Riverfront getaway w/ spacious deck, dock, and firepit! On 16 acres!

Escape to this comfortable and spacious Whitefish retreat for 10 and enjoy a serene riverfront location on 16 acres, a dock on the river, and a lot of authentic and cozy Montana lodge-style decor.

Only seven miles from downtown Whitefish, you'll be close to conveniences in town, yet surrounded by your own private walking trails and grassy fields. Majestic Glacier National Park is just 35 miles away at the Apgar Visitor Center in West Glacier. Historic Kalispell is about 20 miles away and offers more dining and shopping options.

Inside this gorgeous log bungalow, the living room features a stone wood-burning fireplace, tall angled ceilings, and plenty of space for everyone to settle back and relax. Read a good book in front of the fire or gaze out the windows at the rushing Stillwater River.

The charming full kitchen (newly remodeled) features all major appliances for whipping up meals for your group and the dining area and breakfast bar has seats for all. Start the day off with banana pancakes and end it with a baked vegetable lasagna.

There is one bedroom on the entry level of the home, one in the basement, and two on the upper level. You'll have one king bed, a queen, one full bed, and six twins (including one bunk bed), as well as two bathrooms. A bonus room holds a pool table and other entertainment amenities here include a new flatscreen cable TV and free WiFi.

When it's nice out, you can hike around the property or prepare a feast out on the gas grill. There's an outdoor firepit for after-dinner s'mores and a dock on the river is the perfect spot for swimming or fishing.

If you visit in February, head to town for the Whitefish Winter Carnival or in summer, peruse August's Huckleberry Days Art Festival. Go kayaking or fishing in nearby Whitefish Lake or simply enjoy some iced tea on the back porch and watch the kids play in the yard.

No matter if you visit Montana to explore Glacier National Park or get away from it all at a peaceful retreat, this Stillwater Homestead is sure to be the highlight of your vacation.

We rented this cabin with 4 adults and 4 kids and we had room to spare. The view is absolutely stunning and the yard was perfect for four boys under 11! Kitchen was well equipped and house was clean.

We had a wonderful time at the Stillwater Homestead. The setting is lovely, the layout of the house is great and everything is very comfortable. There is space for people to play outside and inside and more room for others to nap. The kitchen is functional and the deck and outdoor seating were used by all of us. Many of us enjoyed the badminton and swimming. We enjoyed grilling chicken and burgers.

There is no better location and view in Whitefish than the setting at the Stillwater cottage. 10 minutes from downtown offers pure county with pine trees, river and mountain views. The rustic, western furnishings provide a cozy place to relax around the fire. We felt as though we were in a different country where the only sound is the wind rushing through the trees.
