Picturesque Cabin - Ponds, Fireplace, AC, WiFi - Snowbird, Biker & Pet-Friendly

A picturesque getaway in the heart of Maggie Valley, this charming cabin is located at Mountain Joy Cottages. Spanning over four acres with 12 different dwellings, this property is a beautiful slice of Smoky Mountain paradise. A genuine piece of history, this land was originally the homestead of Maggie Setzer, the namesake of Maggie Valley. The peaceful park-like setting is encased in incredible mountain views. Multiple spring-fed ponds and streams present wonderful opportunities for trout fishing, duck feeding, and even watching free-roaming elk at dusk - a truly magical sight! Perfect for large groups, a shared central lawn features a wood-burning firepit, grills, horseshoes, basketball, picnic tables, corn hole, a playground, and even an in-ground pool (seasonal).

The lovely Wolf cabin offers a cozy place to rest after days of adventure. Detailed with wood floors and a wood-burning fireplace, the living area also has a flatscreen TV with cable. Start your mornings with tea on the covered porch. The kitchen is appointed with everything you need to create your favorite meals. Mountain Joy is welcome to everyone - families, dogs, motorcycles, and snowbirds! Added perks include free WiFi as well as central air-conditioning and heat. The wonderful locale provides the best access to the best of the area!

The cabin was clean and comfortable. Nice quiet area. Updated bathroom. Nice linens. Kitchen nicely stocked. Inside of fridge was clean. Convenient parking.
Some minor maintenance issues but nothing that kept us from enjoying the stay. No drawer storage or clothes hangers in bedrooms. No hair dryer.
Manager response:
Angela, we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry for any issues you may have encountered during your stay. In the future please contact us with any maintenance issues. Local staff are always available to assist if you have any concerns. Unfortunately, hair dryers are not a standard amenity for this home. We hope to host you again

Live it was rustic and had great views. Had a great area for kids to run and play. Pool was closed for the winter. Cornhole needed bags. Pet owners need to pick up after pets. WiFi in #2 never worked and there was no router or help to get connected. But hey for 3 of us it worked. Get the WiFi right.
Manager response:
Hi, Quincy! We're glad you stayed with us and apologize you had some inconveniences. The WiFi does work though it can be intermittent due to location and number of cabins. We always encourage pet owners to clean up after their pets and have asked local staff to check for any missed droppings in the future. Thank you!

The wolf lodge was quite comfortable.. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star was because the refrigerator refrigerator exterior needs some looking after and Initially when the heat kicked on it Smelled a little musty. After a while the smell went away. It was a pleasant stay.

The cabin was super clean and cozy… perfect for a relaxing weekend and gorgeous snow! The elk and ducks were amazing! Only wish was that there had been a washer/dryer either in cabin or on site.
