Gorgeous dog-friendly bayview home - walk to beach, shops, & restaurants!
A tranquil, rejuvenating getaway awaits at this beautifully restored four-bedroom Waldport vacation rental. Perfect for large groups of up to 12 guests, it offers a cozy fireplace, lovely bay views, and plenty of modern conveniences to make your stay comfortable. And the family dog can come along, too!
Residing in a quaint neighborhood on the banks of the Alsea River, this home is conveniently situated near both coastal and city attractions. Just a short walk north, the Alsea Bay Bridge Interpretative Center is a great place to bone up on the area’s history, or you could get your shopping fix along Highway 101, and there’s even crabbing and a boat launch at the Port of Alsea docks (about a mile northeast).
Full of rustic character with knotty pine floors and walls, built-ins, and vintage decor, this home is an adorable coastal retreat. Though the house is almost a century old, it's been lovingly restored and is packed with vintage charm.
Pick out a book from the living room’s library and settle into either of two cloth couches for a quiet afternoon of reading. Flip on the flatscreen TV and you could catch up on a favorite cable series, or watch a movie thanks to the DVD player. If it’s chilly outside, quickly warm the room with the wood-burning fireplace.
When your group gets hungry, head into the kitchen to whip up a homemade meal. Use ample countertops, modern appliances, and a variety of cookware to quickly and easily serve up fresh dishes. And when the meal is ready, eat together at the six-chair dining table in the spacious dining area. For smaller gatherings or overflow seating, use the four-seat table in the breakfast room, which is next to the kitchen.
Is the forecast calling for sunny skies and warm temperatures during your stay? Have a barbecue! Use the home’s gas grill to cook shrimp kabobs, tuna steaks, or any other delicious dishes made from local ingredients, and enjoy lovely bay views when dining al fresco.
Afterwards, head outdoors to play catch in the large yard, or take a leisurely stroll around the neighborhood. Lace up your running shoes and you could take a refreshing jog along the Alsea River where you’re sure to catch glimpses of coastal wildlife, including otters, herons, seagulls, deer, and bald eagles.
Come home at the end of an activity-filled day, ready for restful slumber. Up to 12 guests are accommodated in four bedrooms, as well as your beloved family dog - for a small nightly fee. The first bedroom, downstairs, has a twin daybed, and there's also a futon on this level. Upstairs are three more bedrooms, two with a queen bed each and one with two full beds - and there are also two twin-size rollaway beds that will be perfect for the kids. Cozy and charming with vintage dressers, cloth chairs, curtained picture windows, and sloped ceilings, the bedrooms are peaceful places guaranteed to deliver a great night’s sleep, night after night.
Wake up refreshed and ready for a new day of adventures. Brew a pot of coffee and start the day with a refreshing stroll down the beach, beginning at Governor Patterson Memorial State Recreation Site (about one and a half miles south). Explore tide pools and uncover treasures brought in with the surf. There’s even a picnic area, so don’t forget to pack a lunch for a festive beachside picnic. If you’re in the mood for a scenic day hike, check out the Woodlands Trail, a wood-chip hiking path that winds through town.
Ready for a fun day trip? Pack your group in the car and drive 15 miles north to Newport where you’ll find a variety of shopping, dining, and entertainment options. If you’ve brought kids, treat them to an exciting day of family-friendly fun featuring playful penguins, curious otters, and many more coastal creatures on display at the Oregon Coast Aquarium. Older tastes are well rewarded with a visit to the Rogue Brewery for local beer sampling, and the whole group will love reeling in salmon on a local fishing charter.
Inviting, cozy, and comfortable, this Central Oregon Coast vacation rental will set the stage for an unforgettable trip to Waldport. Book the Alsea Bridge Bay View today and plan for big adventures in a small town atmosphere! A damage waiver, covering up to $2,000 of accidental damage to the property or its contents, is included in the cost of your reservation.

We've stayed at the Maple Street Beach House several times and we love the location. It's an old house, with a few old house quirks and minor issues, but we've always found the owners responsive and problems are fixed when we stay again. Housekeeping does an excellent job. Great house for families or groups of friends.

The fenced yard worked well for our dogs. The kitchen is fully functional with lots of large pots and pans, lots of plates, glasses and flatware. The house was very clean and well kept. The gas barbeque works very well.
Angie A.Jun 2021
The house was perfect for our family vacation. Close to things to do and also plenty of room to just hang out.
Garyl T.May 2021
The house was charming and great for a large party. I would stay another time without regret. I love old homes and their furnishings. I do not agree with check in and out times. With 8 people in the house it would be impossible to check out after breakfast and showers by 10 am. 4 is a bit late in the day to checkin special having to checkout by 19 the next morn

We couldn't have planned our trip better on the weekend of a major snow & ice storm that crippled the Portland area. It was a little hard getting out of Portland, but once we did, it was easy riding. The house is lovely and very roomy. Kitchen is setup with all necessary utensils, except I would recommend bring tin foil for your left overs! The first night we were there, there was a great storm that blew through Waldport. While the house is old and made a lot of noise, we were snug as a bug. The little walking beach across the street allows a nice break from Covid Cabin Fever. The yard is completely fenced in, so our Sophie loved exploring unattended. Would highly recommend this house. Great for a big crowd too.

