Mammoth was a perfect place for our family ski trip. It was very relaxing even on days that were not suitable for skiing. The condo was very spacious and comfortable for our family of 3 especially when there was a snowstorm and sleet/rain and nothing to do, we were so happy to be at the condo. Roberto's was very close for good Mexican and in all directions there's restaurants and shopping like Von's , Starbucks, and a Latin market with great take out. You can take a bus anywhere. The Red line is a short 5 minute walk and the Purple line is right outside the door of the condo. You never need to drive if you don't want to. When it snows there is a plow that cleans the parking area right away, Just move your car so the snow can be moved.

Downhill skiing on the mountain was, of course, great. But the cross-country course up at Tamarack Lodge was super as well.

Ski at the Main Lodge is the real experience. Many people choose to ski out of Canyon Lodge because of its proximity to town, but the trip up the mountain to Main Lodge is worth it. The Village is a great place to hang out and grab a bit to eat after a day of ski. And the Burger Restaurant, on Minaret Road, right across from the Village prepares really sublime hamburgers, and the service is great as well. You will not be disappointed.

We enjoyed the view from the look out point at twin lakes. Great picture spot! We enjoyed kayaking at Lake Mary. Next time we plan to take the free trolley up, & ride back down the mountain on our bikes in the designated bike lane that's separate from the road. It's a very scenic bike ride down!

In general, there are plenty of spots and sights to visit and see once you're up in Mammoth Lakes. If you're into, fishing, hiking, biking, sightseeing this is one of the best places to be and I'm not even mentioning all the winter activities that are available during that time of year.
