The house was immaculate. The views from the house are stunning especially at sunrise. There was four of us in the house and we had plenty of room and were comfortable. My only complaint is finding the house at night via both and Google maps and Waze was not accurate. I reached out to Vacasa for assistance, the person who assisted me went by the same maps and was not able to help. It being dark at the time we arrived with no lights on at the house only a small sign at the end of the driveway with the house number made it difficult finding it. It would be helpful if there was a bigger number sign or maybe an outside light on to make locating the house easier at night because Google maps and Waze are not correct on the location of the house.

This vrbo is beautiful and immaculate! It has a beautiful view. It’s an hour from Bar Harbor so it’s a little out of the way. We arrived when it was dark and it took us over an hour to find it. It is not well marked. We paid a $230 cleaning fee yet we were required to wash the towels and sheets and take the trash to the curb. Not sure what was left for the cleaning service to do. I go on vacation to get away from doing laundry!! Overall, it’s a wonderful vrbo. This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.

We had a fabulous stay at this lovely rental. It was clean, well-stocked, a peaceful location and exactly what we hoped for.We loved Schoodic peninsula and had fun exploring the area. This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.

The house was really nice: located on a small harbor leading directly to the ocean, peaceful and relaxing, great views all day long through large living room windows. House was clean and lovely—2 bedrooms with queen beds. 2 bathrooms—both upstairs—master bath had a jet tub and a separate standing shower, very nice.
Beautiful home—will definitely return. This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.

We had a great time in Maine, and hope to return. This house is great. has everything you need, and the view can`t be beat! As others have said, if you are going to spend your time in Bar Harbor, you will be driving an hour each way, and that does get tiresome. The Schoodic part of Acadia though is beautiful and the lesser crowds are a plus. This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.

The property is located in a beautiful section of Birch Harbor. We enjoyed the quietness and watching the lobster boats come and go. We loved having fresh lobster for dinner. This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.

Buy your groceries before you arrive, buy your Lobster from the local pounds in Winter Harbor, and simply settle in for sunset. We wanted a house on the Schoodic Peninsula with a view of water, in a location from which we could easily walk or bike ride as well as explore further Downeast. We were very happy spending a week here. The home provides a feeling of serenity with its glorious view of the harbor plied by lobster boats and is close to the trails of this quiet and beautiful slice of Acadia N.P. Everything was immaculately clean and Turnkey was very responsive to a couple of small issues we encountered. Our one recommendation would be to provide some instructions regarding how to use the entertainment system and adjust the heating. Overall, we would be more than happy to return. Overall had a great stay. The house was clean (interior and exterior) and we had no issues with checking in/out. The house was exactly as described and pictured, and the view is AMAZING! I was a little skeptical reading other reviews about TurnKey, but honestly they were great to deal with. They were very responsive and had great customer service.

All of that being said, the location of the place is not ideal. This is nothing against the listing or TurnKey, but something I wish I researched a bit more before booking (which is why I’m including it here - so you won’t have to research as much!). Birch harbor is a town of about 125 people, and there is literally NOTHING around except for a gas station about 10 minutes up the road. We spent most of our time in Bar Harbor, which was about 1 hour 10 minute drive (one way). Again this may not be a negative for some people, but I think you should be comfortable with the fact that you’ll have to drive about an hour to get anywhere. But if you’re looking for a quiet place to relax, are comfortable with driving, and plan on biking (there was a bike trail less than half a mile up the road), then this is a great spot. Even knowing what I do about the area, I would still book again if I were looking for a quiet place to stay with a great view (and a substantially large yard if you are traveling with children). Overall great place and I would definitely recommend! This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.
