The house is an easy walk from River Street, making driving unnecessary for most outings in Savannah. It is also an easy drive to Tybee is you wish to visit the beach on your trip.

The home itself was easy to access and comfortably furnished. I would definitely recommend this location if you are traveling to Savannah

Quiet location near main streets and squares to interesting destinations. Home needs a deep cleaning. All in all, loved it!

After reading some of the previous reviews, we were a bit skeptical about our decision to stay here. We were expecting to be overwhelmed with pet odor and dust immediately upon arrival. However, quite the contrary. Looks like the owners had taken heed to previous reviews and ensured the place was cleaned thoroughly...there were no odors when we walked in.

We were also concerned with the parking situation, which turned out to be no situation at all. We parked right in front of the house and paid just $12 to park from 8am-8pm daily. I am saying "just" $12 because the rate can easily be $12/hr where we live in DC. We walked everywhere and moved the car just once to drive to Tybee Island. When we returned, our same parking space was still available right in front of the house. The location is perfect for walking and seeing the sights. We felt comfortable starting out early and arriving back at sunset each day. There was something near by for everyone...restaurants, parks, museums, name it.

The main reason for our trip was to eat at The Grey, with Chef Mashama Bailey. While we had tried unsuccessfully for a couple of months to get reservations, we were told to get there at 4pm and stand in line because the restaurant always saved some spaces for walk-ins. We were the first in line and not only got an excellent spot at the bar (the best seats in the house), but also met Chef Bailey and took pictures with her. We highly recommend The Grey...just make your reservation months in advance or get there at 4pm and stand in line (they open at 5pm).

Now, please be advised there is a unit above this unit and you will be able to hear every foot step, every flush of the toilet, and every drop of water that flows through the pipes. While the TV and music were not loud, it always sounded as though they were running laps and their bladders were always full :). Other than that, this is a great property and excellent location. We would definitely stay here again.

This was a wonderful place to stay had everything we needed and dog friendly! The bed was very comfortable . Great internet service. Everything in walking distance. I definitely would stay here again!

We were able to book this place a month out, and so appreciated having an apartment to access. Pros: Comfortable bed, Crawford square, Fig and Fox blocks away, Savannah early morning and late evening walks, historic downtown all within easy access. Cons: Pictures were much better than the condition we rented. Fans and some decor had a layer of dust. Vacuum was unplugged so could not work but got it ready for the next guest. Bathroom has a really strong odor so put some extra effort into cleaning even when we first got there. For folks who are not coming with dogs, you can definitely tell that there has been some wear and tear, lots of dander and dust- had to air the place out a bit. Overall would rent again though! Savannah, you are a dream.
Manager response:

Having a bedroom and a living room was amazing. The full kitchen was a bonus. Everything was spacious and perfect for a couples getaway weekend. The location was absolutely perfect as we were able to park on the street ($12/fee per day) and literally walk everywhere that we wanted to go in less than 20 minutes. Definitely will be coming back next year!

This place was perfect for our long weekend away in beautiful Savannah. It was close to everything in the historic district, Parking was easy, and we didn’t need our car once there except to go out to Tybee Island. A truly charming and cozy place. We’re already planning our next visit!
JD N. Jan 2022
We had a 3 day stay in this cute place.
It was very well equipped with anything you would want. It was 30 degrees the whole time and the heat worked great and there were plenty of extra blankets for sleeping or lounging in the couch. Plenty of apps on the roku to enjoy movies and shows. We found the location to be perfect. Short walks to Forsyth park, river front and not jammed downtown. Parking was easy too. There were plenty of spots open and a pay station on the corner of Hull and Hudson.
Jonathan H. Nov 2021
Weekend getaway was a huge success. The location is perfect and we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. It was clean and very comfortable.
Denise C. Oct 2021
We really enjoyed our stay. Very private and nice to be in a neighborhood rather than a hotel. Very convenient for restaurants, walking, and site seeing. Close to Riverwalk. Morning, afternoon, and evening carriages pass directly in front on way to the stables. Important to know the main bed is a queen, not king size. Plenty of towels, sheets, pillows.
Jose M. Oct 2021
The unit was clean and spacious. Parking was easy and we were walking distance from most of our favorite spots.
Duett P. Oct 2021
This is a cozy place to stay. Convenient location and parking. Will book again!
JENNA H. Jul 2021
This was a perfect little house to rent for vacay! It was so much nicer being able to stay in a house for the week rather than stay in a hotel. It had everything we needed amenity-wise (dishwasher, washer/dryer, coffee maker, full kitchen, etc). The bed was comfy and everything was clean. It was nice to come back from a day of exploring and relax in the living room. And the house was in the perfect location, right next to Crawford Square! It was super quiet at night in the area, which was a pleasant surprise, but still close enough to the hustle and bustle of Bay St and River St! Will definitely be staying here again!
Lisa M. Jun 2021
This home was very clean. Bathroom had a small shower but still enough to shower in. Within walking distance to many things.
Tammi W. May 2021
We relaxed on an awesome couch watching Netflix after a wonderful touring savannah.
Jonathan R. Apr 2021
Our location was excellent. Walking distance to just about anywhere you would like to go in historic Savannah. River st. easy to get to as well as downtown.
Rebecca S. Mar 2021
This apartment is conveniently located and within walking distance of the beautiful neighborhoods of Savannah. As one reviewer had noted, the sofa and chair in the main room have stains on the fabric and have seen better days. But we did not spend much time in the apartment, and the rest of the place was very clean, and the kitchen had what we needed. We were able to park on the street, although that can't be guaranteed. It was a great place to explore Savannah.

