Oceanside In Corolla w/ Private Pool, Hot Tub, Rec Room & Theatre

Taking inspiration from the classic Mediterranean villa in both its design and Decor, this awesome beach house features an abundance of ceramic tile, stucco-like interior surfaces, fresco style painted ceilings and wall accents, arched windows and doorways, along with marble column and faux stone details, all of which is complimented by quality fixtures and formal furnishings characterized by dark wood finishes and richly colored fabrics. Add to all this, the large private pool, the theatre room, and the fully equipped rec room, and you will know that you have found the “Crown Jewel” of Outer Banks vacation homes.

Ground Level: The rec room has a tray ceiling painted to look like the sky, ceramic tile floor, a wet bar with full fridge, microwave and dishwasher, a pool table, foosball, a poker table with checkerboard insert, TV, and access to the fully fenced and gated pool area. There is a separate theatre room that has a 4' x 7' theatre screen with an overhead projection system and 2 rows of comfortably cushioned home theatre seating. There is a Queen main bedroom with TV, and a room with 2 bunk sets with an adjoining bath that also opens to the rec room. The laundry is located off the rec room.

Mid Level: An open den with an arched faux stone entrance supported by short marble-look columns and accented with a decorative painted ceiling, has a wall mounted flat screen TV, a sofa, and a desk with a computer, wifi, and a scanner/copier/fax machine. There are 2 King main bedrooms and a Queen main bedroom, each with a tiled bath and TV. One King and the Queen have deck access. The hot tub is on the deck overlooking the pool area.

Top Level: The sunny window lined great room has a flat screen HDTV with DVD mounted above the built-in gas fireplace with tiled surround in the sitting area. There are 2 dining tables, one seating 8 and the other seating 4. The adjoining ceramic tiled kitchen has handsome cabinets and stainless steel appliances. There are 2 cooktops, 2 dishwashers, and 2 sinks. The large island bar has seating for 5. There is a half bath and a King main bedroom with TV and a whirlpool tub and dual head walk-in shower in its tiled bath. A large sundeck opens off the great room and bedroom, and overlooks the pool.

You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement.

*Please note that this property has a pool which is open from May to October and can be heated for $60/night. NOTE: Pool heat not available in July & August. Guests must call in after booking to arrange for pool heat; at least 48 hours of notice must be given for heat to be turned on.

1 day notification is required in order to heat the pool. An additional pool heat fee of USD60 per day must be paid prior to check-in. Guests can contact Vacasa after booking to purchase pool heat for the home.

The Crown Jewel OS2 worked well for our family of 12 (8 adults, 2 teenagers, and 2 children under 12) and one dog. There were ample bedrooms and bathrooms. The pool table, foosball, swimming pool, hot tub, and especially the home theater provided entertainment options and were enjoyed by all. The walk to the beach was pretty easy and the beach was beautiful. The kitchen was very well equipped. We did have an issue with a toilet on the ground level which was promptly fixed after we reported it. There is a computer and printer however the computer requires a password which is not provided and when we asked VACASA for it, they reported back that the owner doesn't know it which basically means that the computer is useless. And - the printer needs new ink cartridges. Not having the use of the PC was not an issue for us given the number of laptops, tablets and smart phones that we all bought but listing it as an amenity is misleading. I would definitely recommend this property for a large family group.

This home is spacious but in desperate need of updates and maintenance. We we’re greeted with cobwebs, spiders, and dust both inside and out. We had to spray the entry way with water just to enter without spiders. The carpet, furnishings etc were VERY dated and run down. The “well stocked” kitchen wasn’t what we would call well stocked. No plastic cups or plates for by the pool area despite there being a place for them downstairs. We brought in several families to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary and we were very disappointed with the price we paid and how run down the property was. We did receive a vacuum and help with the broken pool lighting in a timely fashion but overall this place definitely needs updates.

Very well stocked kitchen. Clean bathrooms and lots of bedrooms. Many things outdated. Needed items to be addressed during stay. Maintenance people excellent- a shame we got to know them so well.

I am an RN from NYC who had not seen my family in months to a year. So we all were looking forward to a vacation together to celebrate Christmas and our mothers 75th birthday. We all tested negative for COVID prior to coming to NC. We had our mask, gloves and protective shields when needed. But I fell in love with this home when I was looking for homes to rent in the outer banks; because it had a more modern feel to it than the other homes I saw. The home is beautiful and to the naked it seemed clean. But I’m looking at the carpeting and finding items under chairs in media room, under beds and dealing with the maintenance issues that monopolized most of my trip. I was not happy at all. I have family members who used to work as cleaners and inspectors of some of the houses in the outer banks when we used to stay there years ago. So I know what it’s supposed to be like when you rent these houses. But this house, the upkeep was very disappointing. From the issues of cleanliness, to the maintenance issues with the refrigerator, hot tub safety, dryer, patios outside of the bedrooms. I was just not pleased to think we all left the safety of our homes to come to a house that may not have been cleaned properly or sanitized in lieu of Covid. Did not sit well with me. But hopefully they can get a crew in there to do a through cleaning and maintenance. (Not during the renters time there unless it’s absolutely necessary) Because overall the house is really nice and enjoyable. This is just my overall experience that I am expressing.
