We ended up here on a whim when we were planning on staying at another placeamd booked it at 8pm the day of arrival.

The great: This home is located in Rumbling Bald resort complex which has a ton of stuff to do. There is a beautiful white sand beach, great pool with a small lazy river, an indoor pool, tennis and pickle ball courts, hiking trails which were awesome, golf courses that looked beautiful and I am sure there is a bunch of other stuff we didnt dicover in the two days we were there.

The good: The house is spacious with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a back patio that is finished as another bedroom with a double and trundle bed a L-shape sectional and dining room style table, a fairly large front porch and a large back porch that is screened in and it also had a fire pit out back. The home is a bit dated and could use a bit of a facelift but we didnt go there to spend time in the house. We did run out of TP and trash bags but we also booked it 2 hours before we got there so I imagine that was a bit of a rush and maybe they didnt get a chance to stock everything. They did have a Blackstone grill that was very useful in preparing meals on a large scale.

The bad: We arrived after dark coming from the north and the road to get in is insanely curvy and you feel like you are lost. I am sure if we had gotten here during the day it wouldnt be that bad but we left going south to continue our vacation. Honestly this was the only bad part about our stay.

Overall: I would definitely stay here again and truly look forward to staying at Lake Lure for more than 2 nights and hope to come back for golf.
