This 1860 farmhouse was a great gathering spot for our family—6adults and 1 toddler. Plenty of space to spread out or enjoy dinners and games around the large dining room table. Kitchen well-equipped with pots, pans, dishes as well as cleaning supplies. Our favorite area was the dock at the riverside. So relaxing sitting with the Adirondack chairs in the water. River is clean and warm and only knee deep near dock. We enjoyed making S’mores by the fire pit in the evening. Great place for a family retreat.

The house worked out really well for our trip to see our new granddaughter for first time. The only reason is not a five star is that 1 bedroom access is not thought out well and you need to enter via garage area which is not really pleasant. It was clean. The farmhouse theme décor is lovely. The kitchen has amble appliances, supplies and plate ware. Supplying toiletry items and paper towels, dishsoap, dishwasher detergent, trash bags and bedding and towels was very helpful.

The house overall provides a great accommodation with lots of amenities. I was not able to find out what they have in term of kitchen equipment so I ended up bringing too many stuff that they already have in the house. I'd say this house would be better in the summer as we were not able to utilize the backyard + river due to the snow. Only thing I did not enjoy was the communication. We had a problem occurred and their system is to call the customer service line, waiting for their response/call back and multiple steps before getting actual help. If there was a more straightforward way to talk to the property manager (they are not available after certain time) it'd be so much more convenient. I'd give this another try if I come to the area again
Manager response:
Hi Duyen, thank you for your feedback! While we are glad you enjoyed your stay, we are disappointed to learn that you had a negative experience with us. We are committed to providing exceptional customer service, and we will follow up with the appropriate parties to ensure our service standards are fully met. We hope you'll give us a second chance to better serve you!

The location of Nature and Freedom Retreat is terrific with the backyard being the standout feature. Having access to the river, kayaks, and the firepit made for a highly enjoyable stay. The house was clean and spacious with historic colonial charm.

We very much enjoyed the charm and character of this house. The property is great with opportunity to walk down to the river and spend mornings having coffee on the porch. Kitchen a great place to gather with family.

The house was spacious and clean, with everything you'd need to have a pleasant stay. This is a beautiful house, with a great back yard facing a fast flowing river. The owners obviously take great pride in caring for the house, making our stay wonderful. I would highly recommend anyone booking this location for a memorable vacation. You can also walk to a great Ice cream restaurant too!
