The weather affected our opinion of Ketchum village. Many sidewalks and driveways in the business had not been cleared of snow. With constant rain, they became more than a challenge with deep slush, deep puddles and rivers of water.
The ski mountain was a top class facility in terms of amenities, skiing and service. There was no problem getting a refund on the day the mountain was closed.
We decided not to rent a car, and found the Mountain Rides from the airport worked well for us. Otherwise, everything was close by so we walked.

Love eating at the Sawtooth Club, and the sleighride and dinner at Trailcreek Cabin. Rico's good for pizza, marinara sauce, and meatballs! Skiing at Baldy and Dollar always great. DiVine in Hailey has yummy fondue, Consign Design is wonderful for shopping as is The Farmer's Daughter, Atkinson's, Ketchum Kitchens, Chateau Drug, the Gold Mine and Jane's Paper Place(Hailey). Bowling at the Sun Valley Lodge a family favorite as is the Chocolate Foundry at Sun Valley Mall. Happy Hour at the Sun Valley Inn, good.

The location was perfect for walking into downtown Ketchum. It snowed the first full day so it was great for walking to stores and restaurants and not having to drive in the snow. Downtown Ketchum is very quaint.

Biking was great - Harriman trail is a nice mtn bike(ish) path along the Wood River and the Baldy gondola gives you a great downhill ride and views (although was not easily ridden by beginners). Warfield has a great deck with views of Baldy and decent beers/coctails to enjoy a warm summer afternoon. For something different - try trap shooting at the SV Gun Club, super friendly people and helpful for rank beginners.

We love to go out to eat when we are on vacation and we were able to walk to some great restaurants from the condo. We ate at Enoteka, Whiskey Jacques and Il Naso for dinners and they were all great. The new Warfield restaurant was a cool place to hang out (on the roof top bar and patio) for drinks before going to dinner. There was also live music every night at Whiskey Jacques later in the evenings.

Lefty's and Grump's are great spots for a burger and a beer. The Ketchum Grill and Sawtooth Club are the spots for a more upscale experience. There are so many wonderful activities in the area but one that stands out is biking on the wood river trail and stopping for a quick dip in the Big Wood River. Also the location of the apartment is fantastic. It's in town but on the fringe so nice and quiet. The Balt Mountain lifts are also close so it's a quick drive or short walk to the gondola and mountain trails.

Go to Soldier Mountain in Fairfield for skiing - <$50 for one adult and 2 kids, no lines and family friendly (Thur-Sun). Sun Valley has no discounts this year - $300 for one day for one adult and 2 kids is too much for late season crust/slush.
YMCA has a great pool area and a good climbing gym.
There is a small sledding hill right behind the property - needs adult supervision to keep the wee ones from crashing into the trees.

There's so much to love. This location is convenient to the Sun Valley Lodge, where we always enjoy seeing an ice show or symphony. It's so easy to get to Ketchum, and enjoy the myriad fantastic restaurants there. We also did a lot of exploring and fly fishing -- Copper Basin, the Big Lost, Silver Creek. This unit is a great place to "park" whether you're on the go or want to relax in a beautiful home.

Hadn't been back to Ketchum/Sun Valley in 35 years when we lived there. Still a beautiful location and setting...nothing like the Sawtooths!
It has grown and seems like a few more changes are in store for the town which may
help/encourage the downtown area to keep up their businesses and storefronts better.
Weather was great...even when we lived there...to ski....we always said it was one of the best places for summer.

We loved our meals at the Pioneer Saloon and Rickshaw. We also enjoyed going for runs to the elementary school/sports fields, hiking, and checking out the little park near Annie's Garden. We also had a really positive experience at Gather Yoga, where instructor Richard taught a really beautiful class. The John Butler Trio was playing at the base of the mountain/ski lift during our stay, so we bought tickets and had a picnic dinner at the venue. Gorgeous! We particularly enjoyed all the restaurants and the variety of food that Ketchum has to offer. There was inexpensive, basic comfort food to off the charts gourmet depending on your taste and budget. We also really enjoyed the gondola ride up to the Round House restaurant and bar as well as the Lookout restaurant further up the mountain. It was a convenient location for walking everywhere we wanted to go in Ketchum and the condo itself was well taken care of and had been remodeled to look very modern.

We are very familiar with Sun Valley and have many favorite restaurants. The owner might provide a list of favorites in his 3 ring binder for other guests as a guide.

The swimming pool at the Y was great for the kids, the bus service around town was easy for them to use as well after they went ice skating at the Lodge (and I was getting a massage!). Easy walk to the slopes and a dog-friendly complex. All were great aspects of our visit to Sun Valley this year.

The condo is super close to Mt. Baldy and close to Dollar Mountain. The condo's location made it easy to navigate to the various restaurants and grocery stores in Ketchum. Our favorite restaurant was the Ketchum Grill and Wise Guys Pizza.
