If you own a home in Colorado Springs, you know it’s not a run-of-the-mill ski town. Only a short drive south from Denver, there’s something for visitors to do at any time of year, like hiking Pike’s Peak, visiting the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, or—of course—skiing one of the nearby mountains. What draws you to your home attracts visitors too, and renting your place is a great way to capitalize on tourist activity near your home.
Before you start inviting guests to use your place, there are a few things you should know. Colorado Springs vacation rental permits cost $119 and require a tax license, proof of insurance, and a completed application. Colorado Springs has different tax rates based on the location of your home. At a minimum your guests will have to pay a 2.9 percent state sales tax, 1.23 percent county sales tax, 3.12 percent city sales tax, and a 2 percent city lodging tax. They may also have to cover a per-night booking fee if your home is in a certain part of town. Keep in mind that local regulations may change, so check in with the Colorado Springs zoning board to learn more about the regulations that affect your property.
While taxes and regulations can be complex, we’re here to help make vacation rental management simple. When you join us, you and your guests will get the support of our awesome local team. Because most of our housekeeping and maintenance employees have lived around Colorado Springs for a long time, they know the area well and take pride in their work. Our local teams are a part of a broader network of support. Your home will benefit from the dynamic technology and marketing of an international company without losing the friendly, personalized customer service you'd get from a small local company. So, contact us. We’d love to show you the potential of your vacation home.
Guests’ expectations are getting higher, especially when it comes to cleanliness. Our enhanced professional cleaning program, Vacasa Premium Clean, meets or exceeds CDC guidelines, so guests have extra confidence to rent your home.
Once your home is thoroughly cleaned, we treat hard and soft surfaces throughout the home with a hospital-grade, EPA-approved disinfectant, paying special attention to high-touch surfaces.
Employees are provided with personal protective equipment (gloves and face masks) to wear at all times while visiting homes for maintenance, housekeeping, or any other purpose.
Our upgraded cleaning measures and the additional time our housekeepers spend caring for your home all come at no extra cost to you or your guests.
Your listing will be prominently featured everywhere guests are searching, like Airbnb, Vrbo, and Booking.com. And our digital marketing specialists ensure Vacasa homes are highly visible across search engines, display advertising, social media, and email marketing.
We obsess over delivering a seamless, stress-free vacation for your guests, from booking the right home to stocking the bathroom toiletries. And if your guests have questions, our Customer Experience team is available around the clock to answer all guest phone calls and emails.
We believe in earning your long-term business, not locking you into an ironclad contract. We don't limit your use of your vacation home—so you can enjoy it whenever you like, and know that it'll be sparkling clean and ready for you when you get there. Your home will always be yours.