The kids crossed the street and threw the crab pots in! The yard is huge, the house is awesome. There is an outside covered area too which is nice in Oregon rain. Make sure you locate the fireplace instructions or you’ll never get a fire going.

We spent the week of Christmas in this charming home and loved it. My family of 8, including my mother, husband, 4 young adult children plus one spouse, a teenage son and 2 dogs had a fantastic week in this waldport home. It was clean, and it had enough places for everyone to sleep comfortably. We loved the dining table that could seat all 8 of us. The living room with fireplace was cozy and comfortable. We loved the 1920’s feel. The location was perfect for visiting Newport, Lincoln city, and florence and many places in between. I also loved the pillows. Very comfortable to sleep on.

Great location! We crabbed in the bay and were able to pick up lunch from the shoreline. It was a fun, quirky house with lots of charm.

We loved this home, its affordable and charming not to mention boasts enough room for our large family, however the home owners seem to no longer care about anything but profit. There was water damage to the ceiling in the dining room nearly 2 years ago that was never repaired. We found several floor board nails, rusty and laying throughout the home. Which is terrifying when you have dogs or children. The floor between the kitchen and the breezeway is sinking which made it very difficult for my elderly aunt to get around the home! We were heart broken we hoped to keep coming back for years to come but the home is crumbling and the owner doesn't seem to care...to bad it is such a charming old home.
Hi, Tiffany! We appreciate your feedback and are sorry to read you had some disappointments. Our housekeeping team is normally very on top of any damages that need addressing, so we are surprised to read you found any problems. We will follow-up on this and do hope you will consider coming back. Thank you!

We've been vacationing in Waldport for many, many years. This home is by far our favorite. Excellent location. Steps away from the bay. Sunset strolls along the beach were a favorite! The home is huge. So many rooms! Next time we will invite others to join as there is plentiful space for everyone. We loved all the unique built ins and the funky furniture. A few things could use a bit of attention....new pans. There were 2 copper type pans and 2 teflon type. The teflon ones need to be thrown away and replaced. Same thing with the only baking sheet. It was rusted. The home owners ask to have shoes removed as the fir floors have been refurbished. This is fine and dandy however, there are major cracks and spaces on the floor that will catch a sock or skin, leaving you with a nasty sliver. I'd recommend you bring house shoes, flip flops, or something to wear in the house. The fenced yard is amazing for those with a dog (s). The pictures show a charcoal grill, so I bought coals. The home has a propane grill that we couldn't get to work. So much for grilled burgers. The home also has a fireplace, but the wood pile is of no use. Who knows how many years it's been soaking here. We are used to traveling with wood but, most aren't. So if you want a fire...bring wood. The home is full of windows, which is great for lighting and keeping the mood brighter on grey days. The windows are old and tend to make noise if its super windy. They are also not great at retaining heat. We had the fireplace to help take out the chill but had we not had wood...it would take forever to heat the place with the little heaters in place. In spite of some of the little things...this home is an absolute gem and we will definitely rent again.

Everything about the house was great except the internet service it was poor at best.
Now the good things.
I have a 24’ boat great off street parking for it.
Great outdoor area to cook crab and eat.
Well stocked kitchen.
Clean and comfortable
I will be back

This house is a perfect location in Walport. We can walk to almost anywhere we want to at Waldport. Cute and clean!!!
Marian M.Jul 2020
This home is big enough for our family and very clean. Location is right across from the beach. This is our 2nd time staying here and love it.
Nick B.Jun 2020
This is our second time staying at this house. We love it. The only complaint is the WiFi at the coast is not as fast as what the valley has so it made doing work remotely difficult. But we love the proximity to the beach. We will be staying here again
Courtney G.Mar 2020
This home offers so much space for the whole family along with its perfect location. Loved it!

Holidays are serious business for our family. It’s tough to get our whole family together, so when we have the opportunity, we strive to find the perfect place to make that happen, and Maple Street Beach House didn’t disappoint! This wonderful little find is nestled in Waldport, Oregon and is just a short distance from the shoreline. We walked daily along the shore and enjoyed the wonders of the scenery and fresh air. The home has wonderful little quirks and nostalgia that only a house of this type can share. Our family was comfortable and made wonderful memories here. We would not only recommend... we plan to return! Thank you for a wonderful experience!
James L.Oct 2019
We had a great time at this great location! It is centrally located to great outdoor opportunities. Clamming, crabbing, fishing, visiting tide pools all within 20 min. Great little Alden bay beach just outside the front door. Would definitely come back again!

I run an adult care home we had a wonderful time the house was perfect and met all our needs
Ivony H.Sep 2019
I was expecting a house by the bay, like right by the it and not accross the street from the bay so we were a bit disappointed. The house has a musty smell when we got in, not something you'd expect for a recently been cleaned house. Some curtains were ripped and dusty. The TV was a little small for the spacious living room. Overall it was okay, the house was spacious and it accommodate all of us.
Thank you for staying with us. We are sorry to see some aspects of your stay disappointed you. Housekeeping will be taking care of the curtains and any unpleasant odors. We hope to see you again!

