Zoo World on Front Beach Rd., was the best! Especially the giraffe kisses! Many shopping places. Pier Park with all the unique shops. St. Andrews State Park, have great walking trails to view many kinds of birds, even alligators. So much to do, places to see , restaurants and churches for all denominations. Most importantly the beach is my favorite place to get away. This is my chill zone.

Firefly restaurant is a wonderful experience that should not be missed. It is a little high in cost, but they have "Sunset Specials" from 5:00 - 6:30 that are very reasonable ($14.95) on certain entrees. The Beef Tenderloin Medallions, Pan Seared Atlantic Salmon and She Crab Soup were FANTASTIC!!! The Beef Medallions tasted like top quality Filet Mignon and can only be found on the Sunset Specials! You only get 2, but they are thick and plenty filling with the rest of the meal. The salmon was a nice portion and the potatoes served with it were great! The She Crab Soup was so good! Our first time trying it. When the server suggests adding Sherry to it per the Chef's request--DO IT! Everyone added it but me, I was afraid it might spoil it's taste, but it actually made it taste better. It's just a dollop, but makes all the difference in it's taste. I'll always get it from now on!

The shops at Rosemary Beach were a bike ride away and were fun to peruse through. There are many great restaurants as well. Basically, you can park your car and not move it. The pool at the condo wasn't that great and unfortunately, we were not allowed entry into the lagoon pool near the townhouses behind the condo building. More on that below.....

Go to bringfido.com to find restaurants that are dog friendly if you've brought one with you. We went to Pineapple Willy's, Hook'd Panama City, Patches and Salty Sue's... which we found on that website. All of them were very accommodating to us with our dog.

The sunsets from the unit were amazing!

The entire town of both Panama City and Panama City Beach smells like a septic tank. I was told by locals it is because of a paper mill in the area. Also, the towns are overcrowded, dirty, and generally unpleasant. Traffic was terribly in October, I can only imagine what it is like "in season". Locals are not friendly or courteous.

The Boardwalk is a great resort especially with children. I'm usually very over protective with my children and with the amount of security they have throughout the building and at the pool, I was comfortable letting my 10, 12 and 13 year old kids go to the pool without me. But I did have a birds eye view of them from the 14th floor balcony :)

Gulf World was a wonderful place to stay hours under one fee. We had a great day that entertained our grandchildren and their kids. I swam with a dolphin and LOVED it. I will come back and do that again and again. Our great-grandkids were so happy with the shows and the 'feed and touch' animal areas. It was comfortable and interesting. The employees were friendly. The dolphin trainer (who name started with an "E"----Erica or Erin?---) was wonderful to us and to the six year old dolphin named Striker. Wonderful Sweet Striker......I am coming back to swim with him again!!!

There is a decent Mexican restraunt in the same little complex as well as a Wendy's and mellow mushroom within walking distance. The beach is a bit of a hike but worth the amount of money you spend. The major rd/strip is right outside your window though so don't expect to get any sleep.

The Mellow mushroom and Diego's were a favorite for the family. Ripely's believe or not was a fun entertaining place for the whole family. The beach is within walking distance. St. Andrew's State Park is beautiful and fun for snorkeling along the jetty rocks. Camp Helen State Park is also beautiful but is about a 20 min. hike to the beach from where the parking lot is located. Both are much less crowded than other beach area's . At night, people search with flashlights for ghost crabs on the beach. Bring your flashlight!

Do not know if it was this time of year or just a one time thing but the water outside the hotel was filled with green slimy seaweed. We ended up traveling 30 miles both directions down the shore for crystal clear water which was beautiful. We enjoyed and would highly recommend Gary's Seafood Shack. It's a bit of a drive, but totally worth it for seafood cooked up fresh and delicious; and great Angus burgers, too. Also, Hook'd for yummy mahi or shrimp tacos - be sure to sit facing the gulf for a great view. Hunt's for the freshest oysters around, with prices that can't be beat. The wait will be long, but again, worth it. Dee's Hangout was good. Hammerhead Fred's was a fun experience, too. Publix for groceries wasn't that great - the produce was awful; Walmart was packed and the lines were 15-20 people long so we didn't even stay; Winn Dixie was fine.

The beach itself was pretty but our room was terrible. We got to smelling urine and we took off the bedsheets and the whole mattress was soiled with urine. Both sides. Toilet wouldn't flush. Carpets was filthy. Couldn't get either sliding door open easily. The blinds were falling down. I could say more . I do have pictures and the named Robin said she would look into it but I doubt she will. She didn't seemed interested. If she doesn't refund our $1031.66 we paid for the week. I'm reporting it to the Health Department and the Better Business Bureau. Robin did admit the mattress was soiled

I was a little skeptic, but this place has an AMAZING VIEW from the balcony! It is worth it just for that. I would recommend only two people or a really close group of four to stay here. The space is just right for two in my option. Super quick and easy access to the beach! This place is just a short drive to Dusty's Oyster Bar and we visited twice when we stayed here. Amazing seafood! The Hidden Lagoon Super Golf and Racetrack is literally right across the street and we ended up walking there one night and playing a round of golf. You can win $50 if you get a hole in one on the last hole. Shuckums Oyster Pub & Seafood Grill is just a short drive as well. We had a GREAT trip and we plan on staying here again in the future.

The beach was great and very close. We would like to come back and stay again. Also we went to the Coconut Creek maize and mini golf. We would like to go to St. Andrews Park and Wonderworks next time. I also liked both the county pier and city pier. A little bit of a drive, but we found bigger shells and hermit crabs on the beach near Hathaway bridge. Also we like the Panama City Beach Winery that was connected to our property. They have wine tasting everyday and you can taste 10-12 different wines.
