Serene mountain-view cabin with geothermal hot tub, indoor steam sauna & deck

Spend your days taking in the splendor of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area at this modern, minimalist cabin, where you'll wake up each morning to a spectacular scene of the woods, the surrounding mountains, and the mighty Columbia River filtered through the trees.

This cabin is one of six that make up the 100-acre Tenzen Cabins and Springs, a serene retreat on a meadow bluff just outside the town of Stevenson. On this property lined with native fir, hemlock, and oak trees, you can take in gorgeous views of the Silver Star Scenic Area, Wind Mountain, and stunning night skies.

Step inside to find a 250-square-foot interior living space with lofty ceilings and a wall of windows framing the woods and the river below. The chic studio design includes a built-in platform bed and sitting area, such at-home comforts as WiFi and mini-split air conditioning, and a kitchenette with a minifridge, a microwave, a Keurig, and an assortment of utensils.

Accessed through the bathroom is a truly special outdoor space of 600 square feet, offering a wrap-around deck, an outdoor shower, and an open-air infinity tub with pure geothermal spring water sourced from 3,000 feet below the Wind River. The indoor bathroom shower also has a steam sauna.

This cabin is one of six on the grounds of Tenzen Cabins and Springs. The other cabins - Cabin 1, Cabin 3, Cabin 4, Cabin 5, and Cabin 6 - are available to rent as well; all six can be rented together as Cabins 1-6.

This was a perfect weekend and reset into the new year! We will be back for SURE!!!

Tenzen Springs was such a fantastic experience for us to have a relaxing getaway for my husbands birthday! It really felt like they thought of everything. From modern technology and design that is functional and minimalistic to quality shampoo, a large soaking tub, beautiful sauna, and butt-warming toilet seats! We especially loved the bathing program and instructions provided, as we are new to the spa experience. They outlined suggested steps and time frames that we found really thoughtful to guests. It was so peacefully quiet and serene, even while soaking, you wouldn’t know there were other guests on the property! There was even a herd of elk in the meadow that made an appearance as we entered and left our stay. Thank you so much to the Yoshida family for sharing such a special piece of your home and culture with us. We will absolutely be returning!

Super relaxing, authentic onsen experience! American hotels could never match the level of thoughtfulness and consideration of guest experience. I wish I could live here lol.

We loved our time here. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The cabin is small but well appointed and had everything we needed. We're hoping to come back regularly!

We love Tenzen! The soaking routine is so relaxing, and we always get amazing sleep. The view of the trees and water is so peaceful. A great retreat!

We were pleased that the cabins were far enough away from each other to offer real privacy. We had all we needed and thoroughly enjoyed the bath- we opened the doors to the big trees and soaked. Great getaway!

The whole vibe of the cabin was amazing. Loved the private tub, comfy bed, outdoor peace. We would've liked the option of a TV.

We were thrilled by our two -night stay at Tenzen Springs. Our cabin (#2) was comfortable, nicely furnished and delivered on its promise of providing a retreat with various Japanese relaxation options, especially its wood soaking tub with geothermal hot waters. We followed the regimen laid out in a helpful printed handout. We also like the amazingly comfortable queen bed, the panoramic deck with two chairs and a table, the surprisingly well-stocked little kitchen with microwave and refrigerator. The lovely hilltop property on which the six cabins are thoughtfully sited provided a serene setting, albeit somewhat marred by the frequent passage of loud freight trains day and night. This turned out to be one of the finest getaway sites we have enjoyed here in the Pacific Northwest. Kudos to the owners for the special place they have created here.

Very quiet at location. The system of soaking and steaming makes it a one stop private mini vacation.
The wild turkey's are a fun watch. Overall a very relaxing getaway.

Tenzen cabins and Springs was absolutely incredibly experience.
From the time my wife and I entered the gate, was absolutely 💯 beautiful.
Everything from the the geothermal hot springs tub to the steam shower, was everything that made for a fabulous couple days.
We plan on coming back 3 times a year to a truly beautiful place.
The bonus was getting to see the Elk and turkeys up close. Thank you Tenzen.
Be back very soon.