Location could not have been better for a couples get away (with our dog): walking distance to everything, beautifully decorated, and super friendly neighborhood. Amenities galore!
Margaret A. Sep 2020
Very clean and orderly. Location fabulous for walking to water and around town. Full stove and refrigerator wonderful for eating in rather than going out for every meal. Bed comfortable! Would definitely come back and highly recommend.
Londa J. Sep 2020
This home was on a quiet street but still close to everything. The bed was horrible, just flat out terrible. We slept the first night on it and what a mistake. Both of us were in so much pain that it took our breath away. It was the most awful morning experience of any rental property I have been too. Needless to say the next two nights we slept on the couch. I tried to email the rental people with no response until I sent a text the following day. We only had one more day to deal with it so we did just that. Also, upon getting into the bed I always check it out. I know it is pet friendly but the amount of hair on the sheet was bad. I think it was because instead of washing the comforter they just flipped it over (it was upside down when we got there) maybe they wash it every other time? So I found a bag of sheets and changed it out. The towels were the same story. We don’t mind a little pet hair but it was a good amount. So, the plus side is that it was exactly like the pictures and super cute. The amenities were very useful and were great to have on hand. The check in was simple and efficient. But the bed was enough to have us not return to this rental.
Manager response:
Thank you for your feedback, Londa. While we acknowledge that beds will not suit everyone's specific preferences, we regret that it was not suitable for your party. We apologize for the delay in response to your email. We strive to have excellent, guest-focused service and prompt response times. We do launder all linens between each guest, and we regret any discomfort you may have had due to the pet hair. We are happy to promptly address issues as they arise and encourage our guests to call our 24 hour Guest Services line to provide our local staff the opportunity to address any concerns. We value your communication, and hope we have another opportunity to better impress you in the future!
Larry G. Aug 2020
Overall the house had what we needed, and was a comfortable stay. Just a few issues

Some crevices within the bathroom and shower area were very dirty
Couch was stained. It was still comfy, just had stains assuming from other guests
AC was very confusing and would not cool down to set temp. It had four presets that were a pain to tweak, but even after adjusting all of them, it would not cool to within a couple degrees of the set temperature

Keep in mind if you’re doing street parking, it’s $12/day. Parking was at least easy to find.
Calvin F. Jun 2020
It was great to have a place during our relocation that was dog friendly. It was a great location for walking around downtown without driving and trying to find parking.
Benjamin P. Jun 2020
Everything went well and we had a great time!
Gustavo F. May 2020
Super smooth and easy process. Apartment was bigger than it looks in the pictures, very clean and convenient. Parking was right outside and is free on Sundays. Great location.
William E. Feb 2020
Comfortable apartment in a quiet neighborhood close to all of Savannah’s attractions. Would rent it again!
Juliana K. Nov 2019
We booked a week for our honeymoon and it was the perfect spot! It was only short walk to everything we wanted to do. We absolutely would book this location again.
Lyndee B. Oct 2019
We booked Savannah Hideaway for our honeymoon and it did not disappoint! It is in a great location where you can walk to many restaurants, museums, etc. The house was super clean and cozy!

P.S. If you’re not used to city parking, be sure to park facing the correct direction or they will write you a ticket! We got a $25 citation during our stay.
Thomas B. Oct 2019
This place is perfect for out-of-towners visiting Savannah. It's right in the historic district, well within walking distance for almost everything. (There's a great German beer haus right across the street.) Loved being so centrally located and it's awesome to have a full kitchen and laundry. Plus it's a very pretty townhouse as well. Very glad we found it.
Richard L. Sep 2019
This was so cozy and comfortable. Mary and I couldn't be happier. Sad we had to leave early due to hurricane Dorian. Will absolutely consider this place on any return trip to Savannah.

This quiet space on Craword Square offers everything a couple requires for comfort and easy walking distances south toward Forsyth Square Victorian District and north to Water Street on the Savannah River. During the week, we found on street parking available and affordable conveniently paid for at an on-street meter right in front of this home space.
Wendy B. May 2019

Crissie B. Sep 2018
We really enjoyed the location and the closeness to Broughten Street. The condo is a bit tight and can use a dehumidifier.
HOME V. Jul 2018
This hidden gem was a joy to stay in for our trip. Great for a couple or 2 people. Nice size kitchenette and good size bathroom. The only thing about the bathroom is that the shape of the shower is a little tight getting into but it's do-able. Also metered parking on the streets from 8a-8p. Overall great place and I will return!
Theophilus S. Jul 2018

Bettye P. Jul 2017
This condo was a great find! I have visited Savannah for the past 4 years while my daughter attended SCAD. This was one of my favorite places to stay! It was very clean, convenient, comfortable bed, and street parking was always found right at the front door! However, I never saw the DVD player. I was going to watch a movie when the storm came through and knocked out the cable. This was by far the quietest place I've stayed, and I enjoyed drinking my morning coffee just across the street in Crawford Square...I hope to stay here again.
Manager response:
We're so happy the guest has enjoyed the home while visiting her daughter. If she's graduated, we're still hoping she'll come back! The DVD player is located slightly behind the TV on the left side. Thank you.
Scott C. Jun 2017
Beautiful historic building with the tall ceilings and classic style/decorations we wanted staying in Savannah (updated kitchen and bath). The living room and bedroom are really comfortable. Condo was very clean. It is on a quiet historic square (old cistern buried in the square has a marker) about halfway between the river and Forsyth but closer to the river. Quick walk to everything, really nice buildings all around, and quick walk back but not right on the tourist path. Nice and private. Try the German restaurant nearby; barely has a sign up but really good.
Maggie W. Jun 2017
The apartment had everything we needed for a short stay. It has clearly been redone recently and is decorated so cute! It is right on the edge of the historic district. Very handy that you don't have to keep a key! Just a code on the lock! Overall, great stay! Will definitely come again!
