We went to O.C. Whites for a good seafood dinner. Everything we had was delicious and it was reasonably priced. Maple Street Biscuit was also outstanding for breakfast.

My family took a kayak trip around the fort and estuaries through St. Augustine Eco Tours. It was the highlight of the trip. We saw birds we never see in California, saw a couple of manatees, and a shark. The guide was very knowledgeable and you can tell care deeply about the environment. I highly recommend.

St. Augustine is such a great city! We drank from the fountain of youth, toured the fort, shopped downtown, and ate at many great places during our short 3 night stay. I recommend having breakfast at Maple Street Biscuit Company and Brunch at the Casablanca Inn. Try Mojo Old City BBQ if you like BBQ and whiskey. Cap's on the Water was my favorite dinner place!

The beach was clean and basically private. The water was perfect for swimming and body surfing! Enjoyed the downtown shopping areas and the Fort. The lighthouse tour was great too! So much to do here for any age or interest!

The distance from the home to St Augustine is perfect. It is not to close or to far. The proximity of Matanzas Inlet for beach and fishing is perfect. The free ferry to the little Fort Matanzas is just up the road and a great way to spend a few hours. Great location

Beach allows dogs, which we loved. Bing's Landing best BBQ ever. Matanzas Cafe, good conch chowder! Don't miss downtown St. Augustine at night. Magnificently lit up! Most restaurants have outdoor pet friendly areas. And on Hibernia Street I got a fabulous Chinese foot massage. Not a fancy place by any means, but best massage ever!

We enjoyed walking on the beach, We enjoyed the lighthouse. We did a segway tour that was fun.
All in all it was a good vacation. The unit was well appointed and cared for. The kitchen was very usable and we cooked every day. WE enjoyed the deck and the beach. There is a fair amount of traffic going into and out of the old city that got old. The grocery store is close but and that is a plus. There are Good bike lanes for riding.

There are a few excellent restaurants in the area that serve fresh local seafood and offer water-front dining. We suggest Cap's On the Water, in particular - for the terrific service, a variety of daily local catch offerings (oysters!) and gorgeous sunset views from the large deck that fronts the inter-coastal waterway. The Reef is another excellent choice - white tablecloth seating inside, nice deck with ocean-front views, good menu with nightly specials, great cocktails, attentive service.
