Being on the lake was a real treat. The morning beauty with a cup of coffee was awesome. The deck had plenty of seating when the weather was warm enough. Very nice atmosphere. I enjoyed being out of the way. The nearby Wold Lodge steakhouse provided an awesome steak dinner in a casual 'rustic' atmosphere (a bit pricey, but very good). The unit is a very impressive place right on the water. I'm hopeful to come back during warm season to boat or swim in the lake. We saw many deer wandering around while we were there. Kinda cool. And I LOVED the location of the two parking spaces! Right near the elevators to the 3rd floor. Covered parking too was nice while it was raining. Easy to access the garbage bin in the covered parking area too. That was cool.

The landing's restaurant in Harrison, small but really big on portions & friendly service. Overlook outside is terrific!

We were very happy to be close to the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes. It is one of our favorite bike trails, and always a wonderful way to spend a vacation. We did so much bike riding that we didn't have a chance to try out the canoe, but perhaps next time. We also enjoyed being close to downtown Harrison and enjoyed all the festivities and lovely shops.

We found the owner of the Art Shop very rude. This happened on Thursday after a nice long bike ride, we wanted to walk our bikes up to the corner of that coffee/bakery shop (which was closed that day) and I was going to get a cup of coffee below in the restaurant/bar place (can't remember names) and my sister wanted an ice cream cone. So we pulled our bikes along the railing completely out of the way of any foot traffic to the businesses (which were mostly closed except the art store). While I waited for my sister to get her ice cream - the owner came out and demanded I move the bikes because I was blocking her business. I told her I wasn't blocking any entrance and there was absolutely NO other people shopping during that time. She kept insisting me to move. I told her I would as soon as my sister came back from getting her ice cream. Too put it likely - she was a snob and could have been more considerate. So instead of buying coffee below - we took our bikes down to the coffee/bike shop down the road and he welcomed us with open arms. Told us we could leave our bikes on the sidewalk and sit on his deck with our dogs and enjoy our coffee! Now that's the kind of service we like in a resort town like Harrison. If there would have been lot's of tourists out shopping - we wouldn't have put our bikes on that deck, but it was completely dead that day and she could have been more considerate. In fact, she lost some business because my sister is an artist and was going to go into her store but after that encounter...no way would we ever go in there! That really ruined our day and makes me not want to come back to stay in Harrison anymore.

The main focus for us was the house and surrounding view. The house was immaculate and the views from the entire house and balcony were breathtahing!!! We did enjoy lunch and brunch in downtown Couer d'Alene, especially sice they iffer great boat access. There was many places on the lake to go visit or have lunch and downtown Harrison was the trip back in time if I could give this a 10 star rating I would from live deer on the property two wild turkeys it felt like we were back in time blessed by Nature and everything it had to offer the water on the lake was beautiful the sun sets were Immaculate and The Moon Rises were un believable we're looking forward to coming back again and again truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience you must go

Boating on Lake Coeur D' Alene is awesome, also, bring your bikes as Trail Coeur D' Alene is only a 15 minute drive with 71 miles of trail starting in Plummer running along the lake, over an old train bridge crossing the lake and through Harrison.

Trail of the Coeur d'Alene is great for bking and walking. A lot of wildlife to see. Most mornings and evenings multiple deer were seen in the property next door (which is the historic Harrison school building) and now has an empty field around it. Also wild turkeys, quail, osprey, eagles.

Unfortunately, the ice cream shop in Harrison wasn't yet open for the season, but any summer time guest should make a visit to the creamery a priority! Riding, or at least walking, the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes is an experience all should enjoy.

We loved going into the town of Harrison and visiting the art gallery there and talking with the owner. She was very delightful and helpful with information about the local artists. We also enjoyed eating at a local restaurant there in town which was in an old building.
But the best part was sitting and watching the sun come up and go down over the beautiful lake from the lovely deck.

If you are a biker, the Coeur d' Alene trail is awesome. It is just two blocks from this property. Although the bike trail is not physically challenging due to minimal elevation changes, the wild life was tremendous. Every day I saw a differ mouse, saw many Osprey an Eagle, many Herons, many deer and even a bear cub swimming in Lake Coeur d' Alene. If we come back to this area we will definityly stay at this property as it was exactly as advertised.
