We were so happy we chose this rental! Each room looks like it belongs in the pages of a Domino or Dwell magazine; every room is bright and clean. There are many different places to lounge around (helpful if two families share it), the kitchen easily has the most cooking utensils/accessories that I've ever seen in a rental, the wraparound deck has a dining table and outdoor bbq grill, there's a swing bench/chair that the kids loved, and not only are there great records to play on the Crosley, there were a ton of board games in the game room. The pingpong table and foosball table were great; the only disappointment is that we did not use the video game table as we had hoped because the volume is incredibly loud, and we couldn't figure out to lower it.
Whoever designed and decorated this home did an amazing job; I joked more than once that I'd love to have them come redo our own home. It's a short drive into town, so that was convenient as well.

We would definitely rent this place again, and I highly recommend it!

Wow! The property is simply beautiful. All the furnishings and decorating touches throughout have been brought together to create a unique and wonderful space. Everything was inviting, clean and functioned as expected. From the gorgeous kitchen with its user-friendly appliances to the living area with the best-looking TV I’ve ever seen, our stay was relaxing and pleasant. The turntable and vinyl collection are also a nice touch. My family listened to music and prepared a meal together, it was a great time. The views from inside with the wall of windows are just as charming as the views to be seen outside from the wrap around deck. You will be in for a visual treat. During our excursions we had fun exploring all the little shops in the nearby town, which also had a number of options for dining as well. I would highly recommend and can’t wait to stay here again!

Our stay at Cedar Haus was beautiful! As soon as you walk in the cabin opens up to reveal not only how gorgeous the cabin is, but lush wooded areas surrounding. The tv in the living room is huge and made Netflix even more fun! I loved how open the whole house was, and the kitchen is a dream. Huge kitchen island, and plenty of space to make a meal with family and friends in style. We had a lot of fun and relaxation, and would love to visit again!

I had the best time at Cedar Haus!!! The kitchen is amazing!!! The dishwasher holds so much stuff, the oven is to die for and there is every implement you could ever need! And the beds are super comfortable! Every amenity has been carefully thought of! The view is incredible, and you are in the trees! Loved this place so much!!!

Cedar Haus was absolutely fantastic. Very clean and stylish, every detail was scrutinized when this home was designed. All bedrooms and bathrooms are fully stocked with all amenities and the kitchen was completely loaded with every tool and utensil a top level chef could ever want. The location is ideal, providing just the right amount of seclusion but close enough to the charming town of Idyllwild. Trail heads to countless hikes are a quick car ride away or simply adventure right out from the front door. This house checks all of the boxes and then some, it will exceed your expectations and help create the memories we all strive for. If you are looking to stay in this area then look no further, you will not find a better property on the mountain.

A luxury getaway retreat right down the way from downtown Idyllwild - By far the nicest vacation rental I have ever stayed in. Well-appointed, clean, and in a quiet neighborhood this is a perfect place to get away from the city and into the peace and tranquility of Idyllwild. The space is large, well-decorated, and well-designed. You can tell a lot of thought was put into each fixture, blanket, and art piece. There is everything you could want to relax or to keep entertained, a very cool game room downstairs with ping pong, foosball, a sit-down multi-video game table, and an ample supply of board games. Space upstairs has a warm and cozy fireplace and an open kitchen design that is perfect for having that dinner prep conversation. The rooms and bathrooms are super clean, super comfortable, and well-stocked! The attention to detail is amazing. Will definitely be back again soon.

Highly recommend the Cedar Haus. My family loves to visit Idyllwild. It’s a peaceful, beautiful place to relax for a weekend away from city life. The artsy quirkiness of this small town has always appealed to us. We love listening to the live music so many of the restaurants provide, browsing one-of-a-kind treasures in the local shops, and taking nature walks from the trailheads at the Discovery Center. After many trips to Idyllwild over the years, we were really thrilled to be at the Cedar Haus to celebrate our anniversary recently. Talk about stunning! To start with, the location was perfect. A short drive from town, it felt nice and secluded in a well-kept neighborhood. Get ready to enjoy the sound of birds chirping and wind blowing through the treetops. The wrap-around deck is the perfect place to take advantage of this while you enjoy your morning cup of coffee. The home itself looks like it is right out of a magazine! Every detail was selected thoughtfully for both design and comfort. We felt quite pampered by the luxury of our surroundings. The game room downstairs was fully stocked with entertainment options for young and old alike. After the sun sets, you can gather around the fireplace with your loved ones. We enjoyed the gorgeous view from upstairs at night - you can see the twinkling of city lights all the way down the mountain range. Stunning! This place is a must stay.

The neighborhood is gorgeous and the house is beyond stunning! I’m not sure if a professional designer-curated this house but the pictures don’t do it justice. There wasn’t a detail missed. We recently stayed with another family and it fit 8 of us perfectly. Usually, you find something missing or an item you wish you had while cooking but Cedarhouse had it covered. From a fully stocked kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances (omg that coffee machine) to wonderful smelling shampoos in the spa-like bathrooms and a game room from your wildest childhood dreams! We wished we had booked it longer and we cannot wait to get back. It is centered super close to downtown so if you need a market or a place to eat dinner out you only need to drive a short distance. Thanks for having us!

Our family really enjoyed our time at the amazingly designed Cedar Haus. Everything in the house is top notch with fun details throughout from the vintage record player in the living room to the game room downstairs, which our son and daughter couldn't get enough of. It's unique layout features a master bedroom loft and balcony lounge nook that overlooks the living room, allowing you to feel connected to your family throughout the house even if you may not be in the same room. Huge windows overlook Pine Cove allowing you to take in nature from the living room along with a deck that wraps the main floor. It also has a great backyard and deck off the master bedroom as well. The kitchen is awesome and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. The beds are super comfortable as well. It's an amazing property that the owners have taken a ton of care in building and furnishing. We look forward to staying there again! There are fun restaurants and things to do in town but we found ourselves just hanging out enjoying Cedar Haus most the time!

My family and I just got back from a long weekend at the Cedar Haus and boy, did we have fun! First off, the house is stunning!! I probably spent the first hour taking in all of the design elements. From the beautiful kitchen to the breathtaking bathrooms, this house is a designer's dream. It is not your typical rental, all of the finishes and furnishings are top notch. That includes a full stocked kitchen with top-grade appliances and the most comfortable beds you will ever sleep in. Our kids had a blast too. They spent hours playing ping pong, foosball, hanging out on the wrap around deck, on the porch swing and playing in the woods around the house. We had a great time in the quaint little downtown too. The Idyllwild Brewpub is a must as well as The Candy Cupboard for homemade chocolates and shaved ice. We can't wait to go back in the winter for a weekend in the snow.