Great location, clean, well equipped, decent price
Janet C.Jul 2019
There was room to spread out. Nice yard. Well stocked kitchen. Nice location near the beach.
Lynn A.Apr 2019
The house is amazing, I'm not sure the year it was built but it reminds me of grandma's house. It has a brass door bell, formal dining room and tons of built ins. I love this house. Close to beach access and shops.
Nick B.Mar 2019
Loved this house. Looking forward to staying here again.
Blake R.Feb 2019
We loved staying here, good location in Waldport and very close to the water!
Aprille C.Aug 2018
The house was very clean and quaint. It fit our needs for 12 people perfectly. We would rent this home again!
Kathryn W.Aug 2018
The house was spacious and clean. Beautiful hardwood floors throughout. A great place for family together. Sits one block from downtown Waldport with a view of the bridge. Although it's close to everything, it's not noisy. Beds were comfortable. I would stay here again.
Susan R.Jul 2018
The house is beautiful. The area is a gateway to so much. Heceta Lighthouse, Newport Waterfront, the Aquarium, Rogue Brewery, Florence Waterfront, Moe's, Honeyman, Seal Rock, Yahats! Great fun!

SHERRI M.Jul 2018
THE HOME WAS CLEAN AND VERY SPACIOUS. PLENTY OF ROOM FOR ALL 12 OF US. THE KITCHEN WAS WELL EQUIPPED FOR COOKING AND SEATING. THE LOCATION WAS CLOSE TO SHOPPING AND POINTS OF INTEREST. 2 OF MY GRANDSONS SKATE BOARD AND THERE WAS A VERY NICE SKATE PARK CLOSE BY.
Tracy R.Feb 2018
We enjoyed all the unique features of this 100 yr old house. would love to have some history of the house to read. Great location and large enough for a big group . Had everything we needed to stay in and cook. only a few complaints, never could get wifi to work and no reply from host. coffee pot and vacuum did not work correctly for us. hard to vacuum rugs when it's not working properly.
We inspected the WiFi, coffee pot, and vacuum after receiving this review and found all to be working. We apologize for any issues these guests had with these items and wish they had called for assistance. Thank you!
Sheila A.Aug 2017
11 of us stayed here. 7 adults and 4 children all quite comfortably. Cute, quirky old house. It took a whole half a day to get oriented to the downstairs layout. We had a lot of fun here. The kids played in the little patch of sand near the back door while we all sat around the picnic table. Plenty of extra pillows and blankets, even two roll away beds in the upstairs closet. Would love to stay here again.
Angela B.Jun 2017
Beautiful house that is in a great location and has everything needed to enjoy your stay.
Timothy H.Jun 2017
My family and I had a wonderful time here. It was beautiful nostalgic and the price was awesome. I would recommend it to anyone.
Blaine H.Jun 2017
Great home base. We were able to go up and down the coast to see the sights with ease. We enjoyed watching the sea lions in the bay across from the house. We were close to the beach and had a lot of fun.
Kristin K.Jun 2017
Such a wonderful place to spend a long weekend. Definitely recommend this house to anyone looking to get away from it all.
Michal M.Jun 2017
This home is across the street from a little bay beach. We stayed with another family and our children really enjoyed playing both at the beach and in the home. We had small dogs with us and the fenced yard kept them safe. The home was clean and the kitchen is well stocked. We had a great stay!
Beverly V.Apr 2017
Very nice home. Lots of space, beautiful yard. Had a wonderful time.
Kami T.Oct 2016
Was decorated really cute. But floors were dirty and house had a musty smell. Had to have windows open to sleep at night due to smell.
If you or ant family members are big or tall the beds were comfortable if you had the bed to yourself, but sharing was a bit cramped. Was a quite location. Outside of rental could use a real good clean up.
Emily B.Apr 2016
My mom, sister, our husbands, and kids were all able to sleep comfortably in this house. The beds were all very comfortable, no saggy mattresses or poky springs and there were so many blankets, linens, and towels. Three times as many as the $600 a night place my brother had rented up the street. The house on a whole was comfortable, well furnished, and the kitchen knives were even sharp! The house has an antique feel that is cozy and comfortable, like going to Grandma's for vacation or your favorite great aunt's. The yard is quaint with a nice big tree, an old apple tree and several beautiful flowers. The location may seem odd at first but we loved being right in town. We were able to walk to the grocery store and cafes! We loved this house so much and it is such a good value that we will be renting it again this year, maybe even twice! If you want a bright sunny, cheery house that has room for a big family and is an amazing value this is the place. The only downside was the internet is slow, but hey that's the coast for you, and that there wasn't any complete board games. Otherwise this house felt like home. Nobody wanted to leave. P.S the neighbors are all very nice.
Christina B.Mar 2016
The property is beautiful and the stay was great. There were a few flaws like an upstairs door knob being broken the upstairs power went out due to a breaker switch flipping and when we woke up in the morning there was a homeless guy in the woodshed. We called the owners who were very prompt and quick at responding to our needs. This is a great vacation rental. My family and I will definitely rent here again
