Garnet Cafe is the best. Every time. We have been there 10 times? Avoid the restaurants at the resort (Bonsai Bistro, etc) All equally terrible.

Downtown farmers market. It was cool that the marina and bar were so close but we were there in the off season so they were closed :(. We loved driving around the lake on the smaller roads like lofts bay. Having the beach access w/fire pit and dick was awesome.

This home was so incredibly peaceful and lovely! We feel blessed to have found this perfect spot! Coeur d Alene lake is just a five minute drive away and we spent a fun and beautiful day paddle boarding and kayaking, that along with all the fun of the darling little downtown made this one of our favorite vacation spots. We were here for a wedding and this worked out perfect with the large bathrooms for getting ready and ironing board and iron and the beautiful baby grand piano for our enjoyment and we enjoyed some downtime reading in your beautifu big family room! We would love to stay here again ! Thank you owners of this lovely home!

The great location provided our family with a variety of memorable experience s with the park, beach and easy access to town. Several of our family grew up in CdA and it is special to us and the property made it special as will. If things work out we would try and plan to rent again next year.

We spent one afternoon fishing with a guide from Castaway Fly Shop which was fun. And another afternoon zip-lining with Timberline Adventures, which was thrilling/exciting/a little scary. But ultimately we decided we should have spent more time down at the beach at Paradise Regained.

Visiting in March, I enjoyed being virtually alone in the area, perfect for this getaway. I also like to hike and unfortunately could not find any trails nearby (people must go for the lake), so I drove 35 minutes to Heyburn State Park where there were plenty of beautiful trails to choose from.

We used to live in Hayden, so this was going home. Good day rates at the Kroc Center for a great kid pool in winter. In summer we loved hanging at Honeysuckle Beach on Hayden Lake or at City Beach in C d'A. Silverwood is awesome, our kids worked there. Eat at Cafe Carambola for lunch! It's small, but the food is an amazing, creative blend of S. American flavors, and Carlos has an incredible memory for getting your order right. Have the agua fresca. Easy hikes on Tubbs Hill. If you're visiting for a while, driving down to Wallace and touring the historic brothel is a riot. Rent kayaks on the beach by the college, or have Miles Moore take you out on his sailboat (email him at funtosail@gmail.com for information--he also rents Hobies).

The Coeur d' Alene Resort and surrounding area is beautiful this time of year. The location of this vacation rental was perfect for our family gathering. It is within walking distance of the annual Christmas Tree lighting, parade and fireworks over the lake. The large park (which worked well for the kids) is directly across the street and downtown main street is very close.

I rented the house to take 3 of my Senior piano students away for a practice weekend to prepare for Senior Recitals and adjudications. I had seen from the photos that there was a grand piano. What a treat! The house is a house of music - music scores on the library shelves, opera magazines and a very nice piano (fairly in tune). We set up 2 keyboards in the full basement and rotated throughout the weekend. We finished up our time with a concert in the beautiful living room for a few close friends. The house was more than perfect for our weekend goals!

The CDA resort is a great starting point, I live near CDA so I have a boat that I keep at the resort, but if you're coming in from out of town you can rent a boat from the resort and its 5 min straight across the lake to this property. Crafted and Crickets are my two favorite places to eat downtown and Cedars is always a great place to eat and enjoy the lake and it is particularly fun if you can arrive by boat.

We really loved the easy access to anything we wanted to do. We were unsure as to how far we would have to drive from the property to get anywhere but everything was very reasonable.

We eat very cleanly so it was important for us to have Access to an organic store and that was easily achieved. Even the Spokane airport wasn't too far away, maybe an hour at most to pick up some family members who were staying with us.
