We rented this home with family, including some younger children, visiting for a graduation from LMU. We chose this property, even though a little more expensive than others, because it had a private pool that said it would be available starting in May, when we were there.

Sadly, the pool had the cover still on when we arrived. We contacted Vacasa only to learn the pool would not open until near May 25th, a week from when we were there. I did request payment adjustment since that was the reason we were willing to pay more for this property. Vacasa did oblige with a $56 dollar per night refund.

The property is nice. A couple small challenges like no closet space on first floor, as the master bedroom closet is locked for storage and other two closets (one that apparently is supposed to be a pantry, as there’s no place to store food) were also taken up with cleaning type supplies and pillows. This was difficult for us as we all had dress clothes, as well as clothes that needed hanging. There are a lot of hooks available in master bathroom, but not really sufficient for many clothes. The utility room is close to the master, but the wire shelf with hanging space is about 3 feet over the washing machine so most items wouldn’t hang freely there. There are futons for sleeping, but there were no sheets/blankets available for them until someone came the second day (we arrived late first night) and got them from locked master bedroom closet.

The home was clean except for some dead bugs in master shower and in a few various other areas on floor. No big deal, as it’s a rural area.

Obviously, it’s a two story home and there isn’t zoned air conditioning. Upstairs was hot (in May, glad it wasn’t full blown summer) so we turned down air to try to accommodate, but first floor was cold. We wound up closing most air vents in master bedroom to make the temperature better while sleeping.

There is a fire pit with chairs around outside on the lawn. This would’ve been nice except rules say no fires can be built. Rules state that you are to wash and put away dishes. Sounded fair and we did so, but no way to know if previous guests have actually done that.

It’s a nice home that is in a beautiful area, with some imperfections (like anywhere). Not sure if we would rent it again for that price, but some people may think it’s worth it.
