My family and I had a nice time her it sis close to the beach, lots of cookware and clean. Down side is the Fire place doesn’t work. Hot tub is not hot more like Luke warm. Shower water gets cold quickly.
Manager response:
Thank you for staying with us, Maria. We are glad you enjoyed the home overall but are so sorry for the details that were amiss. We are so sorry the fireplace did not work during your stay. The fireplace in this home is a gas fireplace and requires the pilot to be lit. We would have been glad to assist you with this had we been made aware. We appreciate you letting us know the hot tub may be in need of repair and we will be sure to address any issues for future guests. We have not had any issues reported with the hot water in this home. Occasionally, some homes require additional time in between uses to reheat. We apologize for any inconvenience this caused and hope we have the opportunity to impress you in the future.

Very cute decor. Good location. Very cute, clean and well stocked. Couldn't figure out how to operate the fireplace though.

This home was very comfortable and although we were mostly only there in the evenings and to sleep it was wonderful to sit on the comfortable couches and enjoy a good movie with our family. We saw a deer and her two babies down the street which was so very nice. It is in a nice quiet neighborhood and had all the amenities. I love that you had so many towels and even though we didn’t get to any board games it was nice to see all the selections that you had to offer.

We had grandma and grandpa stay in the bedroom downstairs on a king bed, next to the bathroom, which worked really well. The adults and grandkids stayed upstairs where there are more beds and another bathroom. This worked really well and we enjoyed our time in the spa and back patio where there is shade and sun (depending on time of day)...and a nice magnolia tree! Everything was clean and there were lots of dishes to accommodate us as well. We enjoyed walking the nearly straight shot to the beach (about half mile to literally touching the water), but sometimes we drove. We liked the hose on the front patio to help take off any extra sand that made it back and the covered front porch. Very quiet street. Beautiful sky at night-easy to see lots of stars! Couches have recliners. We also liked having the windows open for a nice breeze that came through; and we could actually hear the ocean; especially from the king-sized bedroom!

The house was very comfortable for our multi-generational vacation. It had everything we needed and plenty of towels, which were appreciated.
Just things to keep in mind for future guests - if you plan on eating at restaurants in town, be sure to check their open times early and often as many places were closed during our mid-week trip.
A suggestion for the house - it would be nice to have information on how to open the hot tub and if there was central heat/air. We eventually figured out the hot tub, which was very relaxing. And we just opened windows to adjust the temperature inside.

Bright spacious house had everything we needed for our family trip to the coast. Easy to walk or drive straight to the beach through downtown Rockaway. Could cook our meals watch movies and do laundry made our vacation super easy.
Manager response:
Hello Julie, We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for your great review!!

We loved our stay in Rockaway at Palisades Beach House. Its not really close to the beach (which we knew) but was a perfect size for our group of 7 (two were children).Fun porch, great beds/rooms, plenty of towels and dishes. We wished we could have figured out the fireplace on our first night, and I assumed there would be some salt/pepper, etc in the cupboards (and laundry detergent to start the optional load of towels before leaving) but those would be our only things to sorta complain about. We had a wonderful time and would recommend it to friends.
Manager response:
Hi Roger, we're happy to hear you enjoyed the home, though we apologize for the issues that prevented you from fully enjoying your stay. It is relayed to guests in our check-in materials that while our local property manager is not on-site to greet guests, our professional, dedicated team is standing by should any need arise. Please note a starter set of paper products and travel-sized toiletries are provided to start our guest's first night out on the right foot, but pantry items like oils and spices are not usually stored in the home for sanitary purposes. Thank you again for this valuable information as we always welcome the opportunity to improve. We hope to have another chance to host you for a future stay!
