bay side, 1.2 mile walk to the Catamaran hotel for those interested doing morning and evening walks.

Our family was able to ride their bikes, paddle board and kayak on the bayside. Plenty of activities to do nearby and of course walking distance to the beach.

We hosted two dinners with friends and the outside patio was great. The BBQ grill was super clean and plenty of propane. Unfortunately Vacasa's customer service disappointed us. Using the app we communicated that the patio umbrella was torn and broken and not able to use during these hot sunny days. We had emailed on the 1st day of arrival and no response from Vacasa. Days later we called customer service and they said they would make it a priority to find a replacement umbrella, unfortunately that never happened. Now reading previous reviews I see the umbrella has been an issue with past guest.

Overall great place to stay. I would not re-book a home managed by Vacasa.

The house is really cozy and the touching surfaces were clear. The neighborhood is great: ocean, bay, restaurants, everything you may need is available.
The smell in the house is terrible, in particular early morning: sewer smell was an everyday companion and there was also pee smell in the bathroom.
In the garage every night a lot of cockroaches had parties, making impossible go in the garage at that time.
The kitchen furniture and accessories are good, but everything seems old a some furniture need to be adjusted/replaced.
The two couched in the living room are great, but the mattress in the bedroom is terrible.
There was a air fan very dangerous because the coverage came off often and, with a baby moving around for the house, the risk to use it was too high.
There s a very cozy yard in front of the house, with a table with 4 chairs, but also with a broken sun umbrella.
Manager response:
Thank you for telling us about your visit, Alessio. The cockroaches have been treated, and the umbrella will soon be replaced. We have been unable to locate any unpleasant odors but will be sure to routinely check. Thanks again!

The place was very clean and super close to the beach, restaurants, shopping!

My husband and I loved staying at the Beachclose Beauty with the comfy bed and well appointed kitchen. We had a tough time figuring out the TV until I asked the manager via text. She returned my text immediately with easy to follow directions. We loved the location as we like to ride bikes on the boardwalk as well as swim in the ocean. We will definitely stay here again!

Perfect location !

Vacasa calls it Beachclose Beauty for a reason... it's literally sounded by water, with the Pacific Ocean on one side and Mission Bay on the other, with no shortage of things to do and places to go, all with easy walking distance. We parked the car and never left the neighborhood! The cottage was super clean and well stocked for our stay, and the house manager Ana was very helpful and accommodating. I'll definitely be back!

Mostly remodeled. Two pull out couch-beds helped a lot and the garage was of great value. The Patio was really nice to have as well.
Location is fine. Loud with summer activity, very narrow access and requires a specific access path.
The property had a very strong and odd smell. One that is much like something rotting in the pipes -almost sewage like. That was the biggest negative and it never really lightened up. The property is mostly remodeled and cute, couches nice, small bathroom with old outlet placement but it works ok. And the TV did not have a subscription to any of the noted channels. Overall, it was good enough although the odd smell would keep me from coming back. Could just be the nature of an old property, but a bit offensive just the same.
Manager response:
Hi, Kim! This home has an odor typical for older beach houses; opening the windows helps with this. The TV works and only has basic channels. Please do not hesitate to call and let us know if you need assistance.

We loved our 5 day getaway here. The house was clean and cozy, exactly like the pictures! Everything is close by. I rented a Kayak for the whole time from Ray’s Rentals at the end of Island Ct at Mission Blvd so we just walked down and they gave us wheels to cart it back. The garage was wonderful as parking is usually a headache in the area. Loved being next to bay for Kayaking and within a short walk of the ocean. Vacasa made it easy to reserve, check in and out! Thanks🙂

This was such a comfortable, charming and fun casita. Everything was well thought out and all was done to make my stay as pleasant as possible. I highly recommend this Mission Bay Jewel and will definitely stay here next time.
If you're a runner, it doesn't get much better than this. You can go around the Bay by accessing Bayside or the boardwalk and get in a great 5 mi run while you cross the Ingram Street Bridges.

Everything was great

Pretty Spanish style one bedroom one bath home with full sized kitchen, huge refrig, gas stove, microwave, dishwasher, private laundry room, big enclosed garage for off-street parking. Very comfortable king bed with good reading lights. Half a block east to Mission Bay and one and a half blocks west to ocean on quiet pedestrian walkway. Surprisingly quiet for proximity to beach action.
William S. Mar 2021
This place was very clean. It was just as pictured and described except for the fact that there are no beach chairs. This put us at a disadvantage for enjoying the beach. Also the coffee maker is a keurig machine and the host does not provide even a first morning keurig pod. Lastly bring all your own toiletries, small bar of soap provided.
Patricia S. Mar 2021
It was a good experience. The house was very clean and organized. It was simple but comfortable and cozy! The location is perfect as well. I really recommend this place and I'm planning be back as well!
Ana S. Feb 2021
Such a cute home for me and my daughter, we can walk everywhere, we went to breakfast, walk to the beach, spend a few days relaxing and visiting family.
Thank you !!

We just spend a few days at Beachclose Beauty and were happy to find that it was exactly as the listing presented. A stand alone home with garage parking with old beach cottage charm, yet well appointed and very clean. I would definitely recommend and would stay there again.
