Delightful Northern Retreat w/ Gas Grill, Free WiFi & Easy Access to Redwoods

Get away from it all and make the best memories with loved ones in the fresh air of Orick! Spend all day exploring the towering trees of the area and return to home base each evening to relax in style. When everyone has worked up an appetite, the full kitchen boasts a gas range, breakfast bar seating, and all of the utensils needed to whip up tasty recipes. If you're feeling like a more casual dining option, head out to the back deck to cook up some burgers using the private gas grill and dine al fresco at the picnic table. When the stars come out, everyone can settle in for a movie night by plopping down on the plush sofa and streaming Netflix on the flatscreen TV.

What's nearby:
Sitting on beautiful acreage, this retreat is just the place to get away from it all while still being a mere three miles from the heart of Orick. The Northern California Coast is known for its raw beauty and towering trees, and you will have access to it all within minutes of your front door. If hiking is on the agenda, simply make your way to the Trillium Falls Trail (one mile), Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park (three miles), or the famous Redwood National and State Parks (10 miles south). Then explore the primeval ferns of Fern Canyon and the moody beaches of Northern California, and learn their secrets on a guided tour with Redwood Adventures. You can also get your fill of salty air and soft sand by following Davison Road to Golden Bluffs Beach.

The cabin was very comfortable and very clean , although we didn’t see any Elk on the property, we did see Elk in town, they were fun to see

The town of Orick is very small with not much to do, but most everything we were looking for was within an hour car ride. Rental was very clean and comfortable. We didn’t realize the unit did not have its own washer and dryer and it would’ve been more convenient if it did, but we adjusted with no problem. the Wi-Fi wasn’t good, but it probably made us spend time doing things together so I think it worked out great. The elk and hiking trails were amazing.

We loved our stay and enjoyed the surroundings. We were bummed out that we didn’t see any Elk. The Elk were why we chose this place to stay. Sorry we mixed the dishes with our 2 houses!

We were taken aback by the sheer number or and closeness of the Elk. Fun to witness and take photos.
The place was very clean, equipped with the basics. People should know to bring food and groceries as there were few places to go to.

Well equipped kitchen. Very friendly staff ;Jill from housekeeping who promptly resupplied us and Pearse from Redwood Adventures who was very helpful over the phone on several occasions. The setting is beautiful and tranquil. The elk visited the property 3 out of 4 days we were there, what a treat to see them so close. Very nice cabin ,homey feel and nicely decorated.

Beautiful cabin! We truly enjoyed being there. We were fortunate enough to pull in to the cabin and be surrounded by 20-40 elks (young babies to elderly)

We loved this cozy cabin and enjoyed watching the elk herds walk by. Very quiet, clean, and cheerfully decorated. It's located near many beautiful redwood trails and scenic destinations. We will definitely stay here again in the future.
