Call dibs on whichever of the three bedrooms suits your fancy, and then continue exploring your cabin. The main living space is wide open, which means the chef won’t feel left out of the conversation while they’re preparing meals in the well-equipped kitchen. There’s plenty of counter space, including a large breakfast bar, perfect for a snack or bowl of cereal. When it’s time to eat, there’s an adjacent dining room for six or, if the weather is nice, a table on your back deck.

Once you’ve eaten, head out to explore your surroundings. You’re right next to the Chattahoochee National Forest, and plenty of hiking and mountain biking opportunities as well. If you’d like to stay closer to home, the Coosawattee River Resort, of which this cabin is a part, offers tons of shared amenities that guests can utilize. The recreation center offers an indoor pool (heated during winter), a basketball court, a tennis court, an 18- hole mini-golf course, video arcade, and fitness center. There’s also an indoor, heated kiddie pool and two outdoor pools, open during the summer. Now it’s time to revisit that fireplace – return to your cabin after a day out adventuring and get cozy. The TV is upstairs in the loft (along with a combination game table), but downstairs, it’s just you, your group, and conversation about the fun you had that day.
