We really liked the view and the sounds of the Gulf from our condo. The convenience to the beach was great. The sleeping arrangements were perfect for our family of 4.

Great location, loved being able to walk right out to the beach. Just enough space for 4 people and had all of our basic needs available. Could use some cosmetic updates.

First and foremost the customer service with Vacasa was great. We had several issues but the front desk staff and after hours phone staff were awesome. It was challenging because the cell service was horrible! So when we were trying to report that our air conditioning wasn’t working I had to stand in the middle of the road with my head turned a specific way to avoid losing connection. (Not anyone’s fault but the cell service provider) When maintenance tried to call they couldn’t get through to me. Fortunately he finally just showed up and confirmed that our AC had indeed stopped working (he said had been there that morning and thought it was fine because the unit felt comfortable.) Our key code didn’t work when we got there but they immediately resolved that. Our AC was out for a couple days and technicians were out twice to take care of it. One day they had to be there all morning so that took about half my beach day but I was grateful they were trying to fix it. It ended up going out again before we left but we didn’t bother with it. The good news is that the fans in the unit work tremendously well at keeping the unit cool despite the hot weather and no AC. Vacasa called to check on how the AC was working but because of our terrible phone service I couldn’t call back to talk but I appreciated them calling to check. The unit itself has had some upgrades the building of course shows its age. I can also see why the twin beds upstairs aren’t pictured. They are in a little attic space that freaked my kids out so they wouldn’t sleep there. Ha! Water pressure was great. Beds were fine. TV had Disney channel so my son was happy with that in the evenings. The appliances worked but were a little finicky. Even when you think the fridge and freezer is shut it might not be. We lost some ice cream over that one. There isn’t a pantry space so I was glad there was lots of counter space for our groceries. No table to sit at except outside. All of that can pretty much be looked over to have beach front access. We loved setting up in the morning (grateful that our portion of the beach in front of Eastern Shores hadn’t posted notice that we couldn’t set up a tent) and running inside as needed. You just can’t beat the convenience. Having an assigned parking spot is also great. A little annoyed by the umbrella service that kind of monopolizes the space at the front of the shore. I usually like to take my own chair down and set it where the waves come up and hit my toes. I couldn’t do that because all of the umbrella service chairs took that space away. Despite 30A being next level crowded compared to what we are used to when we come down each year our area in front of our condo building was not. That was great. But we didn’t make our usual stops in Seaside and Rosemary. Just too many people. We did go down to Grayton Brew Pub several times because we love it and the crowds were manageable there. Also made it Hurricane Oyster Bar because we got there early enough that we only had to wait an hour. Otherwise it was just too crowded to go to the usual joints we hit on 30A. I’m still grateful for the beach front access, great customer service, and the ability to take a vacation.
