Oceanfront, Dog-Friendly Home w/ Shared Pool, Free High-Speed WiFi, & Central AC

Enjoy a beverage or just take in the sound of the waves from the deck. When you're ready, just walk down the back stairs and feel the salty sea on your toes while the dogs run up and down by the waves. That's the kind of day you can have at this gorgeous oceanfront home. Direct beach access is the name of the game here. You may end up spending most of your time out on the deck, breathing in the salty air, taking in the 180-degree view of the sea, and cooking up delicious dishes on the private gas grill.

Inside, you can breath easy under the whitewashed vaulted ceilings of this lovely beach home. Central air conditioning, hardwood-style floors, and circulating ceiling fans ensure comfort in every room. When it's time to come together for meals, the home's long-and-open format extends to the kitchen. You may fall in love with the classic beach cabinetry - in any case, the full-size appliances (including a dishwasher and garbage disposal!) and spacious counters will help serve up memories. Serve it up on the deck or on the gorgeous wood table set that includes a bench for more folks to squeeze in. Wind down in the casual bedrooms each featuring their own TV, so you can wind down with your show of choice. In addition to the beautiful sea, guests can enjoy access to an outdoor shower and shared outdoor pool during their stay. What will you explore first?

This beach house is perfectly situated within walking distance to the beach. The windows in the bedrooms are small with optional hurricane covers for those that like dark rooms to sleep. This house is perfect for that. Reasonably priced. I would be interested in booking this house again. Dog Friendly.

Overall we had a great time. Great view and location. Couple of drags were there was no dustpan to sweep up the sand brought in. There was a broom though. There were some socks under one of the beds when we arrived. The bbq pit did not work even though propane tank was full. The 1st floor has some lower spots/dips when walking around. Overall the house needs some updating.

I had such a amazing experience at this beach house. Such a beautiful place. Had a amazing view of the island, Great to get away with your family for the weekend!

The place is in a great location. The only thing is id like to see is some improvements to the home. First, the sliding door is broken you have to use a piece of wood to lock it which is very dirty. Second, the back porch door is broke where you have to pick it up and slant it for your pup not to go through. Third, the place needs some majorly cleaning with sand ans dust as you see sand all over the place and ceiling fan cords. The home is nice just needs some tlc on basic things to make it more comfortable for your guests.
Manager response:
Hello Luis, thank you for your review. We are glad you overall enjoyed your stay and we appreciate you bringing up some items that need our immediate attention. We are sorry there were some maintenance issues in the home upon your arrival. We confirm the sliding door has been repaired and a deep clean has been carried out at the home. We hope to have another chance to host you for a much better experience!

Overall the vacation was quite nice but the home that I stayed in does need some general maintenance and an overall deep cleaning. I believe the support beams need to be replaced on the home because when you walked around you could feel the house move. Also, the furniture was old and worn out. The deck was quite large and a GREAT VIEW of the ocean. I loved the fact that we could sit on the deck and relax to the beach sounds/view!!!!

Although the location is beach front, this property needs severe maintenance. The entire floor buckled, sliding door does not have a lock, water damage on walls, not adequate kitchen pieces, lack of caulking in window trims allowing for bugs to enter, outdoor shower non functional, gate to porch/stair rusted and doesn’t latch, house was not properly cleaned prior to arrival. There was hair in sinks and sand swept under the beds. Parking is advertised as 4 but we do not see how 4 cars would be possible given the location off a public access road. Definitely do not recommend this property. The pictures look very different than what you are actually renting.
Manager response:
Thank you for staying with us, Becky. We are sorry the home did not meet your expectations and we apologize for the cleanliness and maintenance oversights you found upon your arrival. Thank you for sharing your feedback and for bringing some items to our attention that may need some TLC. The owner is currently having repairs done to the property. The outside shower, gate latch, and windows are scheduled to be worked on. We are not aware of any water damage in the walls but our team will check and make the needed repairs. The kitchenware has been updated. We hope we can host you again for a much more enjoyable stay.

We really enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room and nice to be so close to the beach. I would suggest putting a dust pan in the house. We tried to keep the sand swept but not having a dust pan made it harder.

Perfect location, light, airy

We passed your comments along to our local manager to review and we appreciate guest’s preferences as a means to continually improve. We look forward to hosting your next stay!

- Close access to the beach and location.
- Dinning room table, although it is too big for the space it is in, you can't walk around it at all. Everyone has to get up in order for people to get in to their spot on either side or the head of the table on wall side.
- Open design
- Space in rooms is good, does not feel cramped.
- The view, great!
- Condition of bed frames.

There are a few things that could make it better but it is right on the beach so wear is to be expected.
Stephen L. Apr 2021
If you want to be close to the beach this is the place.
Erica S. Apr 2021
Access to the beach could not be any easier.
David H. Mar 2021
The location of the house was great on the beachside of the highway with an unobstructed view of the gulf was awesome. We liked the location of the house, being it was on the West end of the island just past Jamaica Beach.

Our first time renting here and we hope to rent again in the future. The home is perfectly sized and usable, and would be comfortable even at max occupancy. A nice-sized kitchen makes meal prep as easy as at home, and - something that can be tough to find at beach houses - the water pressure is excellent! The view is great and the beach convenient. The deck is fantastic with lots of space (though you may need to bring extra folding chairs/loungers - there's a picnic table and two Adirondacks provided). You're about a twenty minute drive back into Galveston proper, though there are a handful of restaurants on the way. The only (very MINOR) thing to be aware of is you share the road to the public parking area on the beach, so there's a bit of traffic going by the house throughout the day. Also, the master bedroom does not have a ceiling fan, and the thermostat is on the first floor meaning it stays a little warm upstairs, so a small box fan might be nice to just keep the air moving in the evening (assuming you don't have windows open). Again, very minor notes that don't change the fact that we really enjoyed our stay here.
